Fairly challenging hike with what feels like endless stairs, but stunning views looking back on the city! We spotted a few monkeys and a snake (!) in the grass. Bring lots of water and a snack if you choose to visit on a hot day. Note: the start of the hike involves a steep and long walk up from the MTR station, however there are cabs available if you’re short on time (or want to conserve energy for the hike). Highly recommend!

This is an absolute highlight if you come to Hong Kong. The climb up is fairly steep, but you get rewarded with the best views over this amazing city

This is a very nice place with lots of autistic decorations. There are also lots of facilities to let people use, such as chairs, a flat grass, children playground. The trees in here are in very well cared, they look healthy beautiful. It's a very nice place to go with friends or families.

A very beautifully kept park. Can have a very nice view of the Lion Rock. Easy uphill access from Wong Tai Sin MTR station. Not much people on weekday

Good place for BBQ. Kids also enjoy there because of children playground also there. We usually go there and always enjoy. Very big area so many pits are available for BBQ. Environment is good, bring along all your BBQ stuff with you, because you can't buy anything from there. Take taxi or come by private car to reach up that place. Dogs are not allowed, always be careful with the monkeys there, don't leave your food and belongings unattended. Please like my review if its helpful. πŸ™

For some of the best views across Kowloon and distant Hong Kong Island, this is an accessible, easy to reach hike suitable for any level. However it's not suitable for strollers / wheelchairs due to the steps. Given its accessibility and the stunning views it can get very busy, especially on weekends and public holidays. On clear days you can see all the way over to Tuen Mun and Gold Coast! Lion Rock Park is one of the (many) reasons why Hong Kong is such an amazing place to live: dynamic urban living and stunning mountains all in the same square mile! πŸ˜πŸŒ‡β›°οΈ

The most iconic peak in Hong Kong with couple of trails to the top. As a beginner, you could start from Maclehose TrailπŸ’ͺ

Buddha holiday is a good day for hiking and cloudy weather is not hot so all over the trial a lot of people and children met together. Beginning at Tin Ma Court, take a little more than 1 hr all the way up to the head of lion. Most of the trail are well build stone stair but it may need hand for balance after the rest at (钨雨亭). The descending trail is a little rough that take around 1-1/4hr back to Wong Tai Sin MTR station. The whole trail around 6 miles is a very popular place for local and visitor. Besides, there is several buddha temple up the hill and around.

Steep elevation uphill but relatively doable downhill and plenty of flat terrain to run or fast-paced walk. Total distance of 7km, around 2hrs 30mins and roughly 12,000 steps. Beautiful sunset.

This is the best place in Hong Kong overlooking the the entire Kowloon, Victoria Habor, and HK island to the south as well as New Territory to the north. The trail takes about 1 and a half or 2 hours to reach the top which is the Peak of Lion Rock. Well worth the hike with the reward of panoramic views of the city of Hong Kong.

Not easy to climb. Initially there were stairs then came rocks and then sand and logs. For someone who barely works out, this was quite challenging. The view was amazing but sadly when I went, there were haze and many clouds.

Great place for picnics and for kids to run around. Also it's a starting point for the Lion Rock trail.

Away from the bustling urban streets of HK and immerse into a rare relaxing greenery just below the infamous lion's rock of Hong Kong.
