The room was super clean, the area it's in is perfect for doing everything and the customer service... well it's Hawaii so it's always going to be great. The price because I got it 2 days before my stay so it wasn't too bad, but get it ahead of time and the price is going to be great. Love this place gotta astay here for real.

Great rooms in a really good location that is close to everything. It's right across from the cheesecake factory and the premium brand stores. Water pressure is okay, but the washroom is not sound proof so you can hear when someone goes to the toilet. Has a pool and hot tub, but its not very hot at night.

All rooms identical? Location is excellent. On the 23rd floor with an Ocean View that looked south towards and down the beach. If wanted Ocean direct Ocean view it seems like a few rooms would have that otherwise you'd see a buildings and such. It can be noisy via street and mall/bar performances but appeared to stop about 10pm. Elevators are loud when arriving at floor also. Not a new hotel but it's nice. Beach access across the street as well as shopping area. I'd stay here again and would recommend.

My husband and I had the perfect stay here. All staff were amazing, special mention to Kayann who made our honeymoon that much more special. Plus it’s a bonus to have Dukes right in the hotel. Valet service was awesome. Views from our hotel room were very pretty. Beach right out front was perfect. Definitely recommend staying here!

The location is great—right on the beach and walkable to thousands of restaurants. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. Ric at the front desk was especially welcoming and kind. The hotel itself is really clean but the decor is a bit outdated and the rooms need to be renovated to more current designs. The pool is quite small and no hot tub but we didn’t mind since the hotel is on the beach. They have live music near the pool /restaurant multiple times a day. They always have towels ready by the pool too. You have to rent beach umbrella and chairs on the beach which should we included . Other than that, no complaints. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Our 1st stay in Hawaii. Staff was super friendly and helpful and we were upgraded for a low price to a one bedroom suite. The Voyager Club option offered excellent appetizers and breakfast with great drinks included. Ended up skipping dinner both nights we were there as a result since the appetizer bar offered so much. Nice shops good location. Amazing beach. Highly recommend!

Rooms are a bit dated, but ocean view rooms are great!! Very laid back and casual hotel is great for relaxing. Perfect location on the beach with many food options and an ABC right in the hotel. We will be back soon!! Worth upgrading to club floors for better views, lounge is only open limited hours, but the location and views during breakfast and cocktails hour is worth it! Photos are from lounge terrace. Perfect place to enjoy sunsets!

Fabulous Hotel. Friendly warm and welcoming staff, Check in was easy. Room was spotlessly clean and kept clean by a lovely house keeping lady. Easy access to the beach. Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and were very happy to do so. The 2 restaurants located there , Dukes & the Hula grill were awesome. Try the Surf shack for an alternative breakfast, wonderful. We felt at ease and relaxed for our entire stay. Loved every minute.

If you are looking to stay right in the center of all the action then this is the right place for you. This updated hotel has local vibes with a modern feel, with decoration and even paintings from local artist. The service is outstanding, staff are kind, warm and welcoming. Location is perfect for beach access, shopping, restaurants, and close to local attractions. Great for families, couples, and friends. Best part is you have straight access from the lobby to Aroma Cafe, an awesome coffee/ bar to have drinks or start your day with french toast and coffee. Their menu selection is filled with delicious delights. The cefe is also open to the pool side. This is a hotel you want to come back to.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The view from our ocean front room was amazing. Loved listening to the bands play on the pool deck from our balcony in the evenings. The staff here was fantastic. Special shout out of thanks to the housekeeping staff who went above and beyond to make sure we had exactly what we needed, the bell desk team and the valet team were the absolute tops! Phenomenal week! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location with great views! Wished we could've got a higher room but all the suites were booked for the weekend. Staff was amazing and accommodated our requests to get champagne glasses and sewing kits late at night. Valet parking, and bell desk process was smooth and trouble free. Check in and check out was great and staff provided late check out free of charge after a late night. Really appreciated the extra sleep!

Everyone here is so sweet!!! We had the best room and the best view!! It was definitely the dream vacation!! The housekeeping ladies are super sweet and always happy to help. The front desk lady Nicole was a lifesaver!!! She is so sweet and she saved the day when my wedding dress ripped she definitely saved me❤️❤️❤️ Can’t thank her enough!! This hotel is right in the middle of the super high-end shops and so the shopping was crazy fun! So much fun shopping right here!! Can’t say enough good things about this it’s busy and lots of people but not in a bad way, we loved it it was perfect for us!!

From the time we arrived everyone we encountered where wonderful!! 10 stars if that was a option. Would definitely stay there again. It is right on the beach loved seeing the sun rise and sun sets. Loved that everything was in walking distance. Definitely check on the trolley routes to see more of the island. The location is beautiful and the room was clean and very nice. And they will hold your bags to keep them safe if you leave later on a flight and called us a taxi to get to the airport. Highly recommend!!

