Our experience was not the best. We were pretty much forced to purchase a room upgrade to get a decent room. The first room we got was extremely small with a pretty much non-existent ocean view even though it was marketed as having one. We were placed at a corner of the hotel with a view of an extremely narrow piece of the beach, which basically seemed like using a loophole in order to advertise and sell the room as an ocean view. The only solution we got from the front desk was to pay $1,000 extra for a room upgrade since the hotel was pretty full (because of labor day) which was super disappointing. They actually wanted us to upgrade to an even more expensive room and spend $2,000 extra for a room with 2 balconies, which did not make any sense because our friends’ room had 2 balconies and we booked the exact same room. Since we did not have any other option other than to keep the tiny secluded room or purchase an upgrade, my boyfriend and I decided to take an ocean front room upgrade for $1,000 more with 2 double beds because apparently they didn’t have an ocean front room with a king bed (which made me extremely unhappy and a double bed for both of us was a little tight). They made no effort to help us nor did they even try searching for any other available rooms. The most frustrating part is that we know they had rooms that were actually ocean view, because the other members of our group all had these types of rooms. Not only did they have actual views of the water, but their rooms were considerably more spacious and comfortable. The customer service was extremely disappointing and I expected more from the Marriott. The only reason why we did not leave the hotel was because our family and friends were staying there and we had already paid for the original room. My suggestion to everyone is to be really careful with booking here because you might not get an actual ocean view but instead get a parking lot and pool view like I did with zero help from the staff.

This resort has everything. Right along the main street for Waikiki Beach, friendly staff, easy access to the beach, convenience to lots of ABC Stores and eateries, they even provided free beach chairs. If you're lucky, you'll get a free umbrella too as people do donate them to the "main bin" when they check-out. Quick and easy access to valet parking. Everything is spotless. We traveled during COVID, with children, and felt very safe with all the precautions taken by the Marriott. They even gave a surprise gift to my daughter as she was celebrating her birthday in Hawaii. Definitely a 5-star location.

Our view was pretty spectacular! Our room had two double beds which were lumpy and saggy - they definitely need to replace their beds!! One of the beds was right up against the window. Mini fridge was nice to have. The bathroom had a barn door sliding door…I don’t think that’s the best choice for a bathroom door. Also they need to deep clean their carpets -I recommend wearing slippers if you don’t want filthy feet. Our room had a door connected to the next room - it was paper thin and we could hear every word spoken. I gave it four stars because the room was spacious, had a great view of the ocean, the lanai was nice to relax on and enjoy the ocean view, and the staff was very nice and friendly.

Close to the beach and reasonably priced. We paid extra for a room with a beach view which was worth it. Has a family pool and an adult only pool. The pool was nice and clean. We got a cabana which was nice. We had room credits which was only usable at 2 of their restaurants. Our rooms did not have cups until we requested it. They also have no microwaves to heat food, neither in the room or common areas. What’s the point of being by surrounded by Hawaiian food if you can’t bring it back to your room. Overall still a decent experience and would stay here again.

Definitely a 3 star hotel, but not in a bad way. Our stay was decent and we liked that the there were reusable water bottles provided with a few “hydration stations” around the lobby area. Housekeeping was also quick with any requests. I think the main cons would be that the towels were extremely rough (like sandpaper) and the bedding was not the softest either. Otherwise, a good stay overall at a fair price compared to other places near by.

Some pluses and a lot of minuses. The staff are very nice and helpful and the hotel is beautiful. View amazing, comfortable bed, nice balcony. The Jacuzzi is nice to relax in but small and chlorinated. The Japanese restaurant was outstanding. the minuses: It’s super expensive. This resort fee. it gives you nothing. Well, you get a nice lei when you walk in. there are some small activities. They don’t even try. There are no umbrellas for the beach or proper beach chairs. I mean.. why even go there? Isn’t this supposed to be a beach experience? felt like being fleeced. About the beach: the way to do it is to buy a beach umbrella at the ABC store.

