The Sunday and Monday happy hour is intense. People who lined up for a table at 4:15 didn’t get in. There are two lines, left is table, right is bar. Know this trick!!! Most things on the menu is 50% off which is amazing and the food comes out real quick. Was it good? Yes, was it the best? Probably not. Good savings though.

As sushi goes, we got a RAW DEAL. The 2 stars are for the back of the house. Great food. The front of the house, hostess, bartender, wait staff and manager need a refresher in hospitality. 0 stars for service. Requested to sit outside so my vet husband could watch the Vietnam Veterans Memorial parade. Was told by the hostess they only had 1 table and needed to keep it open. Ordered our drinks. By far the stingiest pours on the block. Ordered food but I was completely done with my meal by the time my husband’s food arrived. Although we watched several tables who arrived after us receive their meals. Had to ask to speak to the manager as the server didn’t deem this necessary. Upon the manager finally delivering my husband’s meal, we shared our lackluster experience and were told my husband’s food was given to another table and we weren’t allowed outside because there was a 50/50 chance of rain. If only they could get their lies straight we could have stomached the half hearted apology as we watched 2 more parties get seated…outside.

Sansei never disappoints and we’ve always enjoyed dining here since they opened on Oahu. The sushi is consistently awesome and entrees are delicious. It’s best to come with family and/or friends so you can share a bunch of different dishes. Excellent happy hour as well if you can make it. 🤙🏼

Eh just another “fine dining” sushi establishment. Really wanted to try something different and got it. Ordered the Panko crusted ahi sashimi. It was just a awkward dish, the fried outside just didn’t agree with me as it completely masks to buttery texture of the fish. The sauce just didn’t pair well in my opinion. Unfortunately the unfriendliness of most of the staff there didn’t help, although our waiter was great and helpful with the order. No greeting or goodbye, seems like people working there were asleep.

Had an amazing anniversary dinner at Sansei while visiting Oahu. We tried the crab ramen, toro, octopus, butterfish and panna cotta. Everything was delicious and came out at a good pace so we could enjoy each item.

We happened upon Sansei because my wife wanted sushi and poke while we were on our first trip in Hawai'i. They were one of the handful of places that had re-opened, so we made our way down. Luckily, we called ahead because they were booked solid for the first few hours they were open. We arrived to a line at opening, but the manager was there and got everyone right in after a quick temperature check. We sat at the bar and things just got AMAZING from there! The bartender Daryll was taking care of us, and he was so much fun! A great attitude, lots of suggestions and would do ANYTHING to make us happy. We had a great time eating and talking to him through the meal. The food was outstanding as well, everything cooked to perfection! The ahi steak had a beautifully seared, both our rolls were well packed with super fresh ingredients. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone staying in the Waikoloa area!

2nd day in Hawaii for our honeymoon and we choose to have sushi. Definitely glad we did. Noelle was our server and we had asked her to just surprise us with whatever she wanted on the menu " we do this alot to see what servers think we will enjoy the most" she exceeded our expectations all the sushi was unique and each flavorful.and fresh. The ravioli was rich and creamy! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Restaurant is on 2nd floor of the plaza in the same space as DK Steak house. We were quickly greeted when we walked into the establishment. We ate at the sushi bar. The chef, Greg, was polite. Our waitress came after a few mins . We ordered sushi and steak. Our rolls were tasty and a sharable size. The steak was Huge and succulent. Both came rather quickly. Great spot for sushi or steak. Food was Plentiful and delicious.

A wonderful dining experience, particularly during happy hour where some of the dishes are half price. The restaurant shares space with a steakhouse (d. k.) and one can order from either menu, but sitting at the bar and sampling various sushi dishes is where it's at. Service is professional but friendly and speedy. Prices are high, but getting there early and taking advantage of the half-price menu can help make a great meal more affordable.

I've been to many sushi places and this one slots in right at the top. Great service, many choices on the menu and amazing sushi. Not cheap, but if you consider the quality and that sushi is generally not a cheap food, it's well worth it!

Great food. Me and my husband stayed at the Marriott hotel and decided to have a night in so we made reservation to dine in. Food served was delicious, complex sushi. SAKE was exceptional. Will definitely make it back again soon.

Fresh, fresh, fresh and very unique flavors. We wanted more than just burgers, poke, and tempura. The special Brussels sprouts were a treat and the crab ravioli was AH-mazing. We were lucky to get a walk up and made a reservation for the next day, to visit again because it was that good. Heads up their website says they don't take reservations/same day reservations but they do. You just need to call.

Great Sushi Restaurant! I enjoyed our dinner at Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar! During our stay in Hawaii we dine in here for 2 times, great service, delicious rolls and very clean! Our Server was very attentive and all time was checking on us! The rolls were fresh and fast made, we enjoyed our food! Highly recommend this place! P.S. You have to make a reservation prior, because they are too busy or fully booked!

Flew from LAX just for the truffle ramen. Sushi is also amazing, ambiance is top tier, and great service. Be sure to line up early cause this place gets super busy. Worth every penny. Been to Nobu and other top tier sushi places and they don’t compare. My favorite sushi spot on earth, Cant wait to return!

Good sushi, though it can get pricey if you like nigiri as much as I do. Had the toro and it melted in mouth along with torch seared salmon nigiri. I like that this place has actual Wasabi chunks not just the green paste.

Ordered take out at 6:30pm, said it would be ready at 7:40pm. Came to the restaurant to pick up and the hostess was extremely rude when I asked if the order is ready. Looked the table next to her and said guess not. No communication when it would it would be ready. Walked back in asking for an estimate and said it would be 20 more minutes. Food was out at 8:27pm. Said they were sorry and would refund the order. I understand we're are in a pandemic but lack of communication and empathy is not ok. Suggest going somewhere else to spend your money for same quality of food and 10x times better service.

An excellent place to have sushi in Honolulu. It is inside the hotel, so it is kind of hard to locate it since it’s in the third floor. The servers are nice and courteous. The good is good and fresh, the beer is cold AF. I highly recommend the dragonfly roll 😋

Nice atmosphere and exceptional service. All the food we had was great. Only issue was the green tea tiramisu, the crunchy topping had a fish flavor, assume they used fry oil that had been used to fry fish. I believe Sunday and Monday that have half off most of the menu, highly recommend getting there early.

The service was fantastic. Our server was very personable and offered great suggestions to help us narrow down our choices. The food was amazing. The sushi was excellent, and the flavors exploded in our pallets. We were pleasantly pleased with the dining experience here.

Hadn’t been to this sushi place in years and love the ones in Maui and as I was in town decided to go back and check it out and enjoy me some fresh sushi. It was great but nothing fancy to write home about. Perhaps my expectations were too high because of memories but I could’ve had similarly good sushi in deserts of Southern California. Solid but not over the top.

I had such a great time while in Oahu. It was experiences like these that made everything memorable. To Our Host: thank you for being so Friendly and welcoming. To Our Bartender: Jade, Thank you so much our drinks were Delicious. To the Manager Coby: you are so awesome and help run your eatery to its finest.

Recommend their Japanese food on the paper manual which has toro and goose liver. Food on the other manual like seafood pasta are too American style. Also, we waited 7 mins until getting served by someone (we have to ask where's our server).
