Check-in was a breeze. The room is was tiny little shoebox of a room. But who cares when the view looks like this!!! Located smack dab in the middle of Waikiki Beach, you can walk everywhere up & down the Blvd to enjoy meals, entertainment, strolls on the beach, etc. Can rent surfboards downstairs. The hotel has a full breakfast restaurant downstairs making it east to breakfast on your balcony over one of most glorious beaches in the world!

The location is good. The beach part is not nice and overcrowded. Reception guys are friendly. But rooms are very outdated and you don’t have a sense of good care. One of our rooms on the 3d floor was very filthy and and warn out. We asked for a king bed instead of two beds and were charged $35 more for each night. Way overpriced for the quality they offer. We had to stay here on the way back from another island but canceled our stay at this hotel. Regret that we didn’t move out right away.

Across from the beach is the only positive, but make sure your ready for $300 in hidden fees at the end of your stay. If you are staying because your company booked this hotel for you get ready to pay for amenities like wifi, cheap plastic water bottles, a safe in your room DVDs you'll never rent, Luke warm water, bugs and a rude experience at the front desk. I wish there was more bad things I could say about my visit in the tiniest room I've stayed in not at all worth the money they charge per room!

Hotel room was clean and small however they are honest about this being a small room hotel. The hotel front desk and maintenance staff were helpful/respectful. Calling to resolve billing questions led to to “management” that was very short and not helpful. Refrigerator did not work upon arrival. Maintenance changed it immediately but the replacement wasn’t getting cold enough to refrigerate. An iron and iron board was brought to the room, they gave me a sheet with the board because it was dirty. The iron was bolted/wire tied to the iron board making it difficult to use. The sink water got hot, maintenance staff was quick to “try” to help got it up to a lukewarm at its best. It was obvious that the shower flow setting was adjusted to provide low a low flow of hot water which could have been corrected with a screwdriver. The television works but shuts off randomly. I elected to moved to Hilton Doubletree rather than beg for basic necessities. Has potential and staff to become a decent economy hotel. The management would need to make minor investments to enable their helpful staff to deliver the quality potential. Great hotel for folks looking to get some beach action and aren’t worried about hot water and working appliances.

Ocean front room- The good: it’s literally across from the beach! The location was great & the staff were very nice. The lanai doors open all the way, so you get kind of a panoramic view… The bad: No lobby, there is a bench out front to sit at, right next to the smoking. The rooms are VERY Very small. You can barely fit three in the room. Hardly enough room to close the door in the bathroom, which wouldn't have been bad if it didn’t radiate sour shower curtain smell. Even though they advertise “next level clean”. There was mold in in and around the ac unit (I know it’s Hawaii, I understand that, but should at least try to clean it). No shell lei, no tickets to museums, you are literally paying $25 a night resort fees for the newspaper & the WORST thing, is on day 2 we get a $350 charge for our 3rd person, our son. NO MENTION OF AN ADDITIONAL $COST$ FOR A 3rd person (I searched the site) and for the price we ended up paying we could have stayed some where MUCH nicer. And heads up, no pool. We were thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal cause it was going to be so cheap, but with the addition charge, not worth it.

Not the fanciest hotel in Waikiki..but this establishment is one of the best bang for you buck and has one of the best ocean views of the beach. It's right smack in the middle of the city so everything is walking distance. Across the street from Duke's statue. ABC store just downstairs off the building, and an Egg n Things breakfast place (that's always packed) just off the front desk. The rooms are small, but clean, updated, and adequate...it has a fridge, coffee maker, but no microwave. We didn't really mind because we spend our time outside enjoying Oahu anyway. What this hotel makes up for and definitely makes it worth it is the perfect ocean view you'll get (if you get the ocean front rooms). Parking can be troublesome if you have a rental car because it is very limited, although they have additional parking that's about 2 blocks away from a sister company. We lucked out and got parking in the building. The host, Shawn, is one of the nicest you'll meet. Very hospitable and very helpful. The staff are all very nice as well. They have a wall with pictures and history of the hotel by the front desk...I recommend you read (or at least browse through it). It gives you an appreciation of the hotel and its owner. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

You can't ask for a better location in Waikiki. The rooms are...adequate...but the views are amazing, and you shouldn't be spending that much time in your room anyway, right? Eggs 'n Things is also right downstairs for those early mornings when the kids wake you up at 6 a.m. because you're on California time. Borrow towels from the front desk for the beach and drop them off all wet and sand when you're done. Great hotel if you don't need anything fancy and just want to enjoy one of the best places on earth all up close and personal.

