Bartenders are personable and super friendly. I absolutely enjoyed myself. First time in Waikiki and I am glad I came across this special establishment. Everyone should come here and have this experience. The music is great she diverse. The crowd is super random. I did not try the food. Next time for sure.

Great environment and friendly staff, very close to the beach with a surf shak kinda vibe. This place made me feel like I was at my local bar back home. The drinks were very tasty and reasonably priced, probably the best Mai Tai I've ever had. They even had live music Saturday night. This was my go to spot after I found it and will be my hang out whenever I'm visiting Waikiki.

Many reasons why this place is 5 stars and I'll name a couple. 1st off there is parking across the street. They have free freshly popped popcorn out of a machine. They place is decorated with good taste. The bartender was super friendly. Nice selection of beers on draft as well as bottled beers. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back MANY times! If you like my review, please follow me :)

Friendly worker. Nice location. Good music. This bar should be at a beach :) I getting beach vibes. Pizza was pretty large for $23 and the “Blue Hawaii” for $9 was okay.

Great dive, live music, cheap drinks. Free smells of frozen pizza while sitting on a nice patio. What more is there to ask for of a dive

Do you like tiki? Do you want a break from the Waikiki pretension? Arnold's is the spot. She's authentic, she's a dive, and she's lovely.

Had a really good experience here. A nice little hidden gem tucked away in plain sight. (I actually expected this bar to be ON the beach from the name, but it's just about a block away from Fort DeRussey beach). Service was great - the bartender was friendly, funny, and VERY efficient to have the whole bar/floor to herself! The aesthetic of the restaurant is a cool beachy vibe. They also had a popcorn machine w/ popcorn you could go over, grab, and snack on! A really nice and unique added touch.

Based on Google reviews we decided to check this place out. I liked the ambience, design, live music. Cozy little place. Service was okey. Drinks were watered down and didn’t taste good, but I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it because wanted to enjoy the music and the night out. When I saw how the bartender was “washing” the glasses I felt sick to my stomach. I was observing her and I have questions about hygiene of the place. She has two sinks , one with some brushes and another for rinsing and the mat for drying. The sink with the brushes had no soap in it. A few batches of glasses she was just rinsing without even changing the water. After the glasses dried on the mat a bit she moved them to the clean pile further away and was serving drinks in those not even properly cleaned glasses. Since I was carefully watching I was disappointed that hygiene was not taken seriously. I hope that was just one of the days and it’s not the way you wash your classes on a daily basis.

Rad no frills watering hole. Came in asking for a Ranch Water and was almost laughed outta there by the local bartenders who were enjoying their night off. while we got razzed a bit the people were super nice and one bartender gave us the best advice for exploring the rest of the island. So glad we popped in for a couple drinks.

I tried this place with a couple of friends from all the good reviews. Well I’m so sorry but I was beyond disappointed. This bar is supposed to be inclusive, but at the end of the day, the bar tenders will make you feel like you worth nothing. They will of course serve you drinks but it’s beyond lack luster. Drinks are beyond mediocre here and the staff will make you feel that you are trash. A friend of mine went to the restroom and after 5 minutes, they kicked him out, not because he was drunk but because he didn’t t order a proper drink. I don’t doubt that they may serve a good drinks, but is it really worth it when you are treated like trash before you get you drink? I think not. So please support other local lgbtq bar that care about your values than this one. Please please reconsider this bar if you do go. Love all around.

This might be the greatest bar on earth. LGBTQ friendly and laid back. Close to Waikiki but not touristy AT ALL. Wish I could give it 10 stars.

Nice hole in the wall dive. This was my first time. It's on the outskirts of Waikiki and you may pass by without knowing it's there. It's right next to Eggs and Things. Went early evening on a Friday and it was pleasant as it was not overly crowded. Will be on my list of places to drink when in Waikiki.

Small Tiki bar with live music. Nice place to stop for a quick drink. One of the few dive bars left. Open air with friendly staff.

On our last day in Waikiki, my wife and decided to try this little bar out. Although it is small, it has a lot of character. We enjoyed a draft beer and a margarita only a few hours before we flew back to the mainland! :-)

10/10 would not recommend this great bar. If you’re looking for good service, you should probably go anywhere else but here! If you want a drink you’re better off walking out to the ocean to drink the water.