I suppose Waikiki standard of living is just different, perhaps. For similar price, I can get a 5.5 stars hotel in Asia easily with lots of room amenities, minimum of which would be a free standing bath tub, mood lights, massage shower, fancy sofa and other luxury items. Here I found no kettle, no shaver/dental kit or even bottled water. I do find the fill-your-own bottle at the lobby area a good practice to be environmentally friendly though. No complain. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean and things work. About 3 minutes walk from Waikiki Beach. It has its own Starbucks outlet and a convenience store. At the other wing of the building one can find a good steakhouse and another Starbucks cafe. Staff were friendly and helpful. My favourite place of my room was the balcony. Lots of sunlight, and on this visit, a dove dropped by to say hello.

Stayed 5 nights total. A solid hotel in Waikiki but don't think I'll be back. Its one block from the beach and in the middle of everything which is a big plus! Check in was extremely slow at around 4 pm, waited aImost 30 minutes in line. I did find the rooms on the smaller side compared to other name brand hotels in the area. It was quite cramped for 2 adults and 2 older teens. Beds are only double sized. The room was also pretty dark as we were facing away from the sun, it was not my favorite. Housekeeping was slow and never brought the items we requested, and they would come knocking on our doors at 10am every morning. Valet parking was great though! There was always someone ready to grab your car and it only took 5 minutes max. They have daily activities and beach chairs to rent, which was nice to offset the pricey "resort" fee. All in all it was a good hotel but I will be staying at other hotels in the future.

Amazing staff, best location. Ample of parking with valet and self parking both options available. The view you get from the room is superb. Ocean view may not always be good since there can be a a very small patch of the ocean and they name it ocean view. I got the diamond head ocean view which was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. The restaurants were the only part which I didn't like. Not much vegan/vegetarian options available. Giving 5 starts because the staff and service is good. Clean rooms with good amenities.

Beautiful hotel and the staff was incredible. We were greeted with leis, concierge helped us book exactly what we wanted to do rather than try to sell us every excursion, & rooms were cleaned thoroughly. They also gave reusable water bottles to fill up at the stations they had around the hotel. Plus, easy walk from the beach and shops. Highly recommend!

Oh this lovely gem of a resort! Located right in the heart of the famous and desirable Waikiki Beach, this resort has a touch of luxury in the middle of Honolulu. We stayed in an Oceanfront suite (180 views of the ocean) and it was the best experience waking up to such a mesmerizing view! The staff and crew were beyond hospitable and welcoming. Service was really excellent. This resort has activities for its guests - yoga classes, Tai chi classes, orchid Lei making class, movie nights ("dive" in by the pool) and SO much more.

We recently stayed in Hawaii for a week and trying to find a nice resort can be difficult to say the least but after much research, we settled on the Waikiki Beach Marriott. I've never had a bad experience while staying at a Marriott hotel. The check in was seamless and hassle free with the front desk giving great customer service and answering all of our questions. Everyone from the valet, concierge, room service and maid service was great. They have a variety of things to keep your family or just you and your partner entertained. They have a pool just for adults, and the other is for kids, which is really convenient and relaxing. A highly thorough fitness center, numerous shops in the lobby, several bars and restaurants, one of which features live music at night, as well as convenient access to the beach. Overall, I am happy with our experience at Waikiki Beach Marriott because it was a great value, close proximity to many attractions, customer service was great. We will definitely consider staying again in the future.

We had an amazing trip in Hawaii as we stayed for a week in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. In addition to your stay our family purchased the top level suite; therefore, enabling us an opportunity to the lounge. There area a variety of foods, desserts, and beverages available with fantastic seating and views. This specific location was so accommodating. Obviously the beach is below, but this location was within walking distance to tour buses and there is a plethora of taxi's to take you just about anywhere. During our trip the weather was so nice that we just left the screen door to the porch open at night and in the morning hours, as the clouds captivated your inner spirit. In the early morning hours, around 3am, it was the most peaceful thing sitting on the balcony hearing the waves, seeing surfers going on into the ocean, and the wonderful colors of the sky. If you stay at this location you will not be let down. 1. There is a beautiful walking area to the right of the hotel where trees overshadow the sunlight and the flowers (and nature) put you into a different mindset. 2. Plenty of places to eat inside the hotel and past the walking area I mentioned above. Trust me when I say it is not far at all.