The hotel is great for its location but the rooms and bathrooms are way too small. The redeeming factor was house keeping and the cleanliness. However, good luck finding parking in their garage. It was next to impossible during the NYE weekend. But that applies to all of Waikiki Beach area during peak season anyway.

Room is a bit dated, but most rooms are in Waikiki. The view was amazing! This is the view from our 'Ocean View' room on the 9th floor. The beach is right across the street. Close to all the major restaurants and bars. Yes, there is an "amenities" fee of $29 per night but most hotels have a resort fee so calulate that into the final price at check out. We didn't park a car but I think I saw it was $45 per night. Will definitely book this place again for the view!

Hotel is economical, very nice on the inside and is in the center of everything. Also Waikiki Beach is right across the street. It’s a place that I felt very comfortable and at home. If you like picture taking. One of the rooms that face the ocean maybe a little more in price; but you will never regret the sunsets, and the romantic time this hotel will give you.

It's a seaside hotel on Waikiki beach. Perfect location for ocean view. Room was not big and strange shape but clean and comfortable. For car, you have to pay for car parking lot ( There are 22 lots only). Here is very convenience for shopping and dining. A good choice hotel in Honolulu.

Great hotel for the price! You get more then you pay for! Rooms are tiny and the shower is very small with low water pressure. But other then that, this was a fantastic hotel! Great staff, it the middle of everything and steps away from the beach! Spend the extra for an ocean view! Wish there was a pool, but it’s not a resort! It’s the perfect hotel to stay at before a cruise or if you are only in town a few days.

Had a great stay. Having breakfast on the balcony was immaculate. This hotel is right in the middle of everything within walking distance. So awesome that they have baggage storage in between check in times. Cons, that the hotel can control, included: 1. No breakfast. 2. No microwaves. Having a microwave would be helpful, as some of the meals sold at the stores require them to be heated up, and the store doesn't offer that either. Cons the hotel can't control: 1. Some homelessness in surrounding areas but not directly by the hotel. 2. Can get loud at night with how busy waikiki gets.

Rooms are pretty basic but beds were comfortable and price was affordable. Wish we would have upgraded to full ocean view as the beach is right across the street. We had partial ocean view which was great when sitting out on the balcony. Everything you need is within walking distance. The guys working at reception were very nice. The cleaning staff were great as well - we only had our room cleaned once but they asked us if we needed anything everytime we'd walk by them in the hallway. Only downfall with this hotel is parking. The lot was full everyday we were there so we had to park at another Aston hotel a few blocks away which was $25 a day. Not a huge deal for us but can see how it may be an issue for some.

Great location and good value overall. The hotel is right on Waikiki beach and surrounded by stores and restaurants (there’s even a McDonalds right next to it!). Underground garage parking is very convenient ($28/day but that’s on the cheaper side compared to other hotels here). I booked an ocean view room and the view was quite spectacular (9th floor). Get a higher floor room if you can for the best views. Rooms are on the smaller side but they are clean and sufficient. The only downsides is that there’s no traditional lobby and no cable tv. They do have free dvd rental for movies you can watch in the room. There’s a mini fridge, but there wasn’t a microwave. Would stay here again, and recommend it if you’re looking for a good hotel that’s not too expensive.

Got a room on Floor 14 facing the Pacific. $400. Ridiculous. For 2 it was fine. One of the cheapest hotels! Clean. Comfy beds. Weak pillows. Great coffee pot and choices of pods. TV lousy. Couldn't watch anything! It's very dangerous to stay above the 7th floor as hook and ladder trucks can only reach to 7th. Beware. This town is one of the most expensive and backward tourists traps I've ever visited. I now in in Oahu, following my family. Hawaii in general is a poverty stricken state full of corruption with the natives suffering for lack of ability to own homes. Very sad. Just read the take over of this land. Shocking! Waikiki IS NOT WORTH WHAT IT COSTS TO STAY HERE MUCH LESS VISIT OAHU!!

