Excellent!! I had an absolutely fantastic stay during my five days at this Hyatt. The valet was always quick, and the staff were genuinely friendly and conversational. I requested a room with a better view at check-in, and the on-site manager immediately came over, searched for available rooms, and put me in a room with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. The room was super nice, and hotel provides optional everyday cleaning. The shower is essentially a high pressure car wash, making you feel like a brand new, cleansed person stepping out. The lobby and splash pool is a nice place to lounge and eat carryout. Location is also ideal and <8 min walk to Waikiki beach with plenty of eateries to choose from. I seldom give 5 star ratings, but this Hyatt rightfully earns it. I highly recommend and will def stay here again for future vacations to Oahu! Mahalo.

My recent stay at Hyatt Centric Waikiki was an experience of exceptional comfort and unbeatable convenience. Perfectly positioned in the heart of Honolulu, the hotel is a gateway to the city's top eateries and shopping destinations, offering a truly effortless Hawaiian urban adventure. Adding to its charm, the idyllic Waikiki Beach is just a quick, six-minute stroll away. The hotel enhances the beach experience by offering complimentary beach umbrellas, chairs, and boogie boards. This thoughtful gesture removed any hassle from my beach days, allowing me to fully immerse myself in sun-soaked relaxation. Special kudos to the staff for their unfailing friendliness and professionalism. Their local insights and readiness to assist added a personal touch to my stay, capturing the true spirit of Hawaiian hospitality. In essence, this hotel masterfully intertwines prime location, exemplary service, and thoughtful beachside perks, making it an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a comprehensive Honolulu experience. Highly recommended!

Stayed at Hyatt Centric Waikiki for 7 days. We arrived a little early for check in but the concierge gladly held our luggage for a couple of hours while me and my wife had some lunch. The staff is awesome, anything we needed help with they gladly assisted with. 2 very minor gripes, 1.) the room was 30min late from when it was supposed to be ready upon check in (not a huge deal, we were stuffing ourselves with great food). 2.) the pool is not a pool, it’s a splash pad lol. But with the beach 5 min away so who really cares. And the jacuzzi kinda makes up for it. We stayed in a suite, the room was huge, modern, and clean. The entire hotel smells great and looks extremely well taken care of. The hotel location is top notch for Waikiki. Great food all around, great shopping, and extremely beach accessible. The in-hotel restaurant was closed which was a bummer and so was the bar but there are so many restaurants and bars around that it hardly makes a difference. It just makes the lobby feel awkwardly quiet sometimes lol. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely would stay again if I’m staying in the south side of the island again. Don’t hesitate to book!

I'm staying here as part of a military agreement and the staff is very friendly and answered all my questions. The room is extremely clean and elegant with a beautiful room. Amazing shower and comfortable beds. Very short walk to the beach and stores everywhere for anything you need. This was a great choice! Thank you so much for giving me a wonderful place to stay while I wait for housing. Just be aware parking is about $42 dollars a night.

We loved our stay here. The staff and the managers are beyond exceptional. The rooms are large, great for groups of family and couples. The rooms are clean and the hotel smells wonderful. We stayed for 2 1/2 days here. They accommodated everything I needed specially when it came to extending my stay. They will provide you with everything you need at the beach towels , umbrellas etc. You can even borrow a go pro for your day adventures.

Average hotel but with great staff. The hotel is located very close to Waikiki’s main area and bus stops to get you around. Clean rooms although you can hear outside noise which was disturbing from about 5a.m. However they charge resort fees of almost $40 a day with taxes. We were not aware of that. It’s nothing short of a rip off, although more and more hotels are stinging customers in this way. The pool is not a pool. It is about 6 inches deep. They call it a splash pool but you’d be hard to create a splash in it! The restaurants are closed which we were not aware of. So apart from coffee in the room you’ve no chance of eating on site. Overall a decent enough hotel for location and with great staff but that’s as good as it gets.

This hotel is situated perfectly in the Wikiki area. It is close to the beach and it is conveniently located right next to the International Market mall. Restaurants around everywhere. Nice, quiet, clean rooms. House cleaning is excellent. There is an area dedicated to folks who have to plug in to their work life from time to time. Overnight parking is around $50. You can do some research to find cheaper parking around. I personally parked at Banyan ($30) and it was about 10m walk. Hotel provides for free beach gears - floats/umbrella/chair/towel/etc. I've stayed at other Hyatt Centric properties and this one is on par w/ your expectations. it's about 2-3 block walk to the beach and this isn't a beach front property, but i think this is much better as it's less crowded and you have access to shopping areas around. In terms of the staff here, they are very kind and listening. i had pleasant initial contact and i think the less you have to reach out to them the better as everything is well designed for you here.

