I put originally 4 stars because it's nice and good atmosphere but I was super sick after eating this restaurant with an horrible gastroenteritis for a couple of days .. They should check the kitchen hygiene, the yuzu drink (... People often mention good,

Normally long queue, so quite popular restaurant... I used to eat there... I put originally 4 stars because it's nice and good atmosphere but I was super sick after eating this restaurant with an horrible gastroenteritis for a couple of days .. They should check the kitchen hygiene, the yuzu drink (the green drink on the photos) with their ice were probably contaminated... Might be a bad luck but i don't want to go there anymore and for a (cosy) restaurant we cannot risk client health. Hope they will clean the kitchen so i might consider this restaurant again. (You will notice that the restaurant is located near all the painting, garages, construction shops, so it might not help too.)

Even though The Alchemist has been around since 2012 , it was my first time dining here. It is located between Prince Edward and Sham Shui Po on a quiet street. When you go in, it feels like you are not in Hong Kong as the decor and setting is totally different and the place is spacious with tables spaced out nicely. The menu did not disappoint, there was so much choice for drinks and food that expats would love. I had a real hard time deciding as there was warm potato and seafood salad and conchiglie pasta on the menu but in the end I had the Tortilla with cheese and tomato salad. It was definitely a great pairing of warm soft tortilla with cheese and tomato. Also had the salmon sliders which came in a crispy black bun. My Asian friend had the fried chicken curry which came as a huge portion with soup too. For drinks, I fell for the kiwi cucumber yoghurt which reminded me of Indian Raita. The taste was light and refreshing so I was really glad I chose it. Also had the oolong tea by Teapigs which did not fail to impress as the tea leaf flavour was strong and not grassy. Will definitely come again as this place is a nice sanctuary in Kowloon.

Food taste good 4/5. Pizza was good (I didn’t managed to take a picture) Service is welcoming. 4.5/5 Atmosphere is comfortable 4/5. Due to its a typhoon day where the signal may change to 8, the cafe is not very crowded. I am not too sure will the cafe will be noisy if crowded. Their menu has lots of choices. I enjoyed my time with my friends.

Good bargain for its quality and portion. Same kind of food would command half or three fourth the price at other business precincts.

Perfect for lunch especially you could grab a coffee. The hazelnut latte was great, not many good cafes near Prince Edward but this is the one I will go for lunch time :)

Nice cafe, great to catch up as it is not loud, cozy. The pork chop is tendered and juicy, well seasoned. Need to book in advance though.

I like the environment and the foods and beverage of the alchemist cafe. The seats are big and comfy. Foods are tasty and the serving size is just right for adult. definitely recommended for my friends

Great ambiance, low lit lighting, good peaceful music. The food was good, I personally didn't like the New York Cheesecake, but the pasta was very good.

Cozy café with tasty food. Good choice of food, "sweet or salty" and good choice of drinks (hot & cold) as well. Staff is friendly and helpful too.

Carbonara was great. Comfortable lighting. But my nose was itchy the moment I got into the store - I am guessing it’s sth related to their aircon filter…
