Super expensive and small portions. The food is very fancy and it's good, but the prices are just crazy. We were there for brunch and dinner. For brunch we got an avocado toast and a salmon platter and two coffees, all for $70!!!!!!! For dinner we had burrata toast, which I have to say was amazing, you should try it. My husband got the scallops and the server told him to also get a side of rice because it wouldn't be enough (can you believe it?). I got the salmon and it was very good but i was hungry after it. In summary, the food and views are very nice, but i don't think it's worth it. If they portions were bigger sure, but you will be hungry after spending a lot of money.

Beautiful Venue, was quite surprised that I was able to make a reservation two days before our dinner as it seemed to be a very popular and hip restaurant. The vibe and ambiance didnโ€™t disappoint us but the food definitely did. Main fish dish was pretty average at best but the remainder of dishes we ordered were pretty flavourless and the sauce didnโ€™t pair up with the dish at all. Portion is also pretty small. I also specifically mentioned that the dinner was for a birthday and they confirmed theyโ€™ll have Happy Birthday message on the dessert that we order over the phone when I called to confirm my online reservation. However our waitress did NOT note, nor remember the occasion of our dinner and we got a better dessert back at Waikiki. I would not recommend this restaurant as the food and service definitely does not meet up with the price point they propose.

I visited this restaurant recently, attracted by its stunning view. The location is undeniably breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas that make it a perfect spot for a romantic evening or special occasion. However, I must admit that the food was disappointing. Despite high expectations, the dishes lacked flavor and were overpriced for their quality. If you prioritize ambiance and views over food quality, this place might still be worth a visit.

Been here for both brunch and dinner before and after the renovations. The renovations are beautiful ๐Ÿ˜ and I absolutely adore the high ceilings and art wall. The decor is modern and tropical. The outside seating allows for a beach view. The only downside is if there are little to light winds, it can get very hot sitting outside. I would recommend wearing a light fabric/outfit For Brunch: I ordered the Spinach Benedict And fresh fruit platter. I would also recommend trying the Hau Tree french toast and avocado toast. I have yet to try the lobster roll here or the lemon ricotta pancakes :) For Dinner: I would recommend doing sharing plates. The burrata toast is a must try! The grilled octopus dish and the seared scallops are also delicious I really appreciate the restaurant having "booze free" drinks for someone like me who doesn't consume alcohol. It's nice to be able to walk to the restaurant if you are staying nearby. There is available metered parking along Kapiolani Park as well as a valet in the front .

Always amazing views with wonderful food! Brunch is every day and lovely with a mimosa. They have a great lobster ๐Ÿฆž Benedict. Love the crispy potatoes with salsa Verde. They have a really nice chopped salad too. We love the avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘ toast. Our server was amazing. The staff is always friendly and super sweet and nice. It's always so enjoyable ๐Ÿ˜‰ They had the best may day festivities 5.1.2022. They went all out. They had vintage clothing for sale, lei po'o and live music ๐ŸŽถ ๐ŸŽต. We had drinks and cruffin and salads. The most gorgeous view

Mahalo. The Hau Tree bar and restaurant inside the Kaimana Beach Hotel are tiny gems of delight! Both the bar and restaurant are relatively small but if you get a seat you are in luck! The ocean breeze is so nice and the beach view is great because it is a western view so you can watch the sun set as you eat and or drink the night away! I think my favorite thing was how friendly and attentive the service was.

This was the worst experience during our entire 14 day stay in Waikiki. We made reservations for 8 months in advance but when we got there, they split our party up and had us sitting in different areas which completely defeated the purpose of a family dinner. The manager was not helpful even though they had tables where they could have sat all of us together. As for the food...I have a food allergy which meant I was limited to exactly 2 items on the menu because everything else had mushrooms or truffle oil and the chef would not make any changes to my order. Extremely over priced for the portion sizes. 3 oysters on the half shell appetizer was $27 and the crispy pork belly dinner was $43. We paid over $350, including gratuity, for a table of 4 and I didn't even have a full dinner. The view is beautiful, the waiter we had was awesome and apologetic for our experience, even though it was not his fault. We will not be returnng here. I can get better food, with decent portions, reasonable prices and better management elsewhere in Waikiki.