The hotel is very modern and CLEAN my view was from the balcony was everything!! I could wake up to the sun and calming water everyday. They upgraded my room for me which was a bonus and sent champagne to my room upon arriving. I felt like a celebrity. The staff was very helpful and gave recommendations on places to eat and sights to visit. I used the gym and the laundry room, making reservations for both was super easy and upon arriving it was sanitized. I really enjoyed my stay here. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed here for the 3rd time and we will DEFINITELY be back. My husband comes for work and I often find myself just lounging at the pool. The bar and pool staff are EXCEPTIONAL!! They are so friendly and always make me feel right at home. The drinks are amazing and always come quickly. Most of the food is good. This trip I would like to call out Reece, Walter, Liz, Jade, Angelo, Gary and Ryan (that's a lot but I was there for 2 weeks & they were ALL amazing) for being above and beyond AWESOME. I only had a hard time with one of the pool deck servers (Chrissy) but from my understanding she will not be there for much longer.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and daughter’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The room was comfortable and spacious. Ambience in the dining areas was perfect. The staff at the pool, especially Rainbow, were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Resort has interesting classes, many of them with a nice local touch. The views from the pool area are stunning with gorgeous sunset views. We had a great view of Diamond Head along with the ocean from the room. Really enjoyed our stay.

It’s always nice to escape for a little bit. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was within walking distance and it wasn’t as loud where we are since we’re not in our 20s anymore. The pool was nice and you get a great view of the beach and sunset. Rainbow, who was part of the pool staff, was very nice. TVs are smart and have Netflix and YouTube if you need to stream, no need to bring a chrome cast or fire stick. Will probably stay here again in the future.

Valet was fast & efficient. Check in was smooth. Didn’t get the girls name but she was really nice & helpful (Worked at the regular front desk). Booked my day bed at the adult pool the day before i needed. As i entered the pool area, i immediately got help from a nice lady named Rainbow. She talked very polite & escorted me to my day bed & set up my area. She got done with making my area & told me she was going to bring the paper i needed to sign to me, so i didn’t have to wait for the other guest to finish, which i thought was nice. So far, my stay here has been great.

We had a wonderful week at the Waikiki Beach Marriott. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with a view over the pool area and the beach beyond. It was perfect for both relaxation and work calls. Cheryl freshened our room each day and was a joy to interact with...so sweet and friendly! We spent each morning at the adult pool and received excellent and friendly service each day. We ordered poolside snacks and, as well, ate at a couple of the restaurants on site, and all the food we ordered was super good. Evening sunsets on the pool deck are something not to miss - gorgeous! The hotel is located toward the end of the busy beach area so not quite as noisy as in other spots, yet close enough to everything to make it convenient. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Rainbow was lovely. She is very kind and explains everything. She set our cabana up with towels and she also explained the flowers that adorn your lovely resort. She checked in with us several times. She definitely deserves five stars! The shower was so very nice. The toilet was an older, shorter model. Daily room service was excellent. The sheets were crisp every day.

This hotel would be awesome if they would pay attention to a few details and fix a few things. First, the location is great. There are two pools, one is adults only. Not sure what qualifies as adult, but probably not 12. In 4 days, there isn’t anyone policing the rules in either pool. There is a “no speaker” rule, but they allowed some guy to roll in like he was bringing the party and that all guests would therefore enjoy what he was enjoying it. No one wants to be a Karen….but then again, no one wants their peaceful Hawaiian vacation disrupted by a total inconsiderate douche. After a gentle: Oh gosh, we thought speakers weren’t allowed. We’d love to bring ours tomorrow!!” The pool staff got the hint. There’s also no outside food allowed: another rule ignored. If you’re going to ignore the rule, just abolish it. We had a nice Junior suite, corner room, ocean view. The windows facing the ocean had some weird film that made what is undoubtedly a beautiful view blurry. The bright spot of the trip was Rainbow, the pool attendant for the adult pool, who did a fabulous job attending the guests. There are also lots of kid friendly activities on the kid-friendly pool deck: pool, corn hole, shuffleboard, etc.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you definitely won't be disappointed. What a great place for a getaway. The ocean views are so incredible! Service throughout has been exceptional. Take some time to spend time at the pool and reserve a cabana for a day. The fire tables at night with the tiki’s around make for a peaceful way to end the evening.