Perfect location, centrally located with lots of things to see and do within walking distance. Super dog friendly which is always a plus for me. The staff was beyond welcoming and friendly. Spacious and comfortable room and the pool/jacuzzi is amazing! I was very satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back. Thank you!

Once we arrived we were welcomed by the very nice Valet people, they took our bags while we checked in and delivered them to the room immediately. The hotel smelled amazing and every single employee was amazing. One example of the excellent guest service we received was when my friend left some clothes on the bed, and while we were gone our maid neatly folded the clothes. Any time we were out and about the hotel the staff always welcomed us and made sure everything was up to our standards. I'm very pleased to have stayed here and would stay again, the guest service was unbelievable and unmatched.

The hotel location is great, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the staff is overall nice... however a few issues plagued our stay and would prevent me from coming back. By far the biggest issue was the shower. Our shower barely heat up (the mechanic and desk staff told us to run the hot water tab + shower for at least 10 minutes before every shower... like... seriously?) and the water pressure was so low that you could barely clean yourself. Next to that we got a room closest to the elevators (like... next to it) which meant we could hear the elevator beeps and people chatting all the way through the night. I wish we would have gotten a better room, but instead they waived 1 night of resort fees. Not really generous when you stay for a week and are told to waste 10 minutes of water before every shower you take...

Gorgeous hotel with pristine rooms, friendly staff and a bunch of included amenities baked into the resort fee. For the first time ever I don’t feel like a resort fee is ripping me off. I heard great things about this hotel but even the rave reviews don’t do it justice. It’s in a fantastic part of town, breathtaking views, and everything is totally modern. You will not regret one minute in this hotel.

The Deluxe Room with 1 King Bed is where we stayed. The city view was breathtaking. Tiara checked us in and was really hospitable. While we were there, she helped us and responded to all of our questions. The bathroom and bedroom are neat and organized. The entire team is super friendly and radiates incredible energy. The majority of restaurants are accessible by foot.

We stayed here for the first 5 days of our Hawai’i holiday. The customer service was fantastic and the rooms were great! So clean and modern. Where this hotel misses the mark is (1) no functioning restaurant or bar; (2) the pool area is blustery (my flip flops almost blew away) and lacks any real atmosphere; and (3) the common areas lack any character. The service was redeeming. The guys handing out towels and beach chairs were top notch!

This is a modern and well maintained hotel is in the center if waikiki and us close to everything. All staff are very friendly and helpful, housekeeping staff are doing a consistently good job. The only disappointment is the pool area, it's so shallow not even enough to dip my feet. Even the hot tub us only luke warm and knee deep.

Our 6 day’s stay in this hotel was amazing. First of all, the staff were super friendly and helpful. They always responded our request very quickly. The room was very clean. The lobby was very useful with dinning tables and microwave. My 5 year old daughter loved their swimming pool very much. It’s shallow for adults, but for the toddlers it’s perfect. You can borrow chairs, beach towel, umbrella, boogie board, kids sand toy from the hotel for free. The location was perfect with walking distance to the beach, many restaurants, DFS, shopping malls……The bus stop was in front of the hotel with buses to most of the tourist attractions. It’s a very satisfied experience with this hotel.

We stayed for a week. It was an overall great experience. Pros: The staff is beyond in customer service. Every staff member we came across was genuinely inviting and kind. They were easily the best part of the stay. Great location, there is a lot of shopping and dining in the immediate area. There's a Starbucks reserve that is accessible from the 1st floor which was very convenient. It's also less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. You can borrow towels, chairs etc from the concierge downstairs. The rooms are pretty and modern, especially if you get an ocean view room. They are well cleaned, and housekeeping does amazing at keeping them refreshed. Cons: The bathroom design is very strange, I didn't like it. The bathroom has a slide door with no lock. The shower has glass doors (which I like) but one of the walls of the shower is a nearly floor to ceiling window, it does have a shade but the shade is adjusted OUTSIDE the bathroom. If you're staying with friends they could open the shade at will while you're in there. Since there is glass doors in the shower you can see all the way to the toilet from the window. For a private place, there's little privacy. The parking isn't great. It's $42/day which is ok, pretty standard in the area. But you have to park at the top levels of the parking structure which is hard in a larger vehicle as the path to the top is quite narrow. You can tell a lot of people scrape their vehicles on the way up from the marks on the walls. We did get used to it by the end but it took us about 15 minutes getting up the first try. The pool (or "splash lounge") was disappointing. We didn't look into it before booking, but the pool/"wading pool" at its deepest is a little over 14" deep. We weren't expecting that and other people were confused as well. The hot tub had better depth but it definitely could have been hotter. Overall we enjoyed out stay!