Great service! We had two different server, both were excellent & very accommodating. The atmosphere was beautiful, well lit yet great romantic ambiance. We got to see fireworks since the beach is right there. The food was amazing, the burrata toast was probably my favorite here. It is inside of a hotel, maybe Iโ€™ll look into staying here next time.

Fancy place right on the beach with great views throughout the day and especially at sunset. Service is good. Came for both a breakfast and a dinner. Food is clean and high quality. Standout dish for me was the lobster eggs Benedict. The French toast was average. A bit pricy but worth it.

Celebrated my birthday here! Made a reservation and got a perfect table right in front of the beach. Mai Tais were delicious and our food was amazing! Burger was cooked just right. Then they surprised me with a chocolate birthday cake! The whole experience was wonderful and picturesque.

Good drinks and food paired with a great ambience. I would definitely try and get a reservation for sunset though. For as popular as the swordfish is, I personally didn't feel like it had as much flavor as some of the other dishes but I won't take a star away for that. Favorite bite was easily the Burrata Toast. It was delicious. Also heard their brunch is really good - so there's we might go back to try that too!

We recently took my in laws to Hau Tree for brunch. We made a reservation, and were immediately sat at a beautiful table over looking the tree and beach. The service was a bit slow on a Saturday, but our server was working quite a few tables. Everyone was really happy with the food and we loved their brunch cocktails.

This is the restaurant of the Kaimana Beach Hotel. It has beautiful indoor and outdoor seating and great service. The beach itself is perfect, you can spot monk seals on the beach and there are sea turtles in the water. It's not too crowded. Next to it is the Outrigger Canoe Club.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed by the amazing hostess, Lela who even let us pick our table of choice - which has never happened to us - we felt like VIPs! Then came the server, Juan who was beyond amazing with great recommendations and the friendliest most welcoming smiles we've gotten all year. He was genuine and gave off the best positive energy! It's clear this place is a well-oiled machine because we whispered that it was a bit hot since it was just before sunset and Nicole, a server for another table brought us some cute fans - THAT IS SUPERIOR SERVICE & ATTENTION TO GUESTS. PERIOD. The manager, Dell also came over several times to make sure everything was great and gave us his card so we could text him about anything should we need him. AND ALL THIS W/OUT DISCUSSING THE DELICIOUS, MEMORABLE FOOD on our plates - the chef & his team LOVE what they do and it shows in every dish they put out from the hamachi crudo, the BEST crispy octopus we've ever had, and the pasta dishes that took us back to Venice & the Amalfi Coast (no joke) & all before the wonderful almond cake & aperitif at the end of the meal. P.S. every cocktail was delicious and strong & the bottle of Malbec we got was perfectly priced. The lounge music from the nearby bar was perfect for giving the whole place a hip vibe without being overwhelming. OMG and the views, the SUNSET across the sparkling waves, the blue hour that followed as the Hau Tree lanai transformed under the warmth of the yellow lanterns hanging off the trees, plus the Waikiki Friday fireworks in the distance - we were front row for all of it. IF THE RATING IS 5-STARS WE NEED LIKE 10 MORE STARS FOR HAU TREEE...not only will we be back soon, but we will proudly share it with friends and family who visit the island. ONE OF THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES WE'VE HAD THIS YEAR at a local restaurant (or maybe ever, idk) it was SIMPLY AMAZING & I couldn't stop smiling all night.

The place is great. It is beachfront so you get a goid view. The presentation of food looks very palatable. We got the crabcake eggs benedict, burger and congee. I find the crabcake eggs benedict a little salty. Servers are nice.