Just got back from 10 glorious days staying at the Waikiki Beach Marriott and Spa. It was our first trip to Oahu, and the location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to Diamond Head as well as up and down Waikiki Beach to do all the fun stuff that area has to offer! We rented a car for 3 days and toured the island, which I would highly recommend because the island is so beautiful in so many different ways. We had exceptional service working with the pool attendant Rainbow…she was so nice helping us get our pool cabana for one of the days. The entire staff was very nice and very professional. It was wonderful having a deck. We had our coffee out there every morning…looking one way was the beach and the other was the mountains. Incredible views!!!

I had the pleasure of being served by Rainbow, a kind and attentive female attendant at the pool and bar area of the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort. Rainbow's exceptional service made my stay even more enjoyable. She was not only professional but also incredibly warm and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Rainbow went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was top-notch, and her cheerful personality was a ray of sunshine by the pool. I would highly recommend a visit to the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort and, in particular, spending time at the pool and bar area with Rainbow's exceptional service. She truly made my stay memorable.

The service was excellent especially at the pool. I want to thank Rainbow (Pool Server) for being so kind and helpful to my family. She went over and above to make us feel welcome.

I arrived excited to sit on the deck, enjoying the beautiful view of Waikiki from our “Premium Ocean View” room. What was described as “magnificent views of the Ocean from the balcony” turned out to be views straight into the neighboring hotel. After inquiring at the desk (which I despise having to do), I was told the “Ocean Front” rooms are the rooms that actually have an ocean view from the Kealohilani Tower. After paying in full for the reservation over 6 months in advance for savings, I overlooked the additional $50/day resort fee. This is a mandatory fee for staying at the resort buried in the fine print to make the advertised rates cheaper. While I didn’t drive a car, a friend did and the parking rates are exorbitant. All being said, the resort was otherwise great. The location is right in the heart of Waikiki. The Italian restaurant downstairs is amazing (try the carbonara). The pools are a bit small and underwhelming, but the pool side service is good and the beach is directly across the street. Rainbow at the pool deck was especially amazing. She went far and beyond to take care of us. Give Rainbow a raise!

The breakfast here was great along with the service! Two convenient ABC stores within the hotel along with a Starbucks. Got upgraded to an ocean view. The room was on a high floor - spacious with a fridge and balcony. You can see the Friday fireworks from the hotel and daily sunsets. The Strawberry/Banana smoothies are a must. If you’re a bonvoy member remember to get your daily complimentary chair for the beach. The reception staff was very welcoming and bartenders were very friendly.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Not only are the rooms very cleanly but the staff are always so sweet and helpful. I also love the location of this hotel compared to others in Waikiki as it is near the end of the strip but still close enough to be in walking distance to most food and activities. In addition the guest experience representatives do a great job at emailing prior to your stay to ensure all is in order and providing great recommendations for food/activities when you ask, especially Hailey Thiim. I would definitely come back to this location whenever I am in Oahu!

Came here for the first part of our honeymoon and this place did not disappoint, The staff were fantastic and really made it feel special for us, We had a room on the 33rd floor with views over the ocean. They gave us a lovely welcome gift to celebrate our wedding. Such an amazing location too. Right on the beach front. Great adults only pool with hot tubs open until 10pm with great bar service. ABC store and Starbucks in the lobby really helped too.

