👍👍 We came in right at 4 after checking in to our hotel so got in on the happy hour special. The pork belly boa bun appetizer was yummy as were the chicken spring rolls and poutine fries. My grandson ordered the crab and spicy Ahi roll and we loved them. I didn’t care for the braised Mongolian BBQ baby... We came in right at 4 after checking in to our hotel so got in on the happy hour special. The pork belly boa bun appetizer was yummy as were the chicken spring rolls and poutine fries. My grandson ordered the crab and spicy Ahi roll and we loved them. I didn’t care for the braised Mongolian BBQ baby back ribs but my grandson loved them. My husband ordered the tender beef short ribs and said they were good and very tender. The service was wonderful. Employees are helpful and kind. Loved the little towels for cleaning our hands. We are here celebrating my birthday and my grandson’s graduation so they set little signs on our table and brought me a complimentary dessert which was yummy. We got there right when they opened so we didn’t have to wait for a table.

January 2022: Came here to celebrate a birthday and was treated to some super delicious food and drinks. Happy Hour is until 6pm and we tried the burger 🍔 + beer 🍺, brussel sprouts and the ahi sushi roll. The burger was cooked medium and came with onion rings, mushroom 🍄 and cheese. Probably one of the best burgers that I have had in a long time. The brussel sprouts were very tasty and served with Chinese sausage. The ahi sushi was good but not memorable (as far as sushi goes). To start, they give you edamame to snack on. Was great with some nice seasame oil notes. Drinks were good. The pineapple 🍍 martini had a pineapple soaked in liquor for five days 😃. Beer paired well with the burger. Oh yeah. The fries with the burger had really nice crunch. Not sure if they used some type of corn starch dusting to keep it crunchy! Was really tasty 😋. Service was fantastic too. Everyone was super nice. As a surprise, they gave us a birthday celebratory cake for dessert. Really nice staff! 👍 All in all, a great time with great delicious food!

A fantastic restaurant we visited in Honolulu, lovely atmosphere, super delicious food and really helpful server. We ordered twice for the Crunch Roll, the taste is rich and incredible, strongly recommended if you like Sushi. The tiger shrimp in the seafood medley is very good.

Great service and wonderful drinks and appetizers. We had the ribs and the chicken spring rolls. Very great: However, we each got a burger and it tasted frozen which was unfortunate, we couldn’t even eat half of it. The fries were great, along with the bacon jam on the burger! We decided to have dessert (20 min wait for some desserts) so placed our order early. However my boyfriends came out and was wrong so our options were to wait another 20 min or to discard the dessert. The waiter was extremely apologetic, so I don’t want to take off a star for that. He was absolutely wonderful. My dessert was good however tasted like some chain restaurants chocolate cake - good, just nothing special. Again, completely great service. Just for the price, the quality of both the desserts and the burger just doesn’t justify it.

Great Experience at Eating House 1849 in Waikiki! Having a night out with my husband on my birthday was a truly wonderful time, I enjoyed so much our food, cocktails and time spent together! This restaurant has a really cozy atmosphere, their staff is friendly and helpful, they know their job and they are good at it! The restaurant was fully booked, we didn’t make a reservation prior, but we got the chance to wait only 15 minutes to be seated! I really loved it! I will definitely return next time to this location and I highly recommend it! Very delicious food! As my husband usually is very picky eater he enjoyed everything!

GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!! This was our favorite place from our entire trip. The pricing is no different than any other fancier restaurants we visited but we could not find a fault in this one. Most places you go claiming to have such high level cuisine often serves small portions but that wasn't the case here and we both left with plenty of leftovers. Definitely recommend coming at happy hour as the apps are super affordable. The noodles served with the fish were amazing and could be a meal by themselves. Souffle was divine. The service we had was unmatched. Drinks never ran dry, there was a new one before we finished. 6 out of 5 stars

Amazing food, ambience, and service! Our favorite meal of our vacation!! This is on the third floor of the mall, but it feels so secluded and peaceful and luxurious. There are other restaurants on the floor too, some more $$ but the outdoor seating is all exposed and passerbys can see you eating. This outdoor area is surrounded by flora, and it’s so nice! We enjoyed all the food (paella has amazing flavor!) and yummy drinks. Our service was also almost comically good - our server was so sweet, and all the other people were also so attentive! My mom briefly dropped her napkin and then picked it up and put in back on her lap and within seconds someone came with a new one, saying “we saw there was a dropped napkin here, may we replace it?” Anyways, highly recommend! The happy hour also has great deals.

Great place for dinner and drinks. My family went during happy hour and the food and service were amazing. I had the lobster and truffle ramen and we shared some of the bao and it was all fantastic. I would definitely encourage any to check it out.

Meet a friend here for drinks. They have a few happy hour choices. I tried the old fashioned and the pineapple martini. Both were excellent and we had 2 rounds. Staff was attentive. We sat outside. There was a musician playing live music too. The restaurant is tucked away from the main street and provides a respite from the hustle and bustle. We didn't eat, but the menu looks great. We had a reservation.

Located on the 3rd floor-Grand Lanai restaurant floor at the International Market Place. Came here for dinner and was impressed with the service and food. Excellent and attentive service. We had the Plantation Paella, Grilled BYO Salmon, Pork Belly buns, and Beef ribs. They were all very delicious. Prices were reasonable. Wait staff were very attentive, and courteous. Good atmosphere for either small or large groups.

