A good experience with good technique in making delicious French dishes. However, except for the first dishes ( other than those stated in the menu ) , there were no explanation in the ingredients of each dishes when each of the courses was served ! Moreover, there’s been once that when one of the waiter alone taking two dishes to serve us at one time and he has not served the lady’s dish first (should this be in a fine dining restaurant ?) !

Tried the brunch menu, it’s really good, tasty and served at right temperature. The tartar, pasta, frog legs, baked chicken, and most surprisingly good was the dessert! Well done Chef. Service can do better, table was a bit small for the gourmet. A waiter took away a bread plate for leaving sufficient room for the gourmet serving?!

Amazing food and service on the second floor but the reception was a bit rude when I contacted her on the phone due to an unexpected delay on arrival. Love the balcony seat and the frog leg. The angel hair pasta was also heavenly. All the dishes are good but the starters are exceptional. Thank you shristen for the warm and attentive service!

The dining experience is nice overall from appetizers to dessert, with such a comfy ambience. I've never eaten pigeon that can be so nicely cooked in such a tender texture. However, their signature dish, yellow roasted chicken, is a bit overrated and overpriced. We've eaten many roasted chickens better than this one. The chicken is a bit salty for us, and we would expect the chicken texture to be softer and more juicy. The chicken rice is definitely tasty though, as they've mixed the rice with quite crispy chicken skin.

Chicken was definitely pricey but oh-so delicious. Every other dish was also a delight to have. The pasta well-exceeded my expectations as well. Potato foam dish was a classic dish well made. Amazing meal overall

Great dishes and make sure you save room for the desserts.....roast chicken probably the most expensive in HK....service was a little hurried and rushed...maybe not experienced to this type of restaurant? Wine is priced about 3 times retail...one toilet upstairs is for both male and female ....enjoy

Everything was delicious, love their welcome starters, surprised me everytime. Except the roasted yellow chicken seems downhill a bit, not THAT amazing refer to previous visit. But their desserts were amazing, especially the fig one YUM! I prefer order their cocktails rather than open a bottle of wine there, their cocktails are pretty good!

Nice decor, good service. Food was very good, and despite not having their famous chicken, the rest of their food was very good. The pasta and their desserts were extremely good, as well as their madelines. Will revisit to try the rest of their menu!

The dining experience is nice overall from appetizers to dessert, with such a comfy ambience. I've never eaten chicken that can be so nicely cooked in such a tender texture. Staff was great very attentive, very friendly. Knowledgable with the menu, and totally suggested the rig he portion of food. However, super nice dishes, their signature dish, yellow roasted chicken and the smoked organic egg are amazing, the chicken rice is definitely tasty though, as they've mixed the rice with quite crispy chicken skin.

My wife and I had a delightful four-course lunch here. The dishes "Laurent Berrurier iodized flavour beetroot tartar, arugula and horseraddish sorbet" and "Pan seared Hokkaido scallop, leek and smoked sardines, lemon bergamot 'beurre blanc'" as well as the dessert "Wakayama citrus textures, basil sorbet" were heavenly. For the main course, we had their signature dish, "Roasted Hong Kong yellow chicken, Niigata rice ‘en cocotte’, salad". It's remarkable though in our opinion, it could not beat a few Chinese style chicken-based dishes we had before at other restaurants. p.s. When making the reservation, I reuested a table upstairs. However, around an hour before the lunch, I was notified by phone that they would arrange a table downstairs for us. This kind of last-moment notification would give a negative impression to diners.

Food here is pretty good, especially the roast chicken which is AMAZING. I would totally come back just for that. I do feel the overall menu is a but limited though.

Went for a Sunday brunch and had an amazing experience. Ordered scallops, frog's legs, tartare, truffle eggs, cheese platter and two amazing white wines as well as a red - need to revisit to try some of their signature dishes. Service is top notch, outdoor setting is lovely, food is very good.

My only criticism (hence the four stars) is that the head chief yells out the orders to his kitchen staff while facing the restaurant - this can be disruptive while trying to enjoy your expensive meal. And the vegetarian/vegan are extremely thin. Otherwise, Louise definitely met our expectations for dining at a top french restaurant. The food and service was spot-on. Probably the best French dining experience here in HK. Go if you can get a reservation. Just try not to sit too close to the kitchen.

I was invited today for a special birthday lunch. Arrival is a bit messy and disorganised but once seated the real culinary voyage starts. Menu is well explained in great detail by the senior staff, sommelier as well the service staff. The orders are prepared in the greatest detail and infused by extra ordinary flavours in sauces or side dishes. In a nutshell, a great place to enjoy French cuisine with the freshest ingredients. Recommended.

