I’m not Irish but Murphys is dope and has the best Shepherds Pie I’ve ever had. Murphy’s provides a comfortable environment to enjoy their excellent food, and when you are done, walk over to the tavern and drink some brews. Just awesome.

Great place to get good food and great service. We went for lunch on a weekday and got there right when they opened at 11:00. Thank goodness we did because they filled up quick. It’s a testament to the quality of food and service here. I had the Irish burger and that blue cheese is gold! Additionally, the fries were some of the best I’ve had. A perfect amount of crisp. Whoever made those is the Picasso of fry making. So good!

This pub and grill is amazing. Everything that I expected in an Irish pub! The serve was awesome and the food, even better.

Murphy’s is one of my favorite places. I usually get the Shepherds pie but today I went the the special which was Beef Stew. Great choice! It had mashed potatoes covered with beef, carrots and potatoes in a rich gravy. My wife had the Jalapeño Chicken sandwich which had a great flavor and was not too spicy. It was one o’clock so the lunch rush had ended and the service was great.

Atmosphere is calm and smooth with background music 🎶 What I love is the designs of the place. Foods are awesome! This place is actually where my In-laws got married. They invited us for their anniversary. Definitely will come back and will recommend to everyone 😊

Murphy's is the real deal. I love Irish pubs and this one hit all the marks. The food was delicious. The shepards pie is the best I've ever had. My wife had the mahi-mahi tacos and was over the moon. The staff is friendly and ready to answer questions with confidence.

Great bar area with bartenders that really know what they are doing. The Guinness was absolutely delicious. Cool Irish atmosphere with a bunch of TV's. I do wish they had a vegan entree option though. As of right now I think the only vegan food option is fries.

Excellent!! The service was outstanding and the food simply delicious. It’s a beautiful and a well maintained place. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners of the restaurant who were the kindest and the sweetest couple. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We had food from the light menu of mainly tapas and pupil's. I also had the fish and chips. Food was excellent. Host was friendly, attentive and not overbearing. Always there if we needed a drink refreshed but not hovering. Definately recommend for quiet upscale dining and atmosphere with very good reasonable prices.

This place is always busy. Despite that, the food & service are always great. I haven't had a bad dish here. It's a favorite among my family & friends. Last time, I had the bread pudding for dessert & it is TO DIE FOR! Stop reading reviews & just go already. There's a parking lot across the street, Chinatown municipal parking & parking at Mark's Garage.

We love dining here. The food is delicious and there are always specials to their regular dishes. The restaurant is very clean and quite classy. The staff are all friendly and efficient. If you go there on Fridays, you may be lucky to have a piece of the owner's baked desserts (pies/cakes), which are heavenly.

Good food. Quick efficient service. Tidy, welcoming. Had Celtic steak which was fine for A'merican grown steak. Prices very affordable. Would of gone back but ran out of holiday time. Fish n chips sounded amazing!

Surprisingly good value! Heard about this place a lot, never went. Food selection wasn't super expansive, but got a dip sandwich, and it was great! It was better than I expected for the price, the place was clean, and it wasn't super dated even knowing this place has been a staple of downtown for a long time. The desserts were also awesome and it was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend, and you should go with a good, small group of friends!

Friendly staff, excellent service, and a comfy old town atmosphere. Majority of bar patrons appear to be repeat customers, and for good reason; it's genuinely feels a bit like an Irish bar, but with some interesting menu twists. Well worth a visit

I honestly wasn’t impressed by this place. My husband raves about their Shepards pie. I don’t eat red meat so I got the open faced turkey sandwich and it was just SO dry. I feel like the veggies come frozen and they just thaw them out. The potatoes were okay but nothing really memorable about them, the gravy saved them a little bit. The stars are really just for the uniqueness of a place like this in Hawaii. The inside is very outdated, not exactly “clean.” It wasn’t very busy the Friday night I went which was t really surprising once I tasted the food. Wouldn’t go again but I hope their other items are better than what I had.