Highly recommend this amazing little brunch spot a little ways off the main Waikiki strip. The ocean views are incredible and the food was top tier. We got the eggs Benedict and the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were both delicious. The calm ocean views and good food were the perfect brunch vibes

This spot has become my absolute favorite, be it for brunch or dinner. I've lost track of the numerous times I've frequented this place! It's amusing how I always end up at the same table, creating a quirky routine. Dreaming of the day I secure that coveted front beach view table, but regardless, the consistent charm and delightful meals keep me coming back time after time.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! This is the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been too! It's the perfect restaurant for a date night/ celebratory dinner! It's an open air restaurant, right on the beach! We made sure to have reservations just in time for a late sunset, so we could also enjoy the beautiful lanterns at night! The food was so delicious! The steak was the best I've ever had! Overall the mood of the restaurant was the reason we decided to make reservations here, as we were celebrating our honeymoon, and it just so happened to be the anniversary of our engagement! We wanted to celebrate somewhere that felt romantic, and we could not of picked a better place!

Excellent memorable dinner. The servers were friendly and welcoming. All our orders were absolutely to the perfect taste and fantastic presentation. All food were served at the right moment. Outside venue is amazing at evenings. Both hostesses were so mute and not happy to welcome guests (we observed them with others too), pretty dried and escaping from conversation about the reservation.

I really loved the service at Hau Tree. It felt like Michelin star service with them offering to go out of their way often to make our restaurant experience better. (Taking pictures of us, offering up ideas on how to make the vacation better, offering free dessert, sharing stories about the location) Shout-out to Jordan and Jude! Loved both of them.

August visit. Hands down the best breakfast we had in 2 weeks. Eggs Benedict and smashed avocado with poached egg. Wonderful views sitting on the oceanfront terrace, sophisticated ambiance, great service, and tasty fresh food. Frozen piรฑa colada - delish!

We had brunch here and really enjoyed it, especially being seated on an outside table by the beach. The vibe is outstanding. As for the food, the dishes were good and well presented but quite pricy.

We went for the sunset and it did not disappoint! The ambiance at Hau Tree provides a fresh take on Al fresco dining. The cocktail menu is also top notch. I would agree, their tequila mule might be the worlds best! The food was also delicious from appetizers to dessert. We had the best octopus of our life for a appetizer, steak and Walu for dinner, and the banoffee pie for dessert. Everything was wonderful. Our server, Jude, was also awesome. He was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations that made our experience at Hau Tree very special. The food was so good we forgot to take pictures of our entrees and dessert!

We tried chop salad and Ahu tuna. Both were delicious. Price of mimosa was $15/glass which doesnโ€™t make much sense. You can park with valet for $5/h or $10 for 3h with restaurant validation (which gives you enough time to enjoy the beach as well after your meal)

What a great experience at the Hau Tree. First time here and we reserved a table for a bday dinner. Everything from the valet to the servers was perfect. Great customer service, delicious food, amazing view and the location is perfect for the sunset. Definitely one of my favorite places on island.

Fantastic overall experience! Our dinner was under the tree while watching the sunset. Dinner was delicious and the attention was superb! Highly recommend for couples, very romantic!

Unfortunately we were wildly underwhelmed by this place, way way expensive for tiny tiny portions. And weโ€™ve been before and it hasnโ€™t been that way in the past. My moms eggs were too salty she couldnโ€™t eat it, and I also ordered lobster eggs Benedict and for $35 it was incredibly overcooked and chewy. The view is gorgeous but you can find such better food anywhere else. $100 got us a coffee and 2 eggs Benedict & some eggs. And the portions are soooooo small.

I googled best breakfast in Honolulu and ended up at this place. I ordered two eggs (sunny side up with salad ), and French toast. For drinks I tried the POG juice, Mai Tai and Mimosa. Before, I talk about the food, I have to talk about the ambience and the interiors of the place. It is Amazing !! The flow of spaces is natural and the lobby wall is a view to behold. Absolutely beautiful ! Looks like a giant piece of artwork. The furniture is appropriate with lots of natural light and fans. If you are looking to eat by the beach side , make a reservation in advance. Resuming the review about food and drinks โ€ฆ my recommendation : Mai Tai.