Stayed here in September. Absolutely a relaxing location. Poolside food and drinks and just laid out and did a whole lotta nothing. Walked out the back door to a beautiful beach and excellent water. Sat and enjoyed a drink while looking at diamond head. Dinner at dukes was excellent. Hotel breakfast buffet perfect. Sat and had an ocean view with our breakfast buffet. Looking forward to returning soon. Mahalo outrigger Waikiki.

This five star review is a shout out to Amy Honey, guest services manager at the Outrigger. I would like to express my full gratitude for their hospitality. Thanks to Amy, our honeymoon will be most memorable! We also loved the lei making at the voyager, super fun activity to break up the morning sunbathing. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

My family and I have been at the Outrigger since the 6th due to water contamination. From the very beginning, the staff have all been so kind and have made a not great situation bearable. The housekeeping staff got us a microwave so we could make some quick meals and upon realizing we had our kiddo, they started to leave a third bottle of water so we all had our own. Our room always looks so nice every evening when we come back from work and school and it’s relaxing to walk into. Everyone at the bell desk is wonderful as well. We never feel like a bother even when we come and go multiple times a day. Troy recognizes us with our new rescue pup who is really nervous and always asks how she’s doing. He has been so gentle with her when most people don’t recognize how scared she is. The rooms themselves (we’ve been in two) were both immaculately clean and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. Our first room had a giant closet that was perfect for suitcases. My only gripe is the noise but that’s the trade off for the location and it’s nothing a white noise machine won’t fix. Since we can’t cook at home it’s nice to have lots of walkable options for meals. We’ve really enjoyed our time here and wish we didn’t have to move hotels. Thanks for taking such good care of us!

Fiona was the best housekeeper! Beautiful views of the beach, awesome pool, comfortable room. Beds are a little small for 2 adults but still comfortable. Loved every minute at this place! Hotel employees are super helpful, honest and wonderful attitudes.

I am posting our review late since we stayed here this summer. This was our 30 year anniversary trip taken a year late because of the pandemic. We saved our money a lot of years in order to take this trip and wanted everything to be just right for us. And it was. Neither of us have ever traveled outside of the mainland, so this was a first. Our hotel stay was perfect. The location is ideal; we didn't rent a car and chose to walk instead. Seemed like a good plan because traffic in Honolulu is insane. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean which was perfect to fall asleep to at night. There was some ongoing construction at the time, but that didn't interfere with our stay. We hope to return again someday and hope to get the same room.

The hotel staff, especially the bell hops were all very accommodating to our entire family. (20 of us) all staying in different rooms. The resort was within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Which was nice. We had a good stay here & hope to return in the future. 😊

We had the best experience this past week. When we arrived I had in mind we had a ocean front room but it was a ocean view. The manager Charles understood and explained to me where the error was. While he could not give me the ocean view without extra charge he did give me 3 extra rooms to look at, and for me to choose. He was so professional and kind. I would most definitely go back. Everyone was always smiling and asking if they could help in any way. Mahalo!!!!

Great place, right on the beach...we opted for the partial view and voyager lounge club. I would not recommend it..the room was good but the private lounge was not the experience I expected. Limited food selection, serve yourself. The view you see in the advertised photo's is the same you have at any of the restaurants. Go for the ocean view and balcony!

5 Stars only because Staff and location, Other than that Hotel is 2.5 stars at the best(furniture inside of rooms looks like rundown motel 6, all chipped ,old carpets are vacuumed but very old, ceiling has some water leak stains), Food in Hula Grill and Duke's restaurant is 1 star at the most. Ordered room service multiple times from both and after first bite food hit the garbage can(DO NOT ORDER FISH AND CHIPS). Just don't waste your time trying to eat here, go to ABC stores for sandwich. Or Cheese Cake Factory for lunch/dinner(very close by, next to the Hotel) Breakfast was disaster also. People /Staff are great and very helpful , House keeping is great! (Trip was 8-30 to 9-9)

We stayed here for the marathon due to the partnered rates and recommendation. I was happy with our decision as it's a great location right on the beach with Duke's and Hula Grill on site. We stayed in room 503 which seemed just fine to me as far as cleanliness and condition, but there were a couple of bothersome things about it. The 2 biggest problems that affected good rest: street noise and bed. I had to sleep with ear plugs and my noise cancelling headphones the entire time I was there just to try and get some decent sleep especially when trudging 26+ miles in the humidity. And the king bed had this funny hump right in the middle of it which left my husband and I feeling like any slight movement would have us tumbling off. My favorite things about the hotel was reception desk and bell staff. Both crews were amazingly friendly and helpful. If it wasn't for the young man working marathon morning, I would have never made my way to a cab with all the street closures. Duke's patio, of course, has fun live music and tasty food and drink. Also, the Sunrise Cafe and Pai's Deli we're wonderful to have on site. They had quick, easy to go, and tasty food and smoothies. Bottom line: I would stay here again simply due to location and staff but definitely ask for a different room, double beds, or upgrade.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's right on the beach. The service is exceptional. The valet staff are amazing and quick. However, the lift is a joke. I understand that it's the only lifts that service the rooms but I'm sure there's a better way to get around the wait times. The rooms are okay. Need some updating. The bed and linen are very comfortable. Perfect after a busy day. I cleaned my room with wipes before unpacking (it's just something I do at every hotel) and everything seemed to be cleaned thoroughly beforehand. I wish there was more vegetarian options in the restaurants in the hotel. We didn't eat once at dukes or the grill because of this. I would stay here again but I do think some areas of the hotel need addressing.

