Ambiance of a dimsum restaurant including the bathrooms. Server was yelling and arguing with someone in the kitchen that has open doors and a window. Water was self-serve at a supposed "fine dining" price. Food was 6/10 at best, considering the small portion and its high price, it was not worth it at all. Also there's around 8-10 things total on the menu including apps and main dishes. Honestly this place is a joke. I have had better service, food, and ambiance at a casual sushi restaurant; all of this for a dress code requirement is the biggest laugh of it all. I went on a Saturday night while there was 3 parties and after my experience I see why this place can't fill on a Saturday night. Don't ruin a loved ones special day, go to one of the other popular fine dining restaurants to save yourself from a 150+ bill and disappointment from your loved ones. The good reviews are likely decades old or people who have never experienced much better for the exact same price.

Excellent food...ambience...service!!! Our server...sorry but didn't get his name...was great!!! We had the ahi katsu, crab cake, and escargot "temptations"...all were terrific. For dinner I had the Chinese steamed opah...very well done...chef let the fish star front and center. Others in our party had the lamb chops, miso butter fish, steak (perfectly med rare), chicken, fresh catch (mahimahi), and NZ salmon...everyone seemed 100% pleased with their selections. We also had dessert...bread pudding and 4 or 5 others...all plates were clean by the end of the night. A definite 5 star night!!! We will be back!!!

Dined with a group of 7. Had almost all the appetizers and the butterfish as the main. The food was excellent. Definitely beats expectations given the reviews are slightly mixed. As a local resident, would definitely recommend to locals and those visiting!

We've been a loyal customer for years. Great for large parties and events. Food and quality remained the same. Had the soy sake butterfish. Salad and the shrimp and ahi appetizers. So Ono! Of course would always have room for dessert!

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Scott was our server and was very knowledgeable about the menu and also very kind. He gave us his honest views of what he thought was good and what he would recommend for us. My wife and I shared 4 appetizers and a dessert. Everything we had was delicious. Mahalo for a great dinner!

Service is always exceptional on a consistent basis. Food is top notch, especially the ahi katsu — a favorite. Creme brûlée is also a favorite. Personally, I prefer the appetizers to the main dishes. There’s no shame in doing all appetizers with drinks and desserts to follow, folks. Parking is easy too.

The Salmon and Butterfish were delicious. The Escargo is a must for appetizers. When eating desert I would recommend their famous Bread Pudding. Very cozy and romantic but we went there as a family.

This restaurant should be on everyone's list to dine in the Honolulu area. Order a double portion of the lobster wontons as a main course and you won't need another thing. Butterfish with mashed was perfection. Eric my server, waiter was outstanding. Excellent white wines by the glass.