I like this place. It’s a little bit rustic so look elsewhere if you’re picky. If you are more interested in location and a serviceable place to stay then this place is great. There have been recent updates to the rooms like top notch patio door hardware. Staff was very helpful.

This hotel is excellent in so many ways. You cannot beat its location, across the street from the ocean and a shower right there for cleaning off salt and sand before returning to the hotel. The rooms are not big, but the hotel is not big to begin with. That being said, they pack a lot of features into that room. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Plenty of towels. A decent size TV with a DVD player(they have a free DVD check out in the lobby that is pretty well stocked with all genres of movies). The beds are doubles and are a little firm, lots of pillows ranging from flat to big and soft; plenty of clean sheets. I think these rooms would really be improved by swapping some of the rooms to a bunk bed and a queen/king combo option for families. There is a small desk with a kuerig(multiple coffee/tea packs with condiments). A dorm fridge, 2 complimentary refillable water bottles. A small closet and safe help with storage. The deck is the highlight of the room, the patio door opens in 2 segments basically completely open the room to the deck, and WHAT A VIEW! Air conditioner works well to keep the room cool even after having the room open for a while to take advantage of the view. The deck is big enough for the 2 chairs and table, along with room for maybe a couple of people also to stand. The rooms are reasonably quiet, with the patio door shut the noise from Kalakaua Ave is not bad. We did not hear much for noise from the hotel other than doors closing(as to be expected). I cannot say the same for our neighbors as we had 3 young boys that were a chore to keep quiet but we never heard a complaint. There is a water purifier machine in the lobby that was working most of our trip. I drank water from both the tap and this machine without a problem but I do think the water from the machine had a slightly better taste. A lending library and microwave are also in the lobby. In the parking lot is a rack of sand toys, boogie boards that are there to take for the day. There are surfboards locked away so I assume that they can be rented. Parking garage is convenient and can handle a mid sized SUV. Service: We had excellent service throughout the trip. Check-in was quick and we were early, no problem we got right into our rooms. We chose to upgrade and that was smart, our new rooms were higher and more directly faced the ocean. Throughout the week, I sent our young kids down multiple times to get ice(which is available from the front desk) and DVD's without a problem. When we needed more towels, they were always right there. Getting towels for the beach was always quick. We intentionally only had our room cleaned a couple of days during our week stay and always came back to a spotless room with new towels and bedding. LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! A 2 minute walk to the beach. A breakfast restaurant right in the lobby(we did not try it because there was a waiting list from 630 am to closure every day) A McDonalds(that does an ok job of getting orders right and decent speed) and within 2 blocks excellent restaurants and food trucks. ABC stores on both sides. Also across the street is a luau that goes on the weekends and tuesday evening. Overall, it is a small hotel that is not the best, but it is well worth its price and we would not hesitate to stay there again visiting Waikiki Beach.

Great location just across the street from the beach. Food places all around, great places to check out and loads of shops just walking distance. Older building but it has a great view if you book a beach facing room, you can watch the sunset from your balcony. Rooms are small but if you only need it to sleep and shower, its the best hotel deal on Waikiki beach.

The Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is a clean, convenient, safe and very comfortable hotel. What made it 10+ stars for me is the service. The kindest, most amazing people work here. From the check in with The Goddess (yes, that’s her name and she’s FABULOUS) and Shawn, to Guada who keeps the rooms and spaces beautifully clean…I had THE BEST experience staying here. I felt very safe and comfortable staying here. I will come back again, mainly because The Goddess and Shawn are hilarious and super fun!

The hotel charges a mandatory amenity fee of USD25 plus tax. So, add it up on top of the hotel daily rate to compare with other hotels. The hotel is in a good location right across the beach.

We have visited Hawaii many times, we have stayed at a few different hotels, but keep coming back to this one. The location is perfect, central Waikiki, directly across from the beach and the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself is a little outdated, and the elevators could do with an upgrade. Besides that, we always enjoy our stay here.

