The hotel is in a bad condition. The stuff is very unfriendly and does not understand what you want. The „continental breakfast“ is only 2-3 bacon‘s, rice, a little bit egg and 1 orange juice, tea or coffee. The rooms are clean, but very loud (because of the AC). The WiFi is slow. The AC‘s drop the water on the balcony. From there the water falls down of the balcony. Because of that the car gets wet if you park it under the hotel or you get wet if you walk under the hotel. The parking fee is $25 per day.

It was the worst Hotel experience, I’ve ever had. I stayed there for 7 days. First the pictures you see on the website our not nothing when you see it in person. I tried to get another hotel everything was sold out. I never received any room service, I asked the front desk if someone could come to my room no one ever came. Nothing worked microwave, toaster, Remote control to the TV , window shades, couldn’t even open the door to be out in the balcony. The beds were very fun comfortable. Save your money. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Stayed in room 805 and had my health put at risk from mold from the window AC unit. I told the front desk and the housekeeper came by and lazily wiped the area underneath the window unit. There was still mold on the ledge outside the window so the mold still blew onto one of the beds in my room for the rest of my stay. Maintenance came in and temporarily removed the window unit only for the housekeeper to do a lazy job of wiping down the area directly underneath the window unit. The house keeper put the water from the AC unit in a bucket and poured the excess water into the kitchen sink over my food containers. The owners could care less about the health and safety of patrons. Otherwise, they would never rent rooms with mold in them to customers. Management does not care about the well-being of customers and that disregard is shown with the lack of care housekeeping and maintenance shows to customer and maintenance . The only reason housekeeping and maintenance get to act the way they did towards me is because of poor leadership. The TV cable connection was awful. The cable stations appeared to be stolen because the picture wasn’t clear at all. There were constant lines across the TV screen. I was there for business and the front desk asked intrusive questions about whether I worked day or night shift or if I was off for the day. That made me me uncomfortable. I like to come and go as I please and not have to disclose my personal work schedule. The lights in the kitchen flickered and only worked some of the time even after maintenance came in to fix them. I requested fitted sheets and was told by the housekeeper the hotel didn’t carry fitted sheets. That was odd. The first picture shows the mold underneath the window unit and the rest of the pics are of the mold I had to breath in for weeks on end. I removed and replaced the bedding for the bed closest to the window unit multiple times, but I constantly had to deal with new debris/mold falling onto the bed. I was so tired from work I didn’t even bother to move because all my belongings were already moved in.

Good location at reasonable prices. That is the only good thing about it. They charge additional resort fees but offer virtually no services. They clean the room only after 5 days. This is NOT mentioned anywhere in the hotel website. They don't even take out the garbage. Told to place the garbage in front of the room door. They were not picked up for almost 48 hours. The only edible items available anywhere in the facility were coffee (no milk offered) and a water machine. Wouldn't recommend it.

My first look in the hotel was a bad one. Air conditioning was way too loud, couldn't sleep. I had to keep it on because it was too hot. The shower was also quite small, similar to the one you would see on a cruise. However as I stayed the place grew better. You could freely ask for towels and stuff like that and they usually gave it to you quickly. There was free coffee and tea and also tap water you could fill your bottle with. Me as someone who cares for the environment really appreciated this over buying plastic bottles at Costco. Also the view from the top floors was spectacular, day and night. And sometimes when there's fireworks at night, you can easily view it from your balcony or outside. Overall I would say this is the hotel to go if you're willing to give up some comfort for cheap costs.

Very poor. There’s mold on the ceiling above the AC and in the bathroom. The window door doesn’t close (the lock is broken) and there’s weird sound coming from the window door while the wind is blowing. I couldn’t sleep every single night because of the sound. The room light cannot be turned on because it’s broken. The amenities fee is $30 per day. I told them I don’t need anything on the list of amenities and they still forced me to pay that. Parking is $39 per day. Very dissatisfied from this experience. Will not come back to this hotel again.

