Had a fabulous sunset dinner here with a wonderful review. It's unfortunate some of the other reviews I read but I thought our meal was excellent and the service and attention we received was awesome. We had the calamari appetizer, clam chowder, stuffed shrimp, and seafood scampi pasta and it was all quite good. I recommend for some people to at least give the place a chance and to see for yourself if you like the food/service.

I loved it! Great view, prices, food, friendly staff. Great place to go later in the evening because it’s opened late comparing to other restaurants nearby (kitchen closing around 10pm) We had a fried zucchini and sashimi for appetizers, both were great. For main course we had a NY steak and garlic chicken. Everything was tasty and very reasonably priced (total around $68 for four different meals)I will be back

This restaurant has a large bar area and a separate dining area. We arrived at 6:15pm on a Monday without reservations and were seated within 5 minutes. The menu selection is very good but the bar/appetizer menu is larger. There more people in the bar than the restaurant. We were told to pick a table and we sat in the bar area ( not knowing there was a difference). The service was good and the food was great! The Sea Bass was amazing but a little pricey at $63.00. The location is slightly hidden (not on Ala Moana) but there are signs. Worth checking out!

What an amazing experience! Fantastic food, great service and beautiful scenery off the harbor. Props to Jamie for keeping the drinks coming and giving great recommendations to try the crab stuffed shrimp. Highly recommend this restaurant. Make reservations.

Delectable seafood and delightful sunsets! Along the waterfront in Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii, adjacent to a picturesque marina, lies the Chart House of Waikiki. Here, you can get wonderful seafood, or other tasty dishes. I definitely recommend the macadamia nut encrusted mahi-mahi which is one of the best seafood dishes I have ever enjoyed! I also recommend the barbecue ribs which are “falling-off-the-bone”tender and delicious. The restaurant is quite popular, and reservations are strongly recommended. Table seating is comfortable, and service is quite good. They always screen for COVID 19 vaccination status as do other Hawaiian eating establishments. Try to request a table where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset over the marina. Bring your camera. Ask for waiters Joey or Blaine who will give you top notch service. Don’t forget a delicious beverage and or dessert. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is good, but not by any means 5 star. (It's a goof 3.5 star) It was uncomfortably warm and one waiter was "sweating " profusely. The appetizer garlic chicken was tasty, as so the crab cake (not lump crab). The entree whole lobster did not come out with drawn butter or clarified butter. There was not a finger bowl present-the lobster was partially cracked. The lava cake was top much for two people. Great! A loaded baked potato only have bacon bits and sour cream. Cheese is extra and anything else you might add to load the potato.

Late night happy hour is amazing. Great service at the bar. Attentive and informative bartenders. Excellent food. Fried fish special recommended! Tofu poke was great. $5 beers n shots on special when we went in. Owned by surfer legend.

Kitchen opens until 11pm every night. Amazing late night happy hour from 9pm to 11pm. New York steak is amazing here. Always cooked to perfection. Delicious with Mac salad and white/brown rice. The pork chop with gravy is also excellent. The calamari here is also one of my favorites on the island. Live music during late night happy hour also!

Excellent food, drinks and great service! The restaurant can get a little loud, but we were seated on the outside balcony section with a view of the water where the noise level is just right. Haven't been to Chart House since before COVID and they're better than ever! This was our wedding anniversary dinner and I couldn't have chosen a better place to spend the occasion.

Where do I start? Location is great and view is great. But food is mediocre at best. This place relies on the tourist trade and has no incentive for innovation. We ordered New York Strip and Crab-Stuffed tuna. Steak was gristly and tough to eat. Ahi was pretty good but nothing amazing. No innovation in presentation. Waiter was kinda going through the motions. Wish I could say better.....but needs new ownership. Just nothing thing interesting or exciting. This photo of my friend kinda says it all. He ate less than 1/2 of his meal

The place is ok for sunset, you still have all the boats in front of you. Food is horrible though, good quality fish, but not worth the price, plus the mix with all spices and mayo just ruins it. We also ordered chicken wings and had to return them, purely tasting like butter and bread, do not recommend. Ribs came in replacement and were at least decent, still lacking tenderness and flavour. This place is good for DRINKS, not more than that.

Great food great atmosphere and the music is great. We had a local guy Kamaka Camarillo please don't kill me if I didn't spell it right. But he is great he has a blues extra soft r&b soul sound. The restaurant has great food the prices are steep compared to the taste but still very good your paying for the food and atmosphere which is worth it. Get you some or be sorry take your pick.

Staff was friendly. Food was served hot. Drinks were mostly mixers, very little alcohol for the price of said drink. The escargot was very good. The seafood scampi was very different from any I have had in the past. The view was lovely. Overall good experience.

Great happy hour specials on drinks and food. Only downside was there was no AC! We took advantage of the price fixe 3 course dinner for $54 each. It was fabulous! We got fried calamari, Cesar salad, steak, seafood pasta, cheesecake and creme brûlée. Everything was top notch!

Came here for happy hour when they opened at 3:30 and had a lovely table overlooking the ocean. For the prices I was really surprised with how large the portions were and the food was really delicious for two people. It was just $20 each for us to have a Steak, crab, stuffed mushrooms and fried rice. We started off of the crab stuffed mushrooms, and they were served on a bed of mashed potatoes. The stuffing was really delicious but the mushrooms themselves seemed like they were just steamed, and they didn’t have any crisp or baked aspect to it, which made them a little rubbery. On the better potatoes with a hollandaise sauce these were definitely feeling and pretty tasty. Just a little improvement to bring out the flavor of the mushrooms would’ve been much appreciated. Next was the New York steak, which was only $20 on happy hour and was cooked perfectly, charred on the outside and super flavorful and tender. I think this is probably the best deal you can get on a Steak in the area!! Finally, we got the fried rice, which was a very large portion for only about eight dollars and had an egg on top. The server and asked us if we were OK with having the egg over easy, which we replied, yes, but the egg definitely came out over cooked where it was unpleasant to eat. The bits of salty char sui were tasty and the portion was huge but overall this dish lacked salt and the runny egg would have probably added a lot had it been done correctly. For the price it was definitely a great value and we were full after these three dishes. I definitely recommend checking out this happy hour!