Ordered the yellowtail fish with Pansit and it was amazing! My husband ordered the wild boar burger and said it was the best burger he'd ever had. Fries were excellent as well. Server Kimmie P. was also very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Wait staff was quick to refill water and attentive as well. Ambiance/outdoor atmosphere was nice but could have used some music or something. Vibe was a little stale.

Perfect meal in paradise. Friendly service, fresh ingredients and you can taste the love in the food.. Recommend the short rib poutine, chicken spring rolls, sushi, ribs and especially the "build your own fish" option. The sauteed kampachi with risotto and beurre blanc was sensational. We will be back for brunch! Aloha and mahalo, Eating House 1849. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🍻

One of the best happy hours in Honolulu. Trust me I’ve been to plenty not just in Hawaii but all around the USA. Had the 1849 burger(juicy), pineapple martini (pineapple garnish packs a punch) and a glass of cold beer…WOW! To make things even better was the friendly & attentive service from Jerad. Enjoyed every minute of my time at Eating House 1849.

What an absolutely awesome experience. The small details made for a memorable honeymoon experience. All the staff were courteous, friendly and took care of us perfectly. The food was absolutely divine. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and the mahi mahi was perfect. Every course was outstanding. Thank you to everyone.

A good find in the International marketplace. Pleasant roof top views of Waikiki and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my spicy tuna roll, but the Kona Kamapachi Crudo was a little over the top. I didn’t like the crunchy things sprinkled all over it. I prefer simple. Service was top notch, with our waters constantly being refilled and our server always checking on us. Overall, we had a really nice experience.

Me and my wife went here for my birthday dinner, being that we haven’t dined at one of Roy’s new restaurants. Service started out okay. Drinks and appetizers came out on time. I would recommend the chicken spring rolls as this is an easy solid option. The poke that we ordered was a “trio” of there House fish options. I was not impressed with it at all. Not quite seasoned as well as the dish could have been, and I’m quite sure that they used a bunch of the trimming from there nicer fish cuts. Some of the pieces were quite chewy in texture. Moving on to our main courses our server was NOT attentive at all. Drinks took over 30 minutes to get, I had to use a butter knife for my fillet which was definitely not a medium temp and our server did not check on us after dropping the entrees. I also ordered the creamed kale and potatoes liannaise which I had to eat together because of the creamed kale being so salty and the potatoes were absolutely bland. My wife ordered some salmon that I will say was delicious. We actually had to order our dessert through a passing server who had a different section because our server was having a loud and open conversation with a nearby table. All in all our food that we ordered was sub par at best. Service was definitely inexcusable. And our server even had the excuse of saying that he usually works day shifts and that he was new. In the end we left with a free dessert and a $50 gift card for the bad service. All in all, our experience was not up to Roy’s standards that we have. I will always recommend going to the Ko’olina Roy’s which is a way better restaurant than the new one, which was super unfortunate for us because my wife and I had such high hopes in this location.

I've eaten at eating house on Kaua'i many times and was delighted to know there was one near my hotel. Celebrated my birthday with a good friend and had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was great but the highlight of the night was the server and the meal. Jared was amazing as a server and I highly recommend him. He knew the food and beverage menu and made suggestions that arrived or meal. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts.

One of the best high quality restaurants you can find with such a low price. The 35 dollar 3 course tasting menu available between 4-6 pm is a must try. I really appreciate the way chef blends different types of cuisine with his own twist.

We are SO happy we chose this place. There's a lot of places to choose from in this area, and especially in the Asian/pan Asian group. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful, the service was great in a genuine way, the food was exactly what we wanted. Dessert was incredible too, and is made to order. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that there was live music that night as well. All in all just a great experience! I'll also add though, we tried to reserve a table online and saw that it was a long wait time (it was already around dinner time when we were looking), but when we showed up at the restaurant we were seated immediately at a table rather than just at the bar. :)

We were lucky that we could get in right away. My husband wanted to drink, so we ordered seafood medley and lobster paella. All of the seafood were so fresh of course and we love the huge oysters! And lobster paella was also delicious. Atmosphere was great and we enjoyed our dinner! Highly recommended

The food is well prepared and the service is top notch. We had the Brussel sprouts which were cooked perfectly. The clams were the best dish. The sauce is delicious and I would recommend a side of rice or bread to finish it off, it is that good. I had the butter fish and it was good but a little too much sauce. The seafood melody is generous. The chocolate soufflé is worth the wait. I would eat here again. It's worth the price.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The people were friendly. No seating but I think that's due to Covid. Just had to go in to order and then wait outside for the cashier to bring it to us.

We sat at the bar for dinner and ordered the Ragout and the Short Rib. Our drinks and entrees were great! The short rib was very tender and the potatoes were phenomenal. My brussel sprouts were hard, so they could have been cooked with a little more tlc. The chocolate dessert we had was the perfect end to our meal, however I would not order the coffee cake (or whatever was served as the Birthday picture posted here, as it was extremely dry). Overall, a nice dinner spot here in Waikiki

Excellent dining experience. My wife and I went here for our wedding dinner right after we got married and it was amazing. Super friendly and attentive staff, great food, delicious wine and desert. Highly recommend.

Had just got into town and were looking for a quick bite. We happened to hit happy hour and that was perfect. We were able to walk up and get bar seating right away. Reservations probably are your best plan if you want table seating. We got a couple of the drink specials and tried the Mongolian BBQ Baby Back Ribs and the Kalbi Style Chicken Skewers. The ribs pack a punch of BBQ flavor. But the chicken skewers I totally loved! Had to get another batch coming right away. The chicken was tender and the taste just popped! Very affordable and our bartender was great!