I cannot give more than 3 stars because it is clearly not a 4 neither a 5 BUT I would stay there again . This is not the cleanest hotel , this is not the more recent either but everything you need is there . Staff is friendly . Pool is good and the location of the hotel is really great. For the price , that is worth it and if I go back to waikiki , I will definitely stay there again . Thank you 🙂 ( we had room 905 with the kitchen )

1 star feels too many, we were greeted by a cockroach in our bathroom, the kitchen that we paid extra to have was essentially unusable due to the mould, it sounded like we were sleeping on a plane thanks to the doors inability to fully close. Pictures do not to this place justice because you cannot take a picture of a smell.

Since I arrived I had a bad experience. First they had to charge me $35 for parking and they charged me $39. Then they charged me two deposits. I bought two rooms for 4 adults and two children. But the room is only prepared for 2 people. They don't do room service until you check out. The rooms are dirty, the walls dirty, the furniture broken and deteriorated. And they treat you with a very bad disposition. I do not recommend anyone to come. It's very bad, it's service. I took pictures of everything to prove what I say. They want to refund my money so I can go to another hotel. But the money is not made effective for another week.

The billing is not very clear cut if you do not read the fine print. It looks affordable but factor in the amenity fee and parking and you can get a nicer room in Waikiki without the hassle of getting parking from them. We were told there was no parking after complaining to the front desk that we been driving around for over an hour she got us parking in the employee area. The rooms were clean even though it is an older hotel it was ok and not an issue. The main issue is parking and making sure to read the fine print of amenity fees even though you do not use the pool etc will make your final bill increase (not just room price and tax). I remember this hotel in the 90's it had its good days.

I would say the hotel room is totally opposite to the pictures. The room was not good, it was too dark and had smell of dust in pillow and bed. It looks more like a haunted place to me. It was noisy too. The lift was not good it takes forever to come. The breakfast option is fixed so you can't change it. On the other hand I would rate the location as 5/5. The discount for activities are so good like $25 off if you book from their lobby. The manager is super awesome and for that reason I am very thankful to him. My husband got sick a night before our check out and was hospitalized and we could not get back to do the check out. I informed him about it and for that he did not charge us any extra amount and even helped us moving our luggage from Ambassador to Holidayinn Express. It was such a humble act from him. Only took two pictures from outside.

Not the nicest hotel out there, but probably not the worst. It's in need of updating. Our room has painted cinder block walls, new looking carpet, adequate beds, 1980s beach style table and chairs and dresser, a kitchenette area with stove and microwave but no coffee maker, a bathroom with rust in places on the wall, a closet with a safe, and a balcony. No sign of bugs. Everything is clean. It's pretty cheap. A few things I thought were interesting: The ironing board has the iron tethered to it which makes it hard to iron. There is a convenience store and coffee and tea shop right outside the lobby. Parking is $25 a day. Amenities fee is $20 a day. Includes a water bottle. There is a hydration station in the lobby to refill your water bottle. They put carpet down the hallway that is partially exposed to the outdoors. This has left is stained and nasty looking.

Quite possibly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life. Beware of the eight separate taxes. Beware of the $45 a day plus tax amenities fee. Be aware that your Wi-Fi will not work more than it does work. Be aware that they will not clean your room if you’ve been staying there for seven days. Be aware that one of the rooms that I was put into had some “issues” on the bed which force me to be relocated. I work in the hotel industry and I want to use this rating as a warning to never stay at this hotel. Literally go right across the street to the Holiday Inn express for $90 more per night.