Perfect location and great stay. We booked the partial view king bed room and i thought it was great. My partner did say the carpet, tv, and lighting was outdated, but I didn’t notice. We hardly stayed in the room except to sleep. Yes there were some annoyances but overall, for the location, I would stay there again Pros: Beach proximity, comfy bed/pillows, balcony, Dukes restaurant right below with great service and food, plus a lot of shopping and convenience stores in the hotel. Cons: No beach amenities included ($15/hr for a pair of chairs and umbrella that they set out for you). Room service took a long time to arrive with requests (extra towels and then they had holes in them). Couldn’t figure out room service for food since the website for the restaurant you order from kept trying to do only pick up. Incredibly loud outside which apparently is normal for that street (first timer)

The property sits beach front which was great. Room with Partial views of the beach and Diamond Head. Room decor could use some updating. Purchased the Voyager Club and did not like the options for hot breakfast nor the choices for snacks in the evening. Had to ask for me free Voyager Club bag. The staff were all great. Wendy the housekeeper was great.

A family member recommended we stay here for a portion of our honeymoon when we were in Oahu. When we arrived, we were made aware that the Duke’s package we had thought we paid for (through a travel agency) wasn’t actually included in our booking. We tried to work this out through our travel agent and the hotel staff at the Outrigger but were unsuccessful at figuring out this issue before departure and unfortunately we missed out on the free daily breakfast/lunch option we thought was included in our booking. We did end up eating at Duke’s for breakfast to go, lunch at the pool and for dinner a few times while we were here which was overall great. For the daily resort fee paid, it was disappointing seeing how small the pool was and that there were no umbrellas for shade. If you want to sit under an umbrella, you will have to pay for this on the beach. The hotel room was a little out dated. We had a partial ocean view which was decent though we were directly above a roof top where they emptied trash. We were able to see a portion of Waikiki beach. From our balcony, we also saw a few rainbows during our stay which were spectacular. If you have a car, they only offer valet. Valet service was excellent. Best part of this hotel is the location and access to Waikiki beach. Duke’s being in the lower level is definitely a huge attraction. The section of Waikiki beach it is on was beautiful. It is also walking distance from so many stores, coffee shops and restaurants. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a great location, food and access to Waikiki beach. If you are looking for a romantic experience for a special occasion, I would suggest staying elsewhere.

If what you are looking for in a hotel is the bare minimum hospitality, a rude front desk and to pay for anything extra including parking, chairs, umbrella or any beach amenity, then this is the place for you. I stayed here once before 15-20years ago and all I can say is they unfortunately not kept up with the times, no zero maintenance and have begun to charge for every item. I also find it interesting to notice a lot of the 5-Star reviews on google are from “local guides”. We stayed here earlier this month and the island it self was worth it, however not this hotel. All other hotels had a nice set of chairs and umbrellas set out for their customers to use (professional appearance), the Outrigger made bare minimal efforts and would randomly place a chair or umbrella out somewhere in a unreserved crowded part of the beach. Very outdated rooms. Paying extra for Partial Ocean view and Club Access, NOT WORTH IT. See pictures. Apparently this type of room means straight out your view will be the roof of another ugly building and if you rubber neck your head while leaning out over the balcony you’ll enjoy a sliver of ocean between the hotel and another hotel. Pool was extremely small and over crowded, especially for pandemic times. Not appreciated. Though valet was $40 per day at least the men working it were very nice. They told us of a garage near by for a monthly rate of $150, which was a big save for a 10day stay. This was our honeymoon and I would never recommend it for any stay. Nothing special was done and no one mentioned it. This was my first trip to Hawaii where there was no welcome floral lay at the hotel. I asked if us celebrating our honeymoon was noted in our account, thinking we would at least receive a congratulations, and though yes it was noted the font desk made no further acknowledgment besides confirming the notation. When we asked if any other possible better partial ocean view rooms were available, not only did the front desk women roll her eyes, but also she stated even if we upgraded to ocean view it will still look out from the side of the building and not out in front of the ocean. Which we found out later was very misleading because we made friends with people who had an ocean view facing the ocean. We would have paid more for any better view than what we paid for partial and we’re given. Will never come again and NEVER recommend.