Only food being served is pizza and Dylan the waiter cooks them. He got busy and our pizza was more like a hockey puck. In good company so we enjoyed ourselves anyways.

We enjoyed this bar so much! They can get packed because of COVID regulations and the fact that it’s small but it’s worth it. They are open until 12mn. Special mention to our server Dylan! We will be seeing you soon! Enjoy your time with family! /Mike & Cece

Not on the beach, but a great small spot right off the main Waikiki drag. Short walk from Moana Surfrider and worth the visit. Cheapest Jameson I have come across ($7) plus the vibe and music are worth making a stop here.

Barely noticed as walking by. Super glad I stopped. Great atmosphere. Friendly bartender. Seems to be the place for several locals. No food now, limited selection of draft beer. but cocktails look great.

  • 5/5 James D. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome cool little bar that tends to bring locals and tourists together. It opens around noon and they have excellent Mai tai's, as well as ask for a 151 floater (if ya know you know).

First time in Hawaii, and after many bars I would say this one has the best vibe in Waikiki Area. Not as pretentious as other hotel bars or restaurants in the area that are unwelcoming. Arnold's is different... Drinks are good, prices are great, and the place is Hawaiian themed at its best. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. My girlfriend and I had a great time. Totally recommended to have drinks with friends or your couple. Thank you guys !

I'm hesitant to let the secret out about how awesome this tiny little place is, but yeah, we'll be going to Arnold's on EVERY subsequent visit to Oahu in the future. The drinks are out of this world delicious and super reasonably priced. By comparison, we each had a Mai Tai the day before at the famous Mai Tai Sheraton (at $21 each), but the Mai Tai at Arnold's was just as good, if not better, and it was only $10! The food offerings here are pretty much nonexistent, so don't expect much with that. But yeah, the atmosphere, friendly vibes, and flawless drinks are what makes this tiny little place a hidden gem in Waikiki. We LOVE it!

Not classic tiki, but quite nice. Drinks are better than most in the local area. It's a small place, no air-conditioning and there is a small patio area. It has enough tiki to meet the criteria. Beer and cocktails, with a few tiki drinks. I like the vibe and the atmosphere. I bought a tank top...so cute. Prices are some of the best around, for everything.

  • 5/5 Fran K. 5 months ago on Google

A friend recommended this place and it couldn't' be any better than it is. Super charming and comfy. Fantastic prices and great selection. Top notch service. There was a musician playing on the first night I stopped-in and he was phenomenal. Met some locals and had a great time chatting with them and learning more about the island. 10/10 - highly recommend. Just don't tell anyone else, because I want to keep it as a hidden gem. :-)

Walked to this cute little bar from our hotel. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The entertainment (a young man singing and playing guitar) was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. I will definitely be back. Free popcorn. And free ice water.

#1. Bring your ID! They will ask. It's a small ask & it's the law. They are protecting themselves, not ruining your night or insulting you. #2. Enjoy the absolute majesty that is Arnold's! #3 Repeat as needed. I have been here all different times of the day & night & every bartender has been friendly, kind & attentive. Within a few visits, they knew my name & what i drink. They do get packed at times & you might have to wait your turn. The crowd is a mix of locals & tourists, making for plenty of opportunities for interesting conversations. This is a great place to enjoy an easygoing vibe while getting your drink on. It's my spot! ❤️🤙🍻

Cool little hole in the wall dive bar. Weird bathrooms and some decor. Good drinks and had live music. Not much in the way of space or a bar to sit at. Staff was very friendly. Good for a quick stop for a drink or place to end the night.

Great atmosphere and live music. A nice cozy spot for both locals and travelers. I was travelling alone and met a lot of friendly people here and still keep in touch with a few of them! Washrooms are upstairs and a little grungy but that's it. Definitely a bay you should check out if you're in the area.

(Translated by Google) At the time of the visit, there was an American LIVE acoustic rock live in the 70's. I can't communicate in Japanese, but it's quite simple with simple English and pointing order. I recommend it because it is reasonable and fun atmosphere.
