I had the wonderful pleasure of staying here after serving the community after the wildfire. This secluded retreat is spiritually sacred, and enriching to the mind, spirit, and body. There is no better place for to quiet your mind. It is so important to support a local businesses after the wildfires, and this is the perfect way be respectful about visiting Maui. There is a gorgeous waterfall and pool about 10 minutes walking distance from the retreat, along with an ocean hike. The pictures do absolutely no justice.

My girlfriend and I went in February and stayed for 5 days. It was spectacular waking up every morning to the beautiful ocean views and was the perfect location for a home-base as we explored the North Shore. It's a very peaceful place. It also comes with its own mostly private beach and waterfall with pools overlooking the ocean. The beach and falls are on the bordering parkland, but access is limited since its surrounded by private property, so might as well be private. A word of warning, the hike down to the ocean and then up to the bottom of the falls is definitely advanced, but well worth it. it was one of the most scenic hikes wee took while on Maui. We were so busy and didn't really take advantage of the yoga, but the staff and owners were wonderful.

Spiritual, adventurous and re-energizing... We had an incredible experience at this amazing retreat. William ensured we find the location and greet us at the entrance with an umbrella followed by warm welcome by Kutira. William was super nice to provide a quick tour of the property and to do things in at the location which helped us plan our stay. We enjoyed beautiful views from dawn through dusk into fantastic star gazing. During the day we enjoyed and unique adventurous direct access private trails to the water pools and an amazing ocean loop right from the property. Both indoor and outdoor surroundings are meticulously planned and maintained to provide unique experience right in the lap of nature. Staying here also saved us time to explore Road to Hana. We wish we could enjoy the lotus pool and yoga pool. We would look forward to visit again, as there is much more to enjoy at this place.

Do not be afraid to come to Maui if you are headed HERE to the North end of the East Island. I arrived on Friday 8/11/23, just days after the fires erupted. There were already many relief workers on my plane, but the airport was completely normal. Since arriving I've been immersed in intense emotions and intense beauty. The area surrounding this lush paradise retreat is physically unaffected by the fires , but the people all carry the heavy weight of the tragedy. As it was explained to me, a secondary tragedy would be to kill all tourism to unaffected areas like this and others in unaffected areas. If you are planning to visit Maui later this year, I hope you will very carefully consider this before cancelling . DO NOT BE AFRAID.

My husband and I stayed in the Bamboo Temple at Maui Eco Retreat to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in Maui, and it was one of the most unique, romantic, magical places we have ever stayed. Quiet and off the beaten path, it is situated right off the Road to Hana in the rainforest on the side of the volcano, and from the Bamboo Temple, we saw so many rainbows and whales in the ocean as well as hiked down to the ocean and to the waterfalls right from our porch. There are free range chickens everywhere and we had their amazing eggs. The owners are friendly and accommodating, but gave us our privacy. We watched the sunrise every morning from our bed and the moonrise every evening. We made breakfast and mimosas every day, and spent more time “at home” here than any other trip we have ever taken. Pricewise, it is very competitive within Maui and well worth the money - every dime. I highly recommend it if you love nature and are not a pricey resort person. The outdoor shower was my favorite. Taking a hot shower outside surrounded by bamboo and ocean breezes was amazing. It is homey, comfortable and super relaxing, and I would stay there again without hesitation

Wow! What an extraordinary treat to have stayed at the Maui Eco Resort with Kutira and Raphael. The spot is welcoming and wild, a beautiful perch above the gorgeous sea with hiking trails and waterfalls to explore. The interior is laden with treasures from around the world that makes returning each day a relaxing and wondrous retreat. Even more impressive is the work that they are doing around ecology and being the change you want to see in the world. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Highly recommended :)

I was fortunate to finally stay at Maui Eco Retreat during a recent trip. Kutira is a gracious hostess, her staff are wonderful and welcoming, the ocean trail and waterfall are breathtaking; a window into an alternate time and place where healing energy can be felt in the breeze off the ocean, the sound of the waves, feeling the grass underfoot... truly a magical place! I also feel fortunate to have experienced Raphael's musical genius during the Sunday jam at the Temple of Peace. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to heal and recover from the stressors of the world.

An incredible paradise. The Maui Eco Retreat is far enough from the main towns to feel secluded while still being close enough to get anywhere on the island fairly quickly. The views and rainforest around the well maintained property are breathtaking. The waterfall pool was one of our favorite spots.

The Maui Eco Retreat is a little paradise within paradise. If you don't want to stay in a luxury hotel or in an apartment in a complex, you will find a beautiful room with your own bathroom or even an entire house here. The garden is huge and indescribably beautiful. The waterfall is actually part of the Eco Retreat and you can swim under the waterfall all by yourself. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. In the well-equipped kitchen you can meet other nice guests and prepare your own breakfast or main meal. William, the host, takes care of everything and fulfills every wish. If you like yoga, this is the right place, but we “non-yogis” also felt very comfortable. The access is an undeveloped small road, which is challenging but can be used by any car. We were on the retreat for 10 days and would go back in a heartbeat.