We were on our honeymoon and from check-in to the time we left they treated us like we were important. At check-in they provided us with a traditional Hawaiian leis and welcomed us to Hawaii. The next day we came back from our adventure to find a personal gift basket from the hotel staff honoring our honeymoon and congratulating us on our wedding. The concierge was helpful in giving us ideas on places to visit and places to eat. The location was perfect. If you are ever going to Waikiki I would highly recommend the Marriott Waikiki.

We came for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Front office staffs were very pleasant, check in/out was smooth and housekeeping was always on time. Restaurant food and live music were amazing! We particularly would like to compliment the Pool Attendant - “Ms. Rainbow” who was very nice and friendly, she was super attentive, helpful and made us feel very welcomed. She gave us many great recommendations on the hotel restaurants/activities/events, and also when she found out we were there on our anniversary she arranged for a nice bottle of Champagne and gifts sent to our room. Having had worked in 5* hotel chain all my life I know it is dedication like hers that makes a difference. Thanks again and we hope the management pass this compliment onto Rainbow!

We love this hotel. We got an amazing room with ocean view which is wonderful to see the sunset. AC works well, we like it cold. The staff is so kind and breakfast is very convenient, though not as great if continental which we had due to Marriott status. But kids 4 and under eat free. We love the beach across the street, so convenient and great for young kids. Make sure to checkout the resort activities as well, we enjoyed a number of them like the free Mai Tai and painting the sunset.

This was our first visit to Hawaii and we decided to book with Wakiki beach resort after viewing their packages online. We got the ocean view room with balcony and were extremely excited to wake up every morning to the beach views from our window, but unfortunately the room we received had a side view of the ocean and the rest was city view. I wouldn’t have minded having a side view of the ocean if that was what was promoted online and while the rooms are beautiful inside it does not compensate for the lack of scenery. We spoke with the front desk staff and was informed that the room we got was what was advertised and if we wanted a better view of the beach then we should’ve booked the premium ocean view room. The premium ocean view uses the same marketing images as the regular ocean view, so for the average consumer it is practically impossible to tell the difference. This was a downer on our first Hawaiian vacation I would recommend for any traveler to look elsewhere before booking at the wakiki beach resort as the location is not ideal and the staff fails to go above and beyond for their guests.

We enjoyed our stay here for our anniversary, the adults only pool was appreciated, we could relax by the pool and not have the sounds of kids playing. They have another pool for that. The room was nice, nothing special, a bit on the small side. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The location is good, within walking distance from everything along Waikiki. If you don’t want to wait in line for coffee at one of the two Starbucks on site be there right when they open or go later in the day. Would recommend staying here.

Beautiful beach and sunset! The hotel was very helpful in upgrading me to a corner suite in the K tower overlooking the ocean. I love the balcony because it offers a beach feeling without actually going to the beach and brave the crowds. I also liked that they are environmentally friendly and provided bonus water bottles and several stations to fill out water. I would definitely come back to visit again.

My husband & I came to stay at the Waikiki Marriott resort for our honeymoon. We are blown away with how generous and extremely welcoming/friendly the whole resort was. Our favorite part of our stay was our interactions with the pool staff, Rainbow. She went above and beyond for us to join activities, gave recommendations and surprised me with a gift basket sent to our room on my birthday. Because of Rainbow, this hotel truly is outstanding. Also the servers at the pool were so kind and quick! We would order drinks/food and it would be out within 10 minutes. We had so much fun! We will be back.

Friendly staff especially Ron. Great view of the mountain and ocean. We were in a family suite. The beds are comfortable. The room was clean. Great location for food and beach access. The hotel offers hydration stations. If it's hot you will utilize them frequently. Sign up for the hotel activities early. The spots are limited. I loved how we could check out movies like Red Box.

It's nice, but as someone who is no stranger to spending money, I just can't get over the seemingly continuous lack of value. Breakfast for two (eggs) + a bowl of oatmeal for $77.00 seems a bit steep. That being said, rooms are clean and the staff is great. There's just a seeming miss when it comes to culture, decor, and Hawaiian vibe. It's Waikiki beach; it should feel like Hawaii. It just doesn't. The service is good. The place is clean, but it's sterile and without a doubt; overpriced.
