Hands down, the best poke on the island! Super fresh and friendly owners. It was so good that we went twice during our visit. There is a variety of flavors and you cannot go wrong with either one. They use king salmon and fatty tuna for their poke bowls; you cannot find that anywhere else. It is such a steal for the price as well. I hope to visit again in the near future.

Really good poke bowls! There are plenty of options (king salmon, hamachi, ahi, and octopus), and the fish is really fresh from the same market.

Best poke on the island. Always fresh fish, with an abundant variety of flavors and the nicest most generous and overall best service on the island. Also one of the only places to get delicious hamachi. (And they have uni as a topping which is a must for only $7) Johnny, Crystal, and team do it right, and if you’re lucky you’ll get to see him wheel in the catch of the day and butcher it up right in front of your eyes for service. In Oahu’s China town behind the fish market, what a gem. Also fresh squeezed juices around to go with your awesome poke bowl. If you’re craving sushi, consider a sashimi platter from here instead, cause Johnny totally has an eye for picking the fattiest tuna. Toro all day baby!

Freshly caught poke! Wow the ahi just melts in your mouth! Worth every penny for this poke place in Chinatown. There's side street parking and a parking deck 1.50 per hour most days.

A bit hidden in the back of the Oahu Market, Morning Catch is a more trendy stop to the parent seafood market next door. They served a variety of poke bowls, which included typical Hawaiian options like shoyu, spicy shoyu, mayo, etc., but also Korean-inspired dishes with kimchi. I opted for a Salmon/Hamachi combo and was offered an option of sushi or white rice. I picked sushi rice, only later realizing it would cost more. The fish wasn’t dressed well (so I had to ask for more soy sauce), and it actually felt a bit dry and on the warm side when I began to eat it. Although it still tasted quite fresh, I was unimpressed considering all the other local poke options.

We ordered 1/3 pound of shoyu limu ahi and 1/3 pound of tobbiko hamachi. The fish was fresh and with the dressing super umami in the mouth. The service was good. Definitely a must visit poke stop!

Easily best poke on the island. The fish is freshly chopped from the shop right next door. Incredibly fresh and sashimi quality. Crystal and the family is super nice too. Highly recommend. Beats out every poke place you could go in Waikiki and is a short drive/bus ride away. 10/10!!! I got the Hawaiian salt tuna and the king salmon, the salmon in particular was stunning.

This place is good. Really good. My wife isn’t a big fan of poke and she said it was fantastic. This was our first time eating poke in Hawaii and im glad we came here. 5/5 stars. Fresh fish and very tasty. Great service too! Can’t go wrong eating here.

Poke spot was in local fish / meat market on edge of Chinatown area. Out of all the places we tried this was probably the freshest poke since it was in the market and you could see them cutting the fish fresh (is not pre-cut and sitting like other places). Small family owned gig you can tell so waited about 10 minutes for food but was worth it. Small table and chair on side of poke bar in market if you want to sit (not the best ambiance) or take it to go and head to one of local parks. Overall I'd recommend this place if you want fresh poke to go!

The poke shop next to a fish stall. Serving fresh morning catches and the j g them into poke bowls. A no frill market serving fresh fish without the ads. Slightly out of the way but if you have time to spare from the airport, you can make it there and back no problem!

Excellent fresh poke! Had the king salmon and octopus. The king salmon came marinated in a sesame sauce tossed with crunchy seaweed and pickled cucumber. The portions aren't huge though. More of a snack than a meal. Also, pricing was a bit funky and hard to understand. They added $2 onto our bill for...maybe catch of the day prices? Otherwise worth it. Takeout only but then go thru the market and sit outside at the stone tables in the square for an authentic experience.

Very fresh poke. One of the best I’ve had on island. Not precut. Made to order and fish cut fresh. Inside fish market so seating is limited. Highly recommend if you want freshly made poke.

Whilst visiting Hawaii for the first time, we were treated to this place by our hosts and all I can say is — the Poke here has ruined Poke for me everywhere else! Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, irresistible flavor, and a variety of choices make this place hard to beat. Service was fast and friendly to boot! This is a family-run business and you can really feel the dedication in play by the entire crew. It’s located in a fish market so it felt nice to get that cultural ambiance whilst enjoying my meal. Sometimes, they will even wheel in the “morning catch” right before your eyes… talk about fresh fish!! I am addicted to the Hawaiian Salt Ahi Tuna and it has quickly become my go-to every time we visit. Really though, you can’t go wrong with any of the dishes here. Please stop by on your next trip to Oahu and support local business!!

Some of the best poke I’ve had. Morning catch was great and they have a large selection of items to make your bowl. 4/5 only for the fact that it’s in a fish market and hard to find parking, otherwise it’s worth finding the parking for.

Best poke I've ever had. This place alone is worth a trip to O'ahu. Hamachi is the best, which says a lot since I don't normally get it. Shoyu limu is also super good.
