Brought my 5 years old to the A&E and diagnosed with tibia fracture. Stayed in the pediatric ward for a day to get the cast done. Though we need to share it with another patient, IMO the ward is quite spacious especially given this is in Hong Kong. The food provided by the hospital is not good, however, given the fee per day of staying in the hospital is HK$60 (less than USD10), I would say it has been very generous that they provide food. The medical treatment is professional and the doctors and nurses are quite nice. Through conversations with their medical staff, as a parent I feel comfortable of having my girl treated here.

The staff is rude and racist. Saw them laugh at and make fun of patients that were crying out in pain. 0/10 would not recommend this hospital to anyone, even if you are dying.

I read a lot of complaint here about foreign racism, is not true, at least for me. Yesterday after an eye accident (retinal holes) and meet the doctor at ER Caritas, I was checking my eyes at second floor Ophtalmology service. Every time, every room you are called by your name, never by number, and the number are displayed on the screen next the room door. All people I met, nurses, doctor even the staff at apointment/registration, all people are speaking English and repeat 2 time if needed... :)

Giving a single start because I can't give 0 stars. Absolute shame of a hospital, 2B emergency ward nurses do not want to do their jobs at all. A friend was admitted there, the staff took out some blood for tests but then left the needle pierced in the hand for more than 6 hours. When my friend told them she is agitated because of it and asked them to remove the needle, they sedated her, put her to sleep and tied her down to the bed. Did not even let her go to the washroom, refused to untie her. After all this, the doctor comes and tells her "show some respect, you're in a hospital". She came out worse than before she was admitted. I wish I had the power to get the nurses and doctors arrested for their negligence and inability. Treating patients like animals, absolute no respect shown whatsoever. Worst hospital I have ever been to.

Service was very bad in 7B in Wai Shun. Most of the staff were rude, irresponsible and impatient. My dad’s intravenous drip needle area was filled with blood. I talked to one of the staff, the second staff, and talked to them again and again, after 2 hours, one of the nurse came to tell me that another nurse was preparing needles for my dad, who would come in about an hour. The bed was dirty. The service in 13A was comparatively way better! As soon as the machines beeped, the nurse rushed in to check my dad. During meal time, when the nurse heard coughing, they rushed in to check my dad as well (my dad had pneumonia complication). After 2 weeks of hospitalised, many new bed sores were found on my dad’s foot and leg.

They made suspected COVID patients wait in the freezing rain outside for 5+ hours (personally waited since 7pm to 1am without a single nurse to approach or even test me), people can just walk into the area too without any precautions as well as simply leave After 5+ hours of waiting, I left around 1am because I was quite literally freezing to death in the rain (12 degrees and showering at late night) and there seemed to be no assistance at all.

I wish I can put no star instead on 1 star. It is really unacceptable, my 8x yrs old grandma got discharged from CMC today. But the drip on her arm was not removed and bleeding very badly!

Not foreigner-friendly, the queue in particular. The numbers are announced in Cantonese; even the staff, when directing the patients which room they should proceed, would call out the patients’ numbers in Cantonese. During registration, you can request for your number to be called in English and they will note, although it doesn’t work all the time. And in few occasions, you will encounter staff that are upfront rude.

Wonderful service experience. Better than Kwong Wah Hospital with regard to the effectiveness and careness of medical staff on dealing with emergency cases.
