The Heavenly Chikkahole Dam is about 73km from Mysuru, 197km from Bengaluru, 14km from Chamarajanagar District. Chikkahole reservoir is a dam built over the river called Chikkahole (Small River). The place is surrounded by beautiful nature. The dam consists of beautiful garden of flowers which are treat to the eyes.One will be refreshed by moving through the greenery surrounding this place. The road to this place is good. One can walk inside the garden and on the bridge and enjoy the mesmerising view all around. Ideal place for photography. Best Place to visit in Monsoon season. And also a pass time place to visit with friends and family anytime.

A small reservoir which has its source from Tamil nadu as well as Karnataka. Aesthetic is good during rainy days. Parks are not properly maintained. To visit operating area of reservoir , prior permission is must. Nearest another dam is Suvarnavathi which is connected to this reservoir via water channel.