Go before or after lunch rush hour. It’s packed during lunch. Food is excellent. Great ambiance. Amazing service by Pepe! Had burrata, wings, lamb, fish and chips, salad, all very delicious. The mixed berry pie is also to die for!

Went there on a night that was painfully short-staffed, so I'm hoping our experience was atypical. It took a long time to take our order, then they forgot our appetizer and got one of our two entrees wrong. The corrected dish was obviously a rush cook, because the garlic on the pork chop was completely burnt and ruined what was probably a good plate of food. Still, the staff was friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves despite the rush, which made the atmosphere nice. Will try again on another night and I hope to be able to revise this review upward.

Murphy's is one of the few really classic restaurants left that hasn't been displaced by the new super train building. You can still get a really nice meal there for $30 or less. However I must say that in the past few years I guess over the pandemic when we didn't go out in my opinion the quality or the quantity went down. One of my favorite appetizers was what they call the Irish nachos which is basically potato skins with corned beef and cheddar cheese and I remember having those in a regular basis and they were larger and the cheese was more The Corned Beef was more so it's not as good a bargain as it was. But the charm is still there also shepherd's pie one of my favorites and in my opinion the amount of actual lamb was less in the shepherd's pie it looked the same it looked the same size but it was more gravy then meat. The other thing and I'm sorry to say this they are offering some nice fish and chips they offer a nice calamari steak but these are frozen and then they cook them so right now I don't know where you can go to get really fresh well-made fish and chips. Cuz I was very disappointed with the fish and chips we got. But you know the cost is what it is. Fridays is Pi Day. If you want a really delicious piece of pie you go on a Friday but it's not a cheap piece of pie and you could probably in some places buy a whole pie for what it cost for a piece but it's really good. That's just the nature of restaurants these days

It's assuring to know that in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean one can always depend on Murphy's to provide comfort food that warms the soul. The staff are consistently friendly, happy hour lively and the atmosphere homey. Don't forget to leave room for dessert and try out their homemade pies, too!

A great place for lunch or after work drinks & food! Murphy's is a good looking Irish style pub and restaurant that's comfortable for meeting friends & family. We've had their Burgers, Shepard's Pie, & Smoked Brisket Tacos, all very good. Also, I suggest trying their Fried Spicy Chicken Wings... so good!

Good wings. Drinks are solid too. Bartender knows how to manage a lineup without neglecting anyone. Skilled for how busy it gets there. Def recommend

We have eaten here multiple times and have never had a bad meal. Some better than others but none bad. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated. It is clean and well kept. The menu has different specials that are also very good. There is a separate bar area if you prefer that. Prices are reasonable. Portions are very fair. Paid parking right across the street or metered street parking.

This is an amazing place with a really great atmosphere. The bartender has a fun, outgoing personality and is quick to serve. The environment is very relaxed and enjoyable. We were on vacation and looking for a good shuffleboard table to play and enjoy time with friends. This was the place. There is a ton of history and memorabilia on the walls. They have some great stories from their relationship with the military. This place kind of reminded me of "Cheers", just a great place to spend an evening. We did not dine because we were to late and had eaten already but it smelled fantastic. This is a Monday - Friday place that closes about 10pm. Well worth the visit! Highly recommend

Dining room was closed until 4pm and limited menu 'til 5pm but tall appetizers and most sandwiches are available. Others in my party had fish and chips and a burger with blue cheese which they thoroughly enjoyed. My grilled crab & shrimp on sourdough toast was amazing! Wait staff very friendly and not crowd at 4pm for an early dinner to beat rush hour traffic in Honolulu.

It's Murphy's. Always great, old fashioned, professional service. Bartender remembers what his regulars drink and always attentive and courteous. You rarely find their kind of attention nowadays. I love sitting at the bar, the woody feel and atmosphere of a real nostalgic bar. Oh, and the food rocks! I never know what to eat cause I want half the menu. Great job as always guys! And I love you always helping the community Don! 🤙✌🤙