  • 4/5 Laura G. 1 year ago on Google
You can’t beat the location in Waikiki, it really is the best feature of the hotel, especially given the price. The room (2 double beds) was an ok size, but the bathroom was quite small. There was and AC and mini fridge in the room. I do recommend getting the beach view room! There’s chairs on the balconies and the sunset is beautiful from there. The staff was not super friendly whenever we went to ask simple questions (like how to get to popular close by locations). There’s a DVD rental machine at the front which I honestly kind of loved and it made me nostalgic. It had all the latest movies and was included in the price. It was nice to unwind after a long day of exploring. Overall I would definitely recommend!

All-around it was a good experience. We couldn't beat the price to have an ocean-view room and be in the location of the hotel. There were many food options around and the beach being across the street made the trip easier to enjoy. The hotel room was small, but had comfortable beds, hot showers, and they give out beach towels at the desk. Eggs N Things is right out the elevator, we ordered take out and brought it back to the room (30 mins) which saved us from having to wait in line for hours. The hotel may be outdated, but for the price and location we couldn't have asked for better.

My stay was from March 11 through March 14. Great price, Great location. Very humble place. The lady at the front desk is so nice, she gave me a seashell lei. The cleaning lady was so nice. The views were amazing. I would stay here again.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, but the rooms are very small and the bathroom is tiny. Are two kids were with us and it was a tight fit. Great location but if I come back, I would probably rent something a little larger for comfort. It's OK for a couple that doesn't need as much room.

  • 4/5 Steve A. 5 months ago on Google
Cool little place. Easy to get in and out and to the beach. Rooms are a bit small but it's fine if there's just 2 people. Parking sucks though.

This place was fantastic, great location, the view was spectacular, and the staff was simply amazing! This is our type of hotel, we don’t spend a lot of time in our room but when we did it was a pleasure, what does set this place apart from the others is the staff, from “The Goddess” helping us with check in and anything else, making us feel more like family than guests to Wilma the best housekeeper hands down ever. This will be our go to hotel when staying in Waikiki, see you next visit guys and thank you so much for everything.

So glad we chose to stay at this little gem! I chose this hotel because of its location and because I wanted our experience to be a little more personal. I like older hotels rather than the newer bigger hotels. It is not a huge facility but has everything you need. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The rooms were very clean though a bit small, but this was perfect for us. There are beach towels, floaties, and surfboards available at the front desk for you to use while staying here since the ocean is right across the street. Ice, movies, and a laundry service are also available at the front desk which is open 24 hours. There is a little diner on the premises that serves breakfast and lunch. It opens at 6 am. It is still serving at half capacity so make sure you're there before they open or you may end up waiting up to 2 hours. Once you get seated it goes pretty quick. The food comes out quickly and is scrumptious! I would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Waikiki! We will be back!

Perfect location. Right across the street from the beach. Restaurants, shopping, and activities all within 5 or 10 mins of walking! Could stay here and never have to drive anywhere. They have beach towels to borrow and it was such a nice amenity! Water bottle filler too. Rooms were nice enough, nothing fancy but we got ocean view and it was worth it! Eggs and things is downstairs and we ordered takeout and ate in our room! Made breakfast so easy and relaxing that morning! They held our suitcases after we checked out too!

Disappointed how the room is to small my husband is annoyed about it. the registration is like a booth.photos are deceiving. Should do better on the doors so heavy and loud when it closes . with fee for resort and yet it is a public beach .no explanations or to offer to make your stay as comfortable as you can and lastly I booked for ocean view but got 1/3 of the view the rest are buildings. not worth the prize. not recommended.

  • 5/5 Stephen W. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed here in June 22. The rooms are clean and tidy.photos are little deceiving as the room is quite compact but you have everything you need. Eggs n things restaurant is in the lobby and well worth a visit.the location is amazing. Least than 150 ft from the beach. All rooms have a view of the beach even with the partial view was worth it. Only down side was the 26$ aday amenity fee.but it's charged everywhere.

Wonderful location across the street from Waikiki Beach, walking distance to everything. Rooms aren't fancy but are clean and all have balconies. Staff is really friendly and considering location, the price is good. No pool or hotel bar/restaurant, basically bare bones amenities, but again, you can't beat the location, staff, and price!