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about staying here. However, the rooms are beautiful, in great condition, and more appointed with amenities than other Centric hotels I have stayed. They do not yet have on-site F&B facilities, and I do think they should alert guests about that in advance of their arrival, however a 1,000 point bonus isn’t bad. First property I’ve also stayed with Hyatt to ALSO offer complimentary valet parking in addition to self parking on award stays. The hotel is in a great spot in Waikiki and I’m very glad I stayed here! I definitely would again. The staff made me feel very welcome.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is wonderful. The only issue is the restaurant has been closed and no one knows when it will reopen. Also the pool is quite small. But I would def recommend this hotel, the rooms are modern clean and bright.

Ocean view was worth it, it’s not on the beach but it’s so close less than 10min, no pool (the pictures of the pool don’t show the depth, it’s less than 1 feet in the middle and less than 3 feet for hot tub and remainder of the swimming area. So Great for kids but leavers much to desire for adults) good food and shopping near by. Service was great and timely for Bluetooth on TV, cleaning of room, etc.

Great hotel, our ocean view suite was spacious and quiet. Also requested a beta fish (loved this) to be our roommate for our stay, Would stay here again for our next visit.

A very clean, updated hotel right in the middle of all the action. We had a suite with 2 queen beds+pull out couch and the room was huge! More than enough room for our family of 5. Parking was conveniently right inside the building then take the elevator to your floor. Starbucks is down on the ground level and SO many food options within walking distance. Seriously, you can find anything you want within a 5-10 min walk. The only negative I can think of is that the pool is just not for kids. It’s very shallow, more for adults who want to hangout or maybe toddlers.

Really nice spot in the center of town, with a fun modern vibe. We stayed in one of the suites with ocean view, and loved the setup, including the deep soaking tub. Service was absolutely top-notch - notable for a mid-tier hotel such as this one. (particularly the housekeeping staff, especially cheerful and efficient Lea who took great care of our room). Clean, quiet, and comfortable - and walking distance to many great things. What you give up in terms of direct beach access you gain in immediate access to all the great locals' spots on Kuhio.I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is gorgeous! Love the updated and contemporary feel and look throughout! First time staying at this Hyatt and I will definitely be back! Only a few minute walk to the ocean. Employees were super helpful and friendly and hooked us up with an upgrade and gorgeous bathroom. If you find this review helpful, please like this comment and follow me!! Mahalo!!~

I never feel like I'm able to fully relax in hotels because of the cleanliness. But, while I stayed at the Hyatt Centric, I felt relaxed, slept great in those comfy beds and didn't have to be nervous about looking at and using a nasty bathroom. This hotel is newer than most hotels in Waikiki with updated bathrooms. My family and I stayed in the ocean view suite (bathroom w/tub) and the mountain view suite which had AWESOME views! The mountain view suite does not have a bathtub, just walk-in shower. Can't go wrong with either suite though.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The service people were extremely warm and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend the ocean side rooms, the view was incredible! The cleaning lady was also extremely warm and patient with our schedule. We enjoy the free towels and beach chairs at the hotel entrance as well as the couches in lounge area. The location was great, I found out that I enjoyed being slightly removed from the beach. It was less sandy and windy + It was more convenient to visit the shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms very very nicely decorated, really enjoyed the interior design. There is an attached parking garage with self-parking + valet parking. It’s $42 for self parking and $50 for valet. I think this is normal for the area. Overall I had a great time! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family! By the way I wasn’t paid for this review, these are my genuine opinions and thoughts. Mahalo!

