This place is a must try! When I found this place online I knew I had to go. I made an appointment but ended up in that area a few days earlier. Caroline didn’t make me feel like a hassle when I asked to change appointments. She also didn’t begrudgingly take care of me. She accommodated me and made me feel very welcomed. I loved and appreciated the fact that she didn’t just DO…she explained each step along the way. She was training another young woman (can’t remember her name) but she was also extremely nice. I have been showing my friends and family my permanent bracket and they’re so jealous. Lol many times, you either love the service or love the product. Rarely both! This was that rare occasion for me. I loved both The Gem Studios service AND the product!

Summer was very instructive and incredibly kind!! The process was easy and her instructions were very clear. I enjoyed my conversation with Summer and her showing my friend and I how to make our rings!

I’ve made two pieces here at the Waikiki location on two different trips and I love them both! Making your own jewelry is a must and the team will give you as much or as little support as you need. They really want you to love your finished piece!

Booked a workshop with Olivia for two people and had a blast. The experience was way more hands on than expected. Who doesn’t love a piece with a story? The experience makes it that much more special. Olivia was super sweet and patient. Definitely recommend booking and making this a stop on your Hawaii trip.

Olivia made our first silversmithing experience so much fun! She slowed my husband and I creative freedom and we went a little extra and Olivia was super accommodating with our vision. In the end our pieces came out so beautiful! So happy with everything! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out.

It was just me and my daughter and we had so much fun. Brooke was our teacher, she was awesome, helpful and knowledgeable! Being able to be hands on and have a hand from beginning to end was super fun. We loved it. 10/10 recommend.

I had the most fantastic experience at the Gem Studio in Waikiki! I took a workshop and crafted a beautiful pendant, which I'm absolutely in love with. What made it even more special was the option to bring in my own cabochon to be set, and the result was nothing short of phenomenal. Julia, who guided us through the workshop, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and helpful. I can't recommend the Gem Studio enough - it's a must-do when you're in Waikiki. Whether you're looking for unique jewelry or a fun workshop experience, this place has it all. Don't miss out!

So much fun! We decided to make a ring and a necklace and it was so cool to see how they turned out. Benny was our instructor and she was awesome. She helped us through all of the steps and was very knowledgeable as she answered all of our questions. The studio was super fun and it was cool to see what other people made and we loved all the options we had for making the jewelry! Seriously such a fun memory and now we have a really cool thing to remember our trip by.

What a fantastic experience!! I thought this was a jewelry store. Imagine my surprise when they were teaching classes I've been wanting to take! So, as a birthday present to myself, I came and made a 3pc set of stacker rings AND a beautiful sterling silver soldered moonstone ring w/trim. I loved this class so much I brought my kids back today so they could have the same experience. I also learned how to make the inlay ring! CAROLINE, BROOKE AND SUMMER.... y'all rock! Gem Studio far and away exceeded expectations with their stone selection and different styles available. It was such a fun and interactive experience! The team member we got paired with, Brooke, did a fantastic job keeping the energy high and encouraging us every step of the way. You can tell that she takes pride in her work and that it’s not just a job for her. Altogether a wonderful experience! We can’t wait to make something new next time we’re here!

I had the most amazing experience here! The girls that work there, especially summer and ellie were the kindest, welcoming people that made making rings such a fun experience with my family. Summers hospitality and help was so amazing for my sister making her ring, and Ellie was especially patient and had some really cool ring ideas . If you want a fun experience with a date or family this is the best place on island !!!

This is such a neat idea for a girls night out, self care day, or any old day! I went with my aunts, cousin, and mom and they had a blast. Three of us made sterling silver rings, one made the ring inlay, and the other opted to buy one that was on display. FYI, ring inlay takes longer than you think. So plan accordingly! We booked at 6pm and left around 8:30 pm. Like making the inlay make sure you have time allotted for that! I think the time issue seemed to be due to low staffing. It was just our instructor Ashley who had help from Emily. Ashley was a great instructor that knew what she was doing and kept the experience fun! Found out she's a mom, so makes sense she was able to juggle two groups she was teaching, man the register, and keep an eye on EVERYTHING (including being security). Emily was so sweet too! Poor girl kept having walk in after walk in for the permeant jewelry. When she had a free hand she made sure to help Ashley. Overall, she kept a professional and fun demeanor. I think if there was more than one instructor for a shift it would balance out the responsibilities. We plan on coming back in the winter when my cousin graduates! Such a special way to mark an occasion. Please come to San Diego! I could definitely see this kind of thing becoming popular with college students in a mall like UTC. Also, adding special "gems" like sea glass or more shells to the Waikiki location would be fun. Goes with the vibe of the location! Also, lots of men came in with their wives. Cute tie clip or even cufflinks would be fun! Here's the price breakdown: - $5 per person booking fee - $95 base fee for sterling silver (ring) + $ of the gem you choose - $ any additional price your instructor will go over for you For two total of sterling silver rings it came out to around $265 including tip!