One of the best French restaurants in Hong Kong! The French food reimagined is just fantastic. And that terrace they have is just amazing when the weather is not too hot. They had such an amazing Wine team with Marc and Louis. I miss them very much.

One of the best roast chicken I have ever had in my life! The skin was crispy while the meat (both breast meat and thigh meat) was tender and moist. The chicken rice was not as fragrant as I thought it would be but still good. The French beef tenderloin and the pommes soufflées were delicious too!

Very good good and would want to come back and try other dishes as well. I guess the minor things that bothered me are the drinks didn’t come with coasters (condensed water dripped on the table) and the some staff was chitchatting at a volume that the guests could definitely hear them.

Exceptional lunch service. Easy and relaxed atmosphere in a cozy main dining area. Didn’t feel cramped in the smaller space. Food was very tasty. Lunch is easier to book and better value than dinner

5 star for this Michelin star restaurant. Visited for my birthday dinner. Firstly the Building and inner decor of this place is beautiful. Chic designer, tropical theme and very comfortable. Outer terrace and balcony seats is a very nice options right now in the (almost) fall weather. there were a number of items we wanted to try on the menu, but we had just 2 of us so our options were limited. we ordered: Homemade Louise black truffle pâté en croûte, Smoked organic egg (this sounds like "just an egg" but combined with the other items in this dish, is very very good), Roasted Hong Kong yellow chicken (a very tender, flavorful roasted chicken, with the Japanese rice that is topped with fried Chicken Skin!) Besides the food we ordered, there were welcoming appetizers and also dessert. Staff was friendly and offered good recommendations on the food and wine. Also had a heart-warming HBD from everyone there.

Food is good and service is excellent. The sole is delicious. I choose the basil sorbet for my dessert which is tasty. Highly recommend a cocktail which is cold coffee mix with vodka, lemon, angostura. We enjoyed the whole dinner. 😋😋. I want to go back again soon. P.S. atmosphere is great and toilet is very clean with Thai perfume. 🥰🥰

You won't find someone more conscious of good 'price-to-value' ratio than me. When I saw the price of the dinner, I couldn't imagine it would be worth it. When I saw the menu, with mostly dishes and ingredients that sounded unappealing (to me), I braced myself for disappointment but... man, was I wrong! Louise is THE restaurant I rave about the most and an experience that is imprinted in my brain as one of the best birthday dinner I've ever had. Louise has become a benchmark for any michelin-starred establishement and -so far- remains unbeaten. Not cheap $1,500HKD for the menu (not including drinks and not including the 10% HK service charge) but, if you've got the budget for it, go for it. If you go for the long tasting menu, I'm not super keen on their famous 'yellow chicken' add-on. It's fantastic but you will be too full to enjoy it by the time they serve it and the cost-to-enjoyment value just isn't there -in my opinion. The highlight of the dinner was, ironically, an amuse-bouche not included in the menu: bean soup with cherry vinegar. It sounds disgusting but it blew my mind :)

The signature roasted yellow chicken from Louise is undoubtedly my all-time favorite chicken dish in town. The best part is the rice, which was cooked in a cast iron port seasoned with chicken fat, chicken skin, onions and chives. It’s warm, comforting, and savory with a wonderful aromatic. This only worth the Michelin one star and I wish they come in a bigger size. As Louise combined a rustic style into their French cuisine, it does have a little more relaxed and approachable setting than other French fine dining restaurant.

Came for a girlie birthday lunch and we were really satisfied with the great food quality, restaurant cleanliness, classic but laid back ambience and sweet service. I reserved by whatsapp and messages were answered promptly, we booked terrace seating and were reminded that we could change prior to the time as it was raining today. A few choices for lunch- we tried all appetisers which were gorgeous, from fresh cucumber juice to trout tartar as amuse bouche, a well seasoned beetroot salad to caviar angel hair and pate to the warm poached egg with a delicate mash. Entrees not many choices but chicken to share is a must have (1/2 for 2 ppl and they give you the whole chicken to share for 3-4 ppl) with the yummy rice made with chicken broth abd crispy chicken skin. We also had scallop but other choices were beef and veggie risotto. Dessert was amazing, japanese muscat grape with miso dressing, chocolate mousse and ice cream. We had madeleines from the restaurant for my friend’s birthday gorgeous butter and citrus flavour, and caneles with coffee were small and yummy, crunchy outer and soft inside not overly sweet like the ones you get in many places. Coffee was perfectly made. All in all a great celebration lunch 🥰

Not the best service for a Michelin-starred restaurant. Their signature dish yellow chicken is worth to try. However the other dishes were underwhelming, unimpressive at all.