We had a great visit at this hotel. Many hotels in Honolulu are aging and look broken down. That is not the case here. Everything was clean and updated. The lobby is accommodating and has plenty of lounge furniture to relax in or space to eat, work etc. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Plenty big as well. Has a large flat screen TV with all the modern smart TV features including Chromecast! We did have a couple of issues with refrigerator and plumbing, but they were resolved quickly, and the staff was very accommodating and concerned that we were as comfortable as possible. Speaking of service, the staff members here are some of the most friendly, helpful, courteous, professional, and personable people of any hotel I've stayed at. They were so nice to us, and could provide any information we needed about Honolulu and local places of interest. They also played with and fawned over our 10 month old daughter and made her feel very special. I mean we almost want to come back every year just so they can watch her grow. The pool is unique. It's not a deep lap swimming pool. But more shallow and designed for lounging in (or out of) the water. It was absolutely perfect for us, and our daughter quite possibly had the best time of her life in the pool. The other amenities are also great. It feels like they thought of everything we could need and made it available to us. The location is perfect for Waikiki. It's within walking distance to anything you could be visiting Waikiki to do. Tons of nearby restaurants, upscale and regular shopping, as well as souvenir shops and other activities. Very close, easy walk, to the beach. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say this hotel is appropriate for families, couples, single people, travel groups, you name it. Highly, highly recommend Hyatt Centric in Waikiki.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it. Hubby and I enjoyed our stay! Shower was not the cleanest but otherwise, fine. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! We would definitely stay again with no hesitation! We felt extremely safe staying there! Thank you

Our group stayed here for vacation with 4 rooms and 7 nights. Each room was clean and service was prompt. The parking is owned by a separate company so prepare for tight turns and a bit expensive rate. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The lobby is cool and the pool area is fun albeit a bit small. Location is very central and if you can a higher floor, the views are wonderful. Highly recommended over some of hawaiis aging hotel stock.

  • 2/5 Mythili V. 2 years ago on Google
Generally, Hyatt is good but Hyatt Centric is barely ok. The hotel finds a way to charge every single thing - a towel you might borrow, a reusable water bottle - the sad part is, there are all mandatory fees and hidden until you check out. Be aware, they add in $33/night called as the “resort fee” irrespective of whether you use any of their amenities or not. Subpar toiletries, no room service and overall - extremely underwhelming. The only pro - the bathroom shower is great! Do yourself a favor - find a better Hyatt or a better hotel. If you can’t find anything else, come here.

  • 5/5 Brian L. 2 years ago on Google
Clean and spacious room. The staff was friendly when we checked in and explained clearly what the amenities were and how to access them. The location is great: right next to international market where a lot of good restaurants are in walking distance, and not too far away from the beach. Speaking of the beach, the hotel also provides free rental for GoPro, beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas, which is pretty generous.

  • 4/5 Maureen M. 1 year ago on Google
Sweet location in the center of everything (hence the 'Centric'). The windows were great, and especially loved the round vista to the city. There was a Starbucks feet from the elevator which made morning coffee simple. The room we had was at the end of the hall so private and quiet. Did visit the pool area but didn't spend much time since there was so much to do out in the world. Housekeeping attentive and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our favourite hotel in Waikiki. We are huge Hyatt fans and this one has never let us down. Perfectly located in the middle. We've stayed on the higher floors both times and love the views. The rooms are modern and of a great size. Pool area and terrace is really nice. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Loved the little water bottles which we were able to take back home with us to remind us of our wonderful times. We've stayed at a few others over the years and twice at the Hyatt Centric. Due to covid we haven't been to the US since 2020 just before the pandemic took hold. We are planning to resume US travel and looking forward to seeing our friends in Hawaii.

This review is long overdue! I had the pleasure of staying here at the end of March for 4 nights. This place is hospitality done right! I feel like the staff is genuinely caring and very approachable. Every encounter with any staff member was incredibly pleasant, front desk, concierge, bell, housekeeping, even the manager, Daniel, had reached out to me prior to my stay to check-in before my travel day was approaching. My room was amazing! Great view, great size, very clean and well maintained. There is a resort fee but it goes a long way. I took advantage of the resort fee by using the gym, took a professional yoga class, and they provide beach towels/umbrellas/boogie boards/ for the beach- which is short walking distance passing all of the nice shops. They even give you these really cool Hyatt branded reusable bottles (to fill with water or your favorite drink). They made a great souvenir. My first Hyatt stay and definitely won’t be my last. Thank you Daniel & team for the hospitality and making my first trip to the Islands so memorable! I will definitely be back!
