Well, I'm the guy playing guitar in the pic so I feel funny reviewing the place. But it's fun. Good atmosphere, drink prices competitive if not cheap. It's a great venue for musicians because live music is strongly encouraged and a variety of it is presented. Update April 2023: Okay, I'm still the guy playing guitar in the picture. I have made several new friends who appreciate many different kinds of music. Lots of great musicians play there, sit in with others or host open mics. The staff are friendly and always helpful. It has an upstairs and downstairs, so whether you want to enjoy a quiet drink and watch sports or shoot pool, or take in live music or comedy, they'll take care of you either way

I like Anna O'Brien's. Small, cozy, got a good dive bar atmosphere. It can be a bit stuffy during concerts, but otherwise a good place.

The staff was great! Very friendly and make great drinks. Pretty cool atmosphere with one pool table I was there for the live band karaoke upstairs. The band was good but the song selection was small. I will go back definitely. Following one of the monthly whiskey tasting events, the owner prepared me a holiday drink. It was amazing!!

Perfect blend between dive bar and Irish bar and that's coming from an Irishman! Nice venue upstairs with a cool blues band playing the Sunday I visited. Super welcoming staff and funky punters: well worth a visit!

Had a really fun time, live music and great vibes. There was a $10 cover for the upstairs bar which had live music but you were aloud downstairs as well if you paid. Downstairs you can play darts and pool. Will be back soon!

I went for the comedy show 7pm wednesday night. They have it every week. Cheap drinks and a great vibe with a side of supporting local art.

Terrible customer service . The bartender served the people he found cute first while we waited at the bar for over 15 minutes. We tried getting his attention and he completely ignored us. He saw us waiting we made eye contact several times. Won’t be back

Cool local dive bar. Live music on sundays. You can request songs of karaoke with a live band behind you. Not too busy. friendly staff, good prices :)

I've always had a great time here. The staff has always been professional and attentive to me as a customer. I enjoy the weekly music open mics, monthly live band karaoke, and other music events in the Banana Room and back patio area. Darts and pool downstairs. Darts available at the bar; two boards. Pool is $1 per game. Food is bring your own. Food carts or trucks are often available on event nights.

Anna O’Briens has been the backbone for my sanity throughout my years at UH Manoa. Now halfway into my senior year, this place still provides me with happiness and memorable times. The atmosphere is incredible and the live music never ceases to be a good source of entertainment. I look back at my years coming to this bar and all I have are fond memories. Thank you Anna O’Briens for keeping Thursdays thirsty, just the way they should be.

No food available but you can bring anything in. Great bar and hang out. Lots of Blues Bands play here. Friends of Adam is there every second Sunday. If you like great Hendrix style blues, this is your band!

A very nice neighborhood pub with both local patrons and tourists. At the patio in the back, smoking is permitted.

Anna O'Brien's is your perfect Dive Punk Bar. You can expect to hear all the great metal classics as you pound beers and play pool/ darts.

RockFest 2022 was off the chain again! RuNNzWYLde. Killed it with their Judas Priest tribute. War Pigs was the crowd favorite of the night. And Shoot 2 Thrill? They brought down the house! If you missed it.. Too bad so sad! Come to the next Rockfest!

It was basically dead when we were there but it was almost preferred! The bartender was great. We almost went back a second night we enjoyed our time here so much! They have darts, big connect four, and pool tables.

Downstairs is irish but upstairs is more of the scenic place which is great if you are looking for a more alternative experience. Smoky and definitely a local bar. Not too shabby tho prices are reasonable!

Very polite staff that allowed a stranger such as me to get on stage and have a good time. Not to mention a fun crowd to be around when you are in there. Best bar in the state.

A smokey Irish Pub with an upstairs and main floor. Decent prices, well lit main floor and darker upstairs.

Downstairs is a dive bar with a warm atmosphere and billiards table. Upstairs is small stage that regularly sees live performances. Overall the best place to enjoy a guiness on the island.
