Beach

👍👍 There used to be a Google listing for Banzai Pipeline but it has disappeared. Maybe it is because they want to keep this place a secret from the tourists. This is one of the most beautiful tranquil beaches in the world. I am not exaggerating. I can understand why they would want to keep it from... People often mention waves,

There used to be a Google listing for Banzai Pipeline but it has disappeared. Maybe it is because they want to keep this place a secret from the tourists. This is one of the most beautiful tranquil beaches in the world. I am not exaggerating. I can understand why they would want to keep it from being overrun by tourists. Our best day in Hawaii was spent on this beach away from the crowds in Waikiki. When we were there it was almost empty and we had a large stretch of the beach to ourselves. I hope that I can come back here some day.

World-class (and famous) surf; Pipeline is one of the very few places in the world naturally akin to allowing waves to form into "barrels" without simultaneously closing-out (depending on swell direction). Wintertime brings huge crowds and professional surfers from all over the world. It gets very busy, very crowded, very quickly. Summertime is the exact opposite due to the Pacific Ocean swells shifting to the South Shore of Oahu. Scuba and snorkeling is highly recommended during this time on Oahu's north shore. You won't be disappointed.

We were lucky to spent some time here, not the usual massive waves to be seen, however still worth the effort. Beach was fairly quiet compared to other times we've been here , however it still is one of those places on the bucket list. Highly recommended.

Amazing. Just go. Now. Yes, right now. Please don't bring little kids and let them play in the water here. There are so many wonderful beaches for kids to play in water on Oahu. This is not one of them. It is extremely dangerous.

Great beach. Good shaded areas if you gotta escape the sun, lots of space to lay out, enjoy some beach time, and even watch some world class surfers take to the waves. Winter waves are just amazing to see, especially during surfing competitions. Please be respectful of the area though. Enjoy your time here and leave no trace.

Watch for stray nails... My son took one straight in the foot. A bit dirty. Definitely better beaches in Hawaii.
