Awesome experience swimming at Waimea Falls. They provide life jackets for everyone and you can stay there as long as you want. Before arriving at the falls there’s a snack bar and restrooms. We brought with us a bag with our towels, snacks and water bottles. The trail takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending how long you stop to see the garden. I do recommend good water shoes with good grip, to get to the water you need to walk on slippery rocks keep that in mind. Overall great experience!!

Beautiful. A lot to learn and see. Lots of Hawaiian culture, nature and huts 🛖. Not a hike, well paved roads to the waterfall.

A truly beautiful place. I highly recommend stopping by when things are in bloom on a sunny day and really spending time exploring every trail in the area. Don't just ride the shuttle to get your waterfall picture alone. Take the extra time to see everything in the gardens beyond the ticket booth.

This is a very nice walk down a beautiful valley. There are plant species from all over the world. It is a nice experience and a great way to spend part of a day.

Beautiful easy uphill walk through gardens and forested areas to reach waimea falls. Enjoy history, gardens, and some ice cream on your way up! Bring a suit so you can jump into the pool at the base of the falls! They also have a shuttle that will take you up and down if needed!

Gorgeous place. We're on the chubby side but in good health. 40 years old. We took our time, taking pictures on the way to the falls, and did the walk in 30 minutes. Very easy. Some up hill but not bad at all. I deducted a star for mandatory life vests. Or, should I just call out the people who decided they could swim and created an incident that affected the rest of us? I'm guessing that's what happened.

What a magical place. Truly mystical rainforest feel with lots of variety of plants, trees, and flowers. And of course the main attraction, the waterfall is worth the 0.75 mile hike. You can also swim in the lagoon under the falls so bring your bathing suit.

Although the waterfall isn’t running it was still a very lovely place and I enjoyed talking with the people at the different locations about the islands history. I’d definitely wear comfortable shoes if you plan on walking around a lot. I wish I wasn’t so shy I would have asked way more questions. Great people and great vibes ✨💗 thank you for having me

We enjoyed the botanical garden. I feel in love with those trees! You can easily spend half a day here, if not longer. Don't forget to pack your comfortable walking shoes.

Parking was a bit rough on a Saturday, so come early. The garden is wonderful! Many unique plants and pathways to explore. The waterfall is incredible. A bit touristy so prepare to shell out a few bucks but swimming up to the waterfall is an experience. We didn't use the bag storage so you kinda have to use the honor system. Worth your time, about 2-4 hours

Awesome place to walk through. We took our time while headed to and from the falls. Lots of little side trails to check out.

The walk is fine. I recommend you bring a camera because of all the beautiful flora and rare but always a sight to see fauna. The waterfall was scary because of how deep the waterfall bottom was, but amazing photo opportunities for pictures.

Starting with the luau last night I had such an amazing experience. The learning aspect to the entire evening, the O’hana vibe, the kindness of the hosts and the guests. I kept telling my friends I was ambivalent about going to a luau but I can’t thank them enough for insisting on one and for finding this incredibly authentic and entertaining evening. The dances from different cultures, learning that different. Cultures use their hands to tell a story and others their hips. The drummers that accompanied the dancers and the fire dances were amazing. The MC was entertaining and sweet. Then being able to go back today and enjoy the botanical gardens and waterfall, simply amazing. Thank you so so much.