I came because of the reviews, but did not experience the four and a half stars t other guest spoke of. We had 2 reservations there were 4 in each party. Somewhere the waiter assumed we were sitting together and prepared a table for a party of 8. When asked why this choice was made there was no answer. But when asked would we get charged the 20% up charge for a party over 6 the answer was yes. It went down hill after that. After much discussion we were place in a smaller area at separate tables as the reservations had been reserved. We arrived at 737p and was finally seated at 808p, after the switching of tables it's now around 825p. The waiter, I believe was Steve, began the process of taking drink orders. Since it was getting late and we had already looked over the menu we went ahead and placed our appetizer and main meal order. For the next 30min we were left to observe how neglected we were. We also had time to observe other tables being served, which had arrived after us, how sticky the tables were where we were seated and the lack of attention we received. Finally our appetizers, soup and salads began to arrive, but before we could enjoy, the main meals quickly followed. When I think of fine dining capped with 4-1/2 stars I expected linen, wine glasses, friendly atmosphere, a clean dining area, polite and willing to serve waiter/waitresses and what the Chart House is famous for. I did not get this experience. We were celebrating two Birthdays in our party. Needless to say we could have went anywhere, we chose your establishment. The meal itself did measure up. It was tasty, served hot and well seasoned. For some in the party it was a 1st time experience. Sad to say they would probably choose another restaurant in the future.

Great atmosphere. Shared the seafood tower and for the price point, was disappointed there were only two crab legs on the skipper size. Quality of everything was great but felt the portions could have been better. Waiter told us the skipper was for 2-3 people and captain size was for 6 people.

We ate at the chart house twice while we were in Hawaii. We had the sea bass, the New York steak, garlic shrimp pasta, and the Joey's garlic steak(Joey's garlic steak wasn't very good) the first night. The second night we had braised short ribs, New York Steak, crab stuffed shrimp, ahi poke nachos and the 5 shrimp. For dessert we had cheesecake and creme brulee, which was really good as well.We had a great time and the view was beautiful.

We had the house salad, wagyu beef sliders and the fried rice and they were all delicious. The food was hot and well cooked. I gave 4 stars because one meal came out and we had nearly finished it before the second one came. Ask for your ranch on the side. Our salad was drenched with ranch. I recommend visiting during their happy hour.

The server Andres was exceptional and very attentive, Carlos was , also. The Food was perfect and the mango dressing on the Arugula salad was out of this world. Great find...... and a View of the harbor!

Dinner was delicious, albeit somewhat expensive for the quality of the meats and accompaniments. I had prime rib and my wife had the lamb chops (pictured). Both were very good, but my prime rib was pretty standard fare. The standout was the Ube Cheesecake (pictured). I am not a fan of cheesecake, but this dessert was delicious, light, and a great ending to the meal. I recommend this to everyone who goes to Chart House! The wait staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Happy Thanksgiving dinner. Buffet style is good and easy for us to try everything. The green jello is my best for tonight. Turkey 🦃 tasted great. We also order MahiMahi dish is great too It’s a great place for big party or any gathering event 👍

It was Christmas Day and it was very busy. Good service and the food was excellent. I had french onion soup, shared fried zucchini, and a Queen cut of Prime rib. Didn't get a picture of the Prime rib. Must've been really hungry.

Lobster was over cooked, and salty, too small. Oyster Rockefeller, no taste, each bite had pieces of shell. Stuffed crab mushrooms were were ok. Grilled shrimp fantastic but the butter came out cold. The clam chowder soup was too salty. The Chilean seabass was ok. The candy walnut arugula salad was bitter and plain. The food was way over priced for the food quality. The service at our table, excellent. Filled up on bread and water. At least the bread was warm, and good butter. I drank tons of water. Asked for harbor view in advance, yet they sat my party in a corner booth.

My family spent our last night in Waikiki at the Chart House. The food, service and entertainment was the best way to end our vacation. A place locals and visitors alike come to enjoy good food and good company. The entertainment featured a local hula dancer and live music. The owner is a surf legend and the vibe is cool and casual. Big love and thanks to the owners and their staff for a fun evening.

Celebrated our friend birthday last night. Appitizer were great ( calamari, stuffed mushroom and spicy poke ) and they were actually better than my main dish. I ordered medium rare roasted prime rib and my husband got full rack of ribs. My prime rib was over cooked, dry and a little too salty for my taste and the au jus that came with it was thick and room temp unlike other restaurants that they're usually serve warm and thin gravy. There's better prime rib else where that better and worth your money than here. So my main dish was the big let down and all 3 stars goes to appetizers and service only.

Ate here for dinner with my husband. Honestly the appetizers were the best part. Quite spendy for what you get. I would stick to coming around happy hour times. I dropped the rating a star because the alcoholic beverages consisted of very little alcohol. Service was decent. I probably would not recommend eating here unless it is for happy hour of which they have two different times for.

Service was attentive and the food was great. I had the ribs and it was fall off the bone delicious. My wife had the scallop & shrimp scampi which was also delicious. The ono pupu sampler was great.

We gave this a shot blindly and were pleasantly surprised. A little more expensive than the average but then the food was also more than above average and there was no wait. Julie was very nice and attentive. The live music was spot on and the view perfect. We would go back.
