Pretty beach in Hong Kong. Clear waters and sand. Many junk boat parties happening at the bay which may block the view. More people than expected as this is way more accessible than the other beaches. Would say relatively crowded compared to other remote beach I went. There are food options here. You will have to book a speed boat back with them in the restaurants. They cost $160-$170 right now. Only accept cash.

Lovely beach, good for camping. If hiking in, the cheaper option, as the boat from Sai Kung is 150 each way for the 30 minute ride, you get the 29R white minibus from outside McDonald's in Sai Kung. Last bus in the morning is 11.30 on a Sunday and the queue will be long, so get there in good time. Go to Sai Wan Pavilion, last stop, then head along the trail. Takes about 20 minutes.

Really nice "double beach". Accessible from Sai Wan Pavilion by hiking or Sai Kung ferry pier by boat. Has a few small restaurants.

One of the best beaches in Hong Kong. White sand and clear water. It’s got a couple restaurants by the beach and even has direct speed boats that gets you directly there from Sai Kung pier (~$120-150 per person depending on day/season).

Frankly, this beach has quite a few visitors and lacks maintenance. There are considerable debris and garbage wash up on the north side.

Sai Kung is regarded as the backyard of Hong Kong and it does live up to its fame. Amongst other sites, Sai Wan is the most accessible one. Take a mini-bus at the Sai Kung town centre, around 25 min walk then you arrive at Sai Wan Beach. It's very very very clear, spectacular scenery, and you see plenty of maritime lives in the sea, fish, crab, slug, sea cucumber, you name it. There are small restaurants there you can enjoy some fast food with the great sea view. Another 3 hour walk along the nicely built path you arrive at the Yellow Stone Pier where you take bus back to the town. It's a lovely place to go.

One of the best beaches in hk. Little shop has good Chinese food for lunch, drinks and umbrella to rent. Water is clean and clear. It’s a bit far but worth the trip. Note go early and come back by 4. The beach turns to shade then

Absolutely stunning slice of paradise not far from the city bustle. More trails then you can shake a stick at and views to take your breath away. Make a point of visiting this place.

There are several impressive beaches at Tai Long Bay in the Sai Kung East Country Park coastal area, including the Sai Wan Beach. These are amongst the most beautiful and isolated beaches you will find in Hong Kong. You'll need to allow some time to simply reach the beaches. Once you do you will rewarded with long stretches of smooth white sand, minimal rubbish and far fewer people than you will encounter at the beaches within reach of normal public transportation closer to the city. The water is clean and clear, makes for good surfing, swimming or other beach related activities with friends. The most convenient to reach is Sai Wan Beach where you will also find a small village, lagoon area, organic farming, public toilets and convenient shop for light snacks and drinks and a couple of beach cafes. There is a camping area with BBQ pits here as well for those who want to hike in and stay overnight. Note: The easiest way to Sai Wan Beach by foot is 2.2 km hike from Sai Wan Pavilion. There is a public bus (29R) that makes this journey from Sai Kung Village. Otherwise, you will pass through the beach as part of Stage 2 of the MacLehose Trail. It is 6.6 km from the trailhead at the High Island Reservoir East Dam. Boat rides can be arranged as well directly to/from Sai Kung Village.