  • 5/5 Elizabeth S. 1 year ago on Google
I loved this hotel!! It was cute it was a bit small, but we werent really there. We got a room with a view so it was amazing and just steps to the beach. I liked that it was right in the center of everything. All the staff was so friendly and sweet. They also lend you towels for the beach and any beach equipment such as floating tubes, snorkel goggles, and more it was great, since we didn't buy an equipment. When I do return I will definitely be staying here again.

Our experience at this hotel overall was okay. Pros: friendly staff, clean, great location. Cons: Dorm sized rooms, no hot water (shower was cold-warmish, complained but staff stated there was nothing they could do. Spoke with another guest and she too stated she had no hot water). You can hear everything that happens in the hallway including guests opening and closing their doors. Our experience was alright. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again. I love a bargain but not at the expense of a hot shower! There are other inexpensive stays in Honolulu, I’d recommend shopping around.

This is one of the oldest hotels along the strip and we think one of the best. It has an interesting lay out. A circle defines the building and the rooms go around the outside of the circle and the emergency stairway is in the hub of the circle. The rooms are perfect for two or four people and the cost is very reasonable for a hotel located right on Waikiki beach. In fact the beach is across the busy street. We paid around $185per day. We stayed five days. Be aware on arrival you must provide a credit card number and the credit card is locked until you pay your bill. We did not know that and wondered why my credit card did not work. As an international visitor I am allowed only one international credit card so we had to use my wife’s credit card and did not know why mine did not work! Our room looks out over the beach and all the surfing and swimming. Also one of the wonderful events is the setting of the sun in the evening. You can watch the sun pass below the hoeizon and the street below light up.horizon. I am truly amazed at how reasonable this hotel is. The beds are very comfortable and queen size. It is centrally located and has very fine rooms with a carpeted floor and air conditioners. We did not use the AC as it was noisy but we really did not need it. The temperature is perfect in our room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because the staff were very friendly and the cleaning personnel polite and friendly. We asked for some coffee cream and she gave it to us immediately. What wonderful staff!

Great views of the beach and sunset from the rooms that face that way! Rooms are SMALL, but the price is right! Bed comfy! Tiniest bathroom ever. I stayed one night OCEANFRONT 8th floor great view for $200. Get the two bed room and four good friends and you'll be living inexpensively on Waikiki. Eggs and Things downstairs great for breakfast, go before you're hungry because 30-90 minute wait.

Affordable with very little accommodations. Parking is slim to none and sister hotel - Banyan ran out of space as well. Rooms are very small and not so comfortable. Location is awesome! Beach is literally across the street. Hotel provides towels and floaters for the beach. No pool onsite. Many food options in the surrounding area. Plenty shopping as well. Cleaning staff and some front desk staff are really sweet and nice!

It totally defeated the idea of having a relaxing vacation with the loud construction going on at the hotel. I would not recommend staying here. When I spoke to the manager he offered to take money off of our bill instead of offering other accommodations or a different room.

  • 5/5 Tasha B. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing location in Waikiki, steps from the beach and everything you need. Friendly staff. Small rooms but comfortable enough for 3 of us. We fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves every night.

  • 5/5 Satseuc A. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms are pretty small but it’s location is ideal. There is a breakfast shop right next to the lobby window. There’s a gift shop and Mc Donald’s next door. It’s walking distance to pretty much anything that interests you and only takes several minutes. The only thing I don’t like is the small restroom & no fan for its humidity. They have small flat screen TVs, a fridge, and a PS3. There is two elevators that will take you to your floor. The balcony is awesome and you could enjoy the views of the outside world.

  • 5/5 Rital J. 2 years ago on Google
Love this place. Location is perfect. Its across the beach so beach is easily accessible. Oceanview from room is amazing. Friendly staff and good service. So many restaurants at walking distance.

  • 4/5 Paul H. 2 years ago on Google
Very clean, but small room. Nice staff. Definitely would get ocean view to make worth it. Across the street from the ocean. So many restaurants, shopping close by. No pool though and one very big minus though if you are in a wheelchair it is very hard to get inside the hotel because of a very steep driveway. Overall though it is a nice hotel.
