Absolutely gorgeous, the traditional architecture is beautiful to see and the well kept nature just keeps you staring, it’s not even a large place but I went around a few times to look at the sights in different lighting. The rock garden is very pretty, once you’re told that they formed naturally they’re even more impressive to look at. I had the pleasure of talking to a lovely woman about Chinese architecture and structure, she was so well informed so please do try check that out if you have a chance. I think I’ll go again soon, even the fence is impressive.

Beautiful Park here in Hong Kong, it is well maintained, so much to see around, many temples, I like the soft calm music in the back ground. So peaceful. A must visit place. A two minute walk from Diamond Hill MTR Station exit C1 or C2.

Beautiful peaceful oasis where you're removed from the traffic of the world. You can spend a lot of time here admiring the architecture to culture to traditions to religion behind it all. Well kept and managed. There is no admission fee. Be very respectful in this place and aware of the rules as well.

A *must visit*, to get the other side of Hong Kong that is hard to find: Calm. Green. Contemplative. The gardens are an instant transformation to calm. They are beautifully maintained. You'll love the little touches of amazing design all around. For $20 you can also visit the pottery museam, it is totally worth it with art by masters. Bring your nice camera along, there are so many amazing shots to take. Be sure to linger with the koi on the pond, and eat at the restaurant (double the fun with a seat under the waterfall).

Nan Lian Garden: A Tranquil Oasis Let me transport you to Nan Lian Garden, a hidden oasis in the heart of Hong Kong. This picturesque garden is a serene escape from the urban hustle and bustle. Stroll along meandering pathways, surrounded by meticulously landscaped greenery and elegant wooden structures. The peaceful lotus pond and traditional Chinese architecture make it a photographer's dream. Don't miss the Chi Lin Nunnery nearby, a stunning Buddhist temple complex. Both places offer a glimpse into ancient Chinese culture and spirituality. To fully embrace the tranquility, visit during weekdays to avoid crowds. Nan Lian Garden is a serene haven in the midst of a bustling city, inviting you to relax and rejuvenate.

Somehow Nan Lian Garden provides a peaceful tranquil area in the middle of the busy Hong Kong. It is easy to forget that you are in the middle of a loud city whilst walking through here. Even though we went through at night time where some aspects of the garden were closed, it was still nice to walk through with relaxing background music and beautiful bonsai trees amongst the backdrop of Hong Kong skyscrapers. Even better, it is free entry!

This garden is beautiful and well- maintained trees and plants. There are many activities to do when you are there. This place is kind of big so you have to walk and enjoy nature also architecture. Inside the garden has a gigantic and traditional Chinese temple with tranquil view.

Nan Lian Garden is under renovation when we visiting. So we didn’t get to the the beautiful pergola. A big portion of the garden is fenced off as well. We still had fun visiting the pavilions.

Very nice garden, perfect spot to take beautiful & calm photos. Just stay away from the guards, they are very picky with the covid rules (still...). On a cold day we were drinking hot water, no one around us, but the guard still came to us to ask to drink faster (boiled water).... They really need to stop to work "by the book"... Otherwise it was a great experience.

A Chinese garden with some Japanese element. The park is free and very well kept, but access to most of the features are blocked off, can only take photos from a distance. Plan to spend up to an hour here.

A very well-maintained public park. Food and drinks arent allowed inside hence the surrounding is very clean. Zen and calm music being played in the background helps you to immerse yourself in the ambience.

Fresh air, beautiful scenery with hills, water features, trees, rocks and wooden structures. This garden is in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong near Diamond Hill station. The garden is open daily from 7am to 9pm. So, you can go there anytime but I recommend that you should go there at least 3 different times to enjoy the view from morning to afternoon and night.

Such a great experience for those who, like me, love nature. In the middle of the busyness of Hong Kong City, it is embedded this marvellous Garden. Totally accesible. If you come with seniors there are plenty of seatings for them. There are 3 washrooms in the overall garden, so be prepared to walk to get there. Beautiful rocks 🪨 and 🌳 trees, the singing of the birds brings too much joy. The scenery is soooo peaceful. We came by train. So, public transportation was easy. Allocate 45 mins for the visit, but definitely you can stay longer! Did I mention it is FREE? Can’t be better! A must visit!

This place is very beautiful, just seemed that lots of the paths were closed off so didn't get to see everything but it was a very quiet place to visit during the week! If you are looking to get a break from the busy city this place is perfect! Can't bring any food though so if you're mediation requires snacking you won't find it here ;)

Very pretty and tranquil. It’s small but has nicely defined areas where you can rest under the shade and appreciate the scenery. There are some rooms specifically aimed at certain bits of history and architecture, plus some information in English if you’d like to know more about the place. There are a bunch of entrances and one connects to the Nunnery, also worth visiting

Probably the most beautiful place we visited here in Hong Kong. The place looks very serene. It’s our last day in Hong Kong when we got here so we have our luggage with us. Since the wheels make a lot of noise, the staff ask us to leave it at the entrance which we totally understand since they promote peace and quiet in this beautiful garden. We’ll definitely comeback here to explore more of it

Surprised to find that there exists this garden where you can relax and enjoy the architectures and nature. It's perfect place to take your elderly love ones. There is seating in the garden. The garden is only a few meters away from the Diamond Hill exit. 👍

The place was beautiful and peaceful. The people here who manage the place was hospitable. I went to the Nunnery temple and it was forbidden to take photos. When I entered the temple, I suddenly felt relieved as if a cold air had entered my body. However, I prayed and gave thanks. Beautiful place

Quiet, peaceful, elegant. Rare location of tranquility in a busy city. Nice place for some contemplation and reflection. Years ago when I first visited, I was moved to tears for some unknown reason, listening to the sutra being broadcasted over the sound system. I felt like a weight had been lifted off me as I left. I hope you find the peace you seek or at least some solace if you visit.

Very nice garden with plenty of big and small bonsai trees and it was aww just to see so much and so many of these trees! Very well maintained, very clean and the landscape is nice. Every corner is a chance for you to take a photo! A perfect place of calmness in the busy city.

Beautifully laid out gardens that you can spend an easy hour or so in. Entry is free. There are toilets on site as well as a gift shop (although it isn't cheap!) I would definitely like to return at night to view it when illuminated. Just across the road from the mall, so it's very convenient for food/transport.

Beautiful garden that seems popular with large tour groups. There are some shaded areas where you can rest, but I imagine it will be quite hot in the summer. Toilets were clean. Overall, a well maintained garden.

Nan Lian Garden is one of the most beautiful places I visited during this trip to Hong Kong. It is less than half an hour away from Hong Kong Island via MTR and minutes away from the station. Surrounded by roads, but no traffic noise could be heard once you are inside due to the sound of the water features and waterfalls. I was surprised by how peaceful I felt within minutes of being in the garden. Very well designed. No admission fee. Worth a visit. 🪷