Due to the renovation of this hotel, they offered our union a deal to check it out from October-November. For $163, I said sure why not. I booked a king bed, city view. As part of the discount, there was no resort fee but parking would be charged at 50% off. According to my confirmation email, check-in was at 3:00 pm and check-out was at a nice 12:00 pm. I arrived at 4:17 pm and the very nice man was taking a whole lot longer than anticipated. He continuously tried to make small talk- sharing that they're short-staffed and opened without being ready. He finally admitted that he's having trouble locating a room for me. I said isn't check-in at 3pm? Which he replied it's at 4pm and it just became 4. I was confused, but it didn't matter much because it was past 4pm. He eventually asked if I'd take two queens instead of the king, I said that's fine. (It was better than waiting for a room.) As the small talk continues, without being asked, he says he'll upgrade me to an ocean view and king bed. That was very nice of him but the check-in process was much too lengthy. The rooms are pretty nicely renovated. The bed is decent and the big tv is nice. TV channel options weren't plentiful and sometimes the connection would cut out and there'd be a delay on the show. There is a small refrigerator that comes with 2 free waters, a coffee and hot water maker with coffee packets and tea bags. But there is no cream, sugar, or stirrers. Was this an oversight? The ocean view was a sliver. Thank gosh it didn't cost more to get this view. It's great to be able to control the temperature of the split AC unit but the light on the unit is so bright it keeps the room fairly lit. The ice maker is located on the 2nd floor and had I not interacted with the maintenance man, I would not have figured that out. The towels all had a TON of dust and lint on them. Seems they've been sitting in the same spot for months on end. They needed a good shake! When I went to shower, I found the plastic shower head to be broken. Water was gushing out from the bottom and barely anything was coming out from the shower head. I tried to use the room phone to call Guest Services (using the designated button on the phone) but nothing happened. I tried again and nothing. Finally I had to use my cell phone to look up the hotel's number to call from there. The man who answered my call said the Guest Services button doesn't work and they're still trying to figure that out but I can dial zero and it'll connect me to the front desk. It'd be nice if there was a note in the rooms saying that. Maintenance couldn't fix the shower head since he didn't have any extras laying around so he put a different one in its place. The shower was so weak that rinsing the shampoo out of my hair took awhile. I'm really not sure that I'd stay here again. It's location isn't the best and even though I was on the 16th floor, I could hear nearly everything around of me.

My first issue is the parking. 39$ per day. Which is fine. However, we intended to stay for 4 days and 3 nights and ended up leaving after 2 days. They just charged me for the original 3 nights stay. 122$. We only slept there for 2 nights. Also, we requested a king size room and they gave us a room with 3 twin beds.

The location of the hotel made it so we could walk to the shops and restaurants. We had a suite; it included a fridge, stove and supplies to wash dishes. It is an old hotel so don't expect all the frills. They don't serve any food and they don't give maid service unless ask. They clean the rooms when you check out. Over all it was a good experience.

Very local feeling, clean homey rooms, within walking distance of many different sites and stores. Definitely a long stay type of place. Has a kitchenette, and the couch turns into two twin beds

We stayed for 8 days and the staff was very responsive and fast. We got the kitchen, and patio with a partial ocean view for a reasonable price. The patio has big windows so you get a good amount of sunlight which I love. They do charge resort fees and parking is paid separate as well. The parking is accessible and inside the hotel so you feel safe with the parking. I feel like their bathroom needs an update because it's quite outdated. Location is great with 10 mins walk to the beach. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend to someone who is looking for a package in reasonable price.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This website will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel Waikiki for 7 days on a recent trip to Oahu. While the hotel has seen better days, it is nowhere as bad as what everyone makes it out to be. You get what you pay for and we were so glad that we got a room with 4 beds for each of the 4 people in our party. Additionally, the staff are absolutely amazing and attentive to your various needs. From the beach towels you can get at the front desk to the use of the tokens at Beach Candy at the Aston hotel to rent surfboards and other equipment, this hotel has everything we needed to enjoy a great trip. To top it all off, the location is amazing being a 10-15 minute walk from everything in Waikiki

Okay experience. You get what you pay for. If you're just looking for a place to crash and store your stuff while exploring the island, it's a good option. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, you should look elsewhere, and you will pay much more money. + Affordable compared to other options. One of the cheapest places to stay in Waikiki. + Decent area, plenty to do nearby. + Kitchenette was nice, saved some money on food during our visit. + Pool, exercise room, and beach towels. + Staff was friendly and helped out with some things. - Hidden resort fees are $30 per day, account for that while booking. - Parking is $35 per day. - Mold in the AC unit. Pretty gross.

This hotel was great for the price. It was a little outdated but we knew it would be, after the first day I learned the whole area was which was totally okay since we were never really in the hotel. The front desk personnel were AMAZING! They upgraded our room, helped with suggestions and anything we needed. Only downside was no airport shuttle, besides that it was a great experience, right downtown and a great price. We'd come back!
