This review is based solely on the host we had, Tomomi. She was incredibly kind and although our stay did not work out as planned, she was quick to accommodate a refund and was very polite about the entire situation. This bed and breakfast has a ton of potential, and just needs a bit more love in regards to some moths and mold in the bathroom. Unfortunately with me being very pregnant, we ended up not staying due to those reasons. Again though, we can not say enough kind things about the family that resides here and Tomomi who assists with guests. All were so nice and understanding. The landscaping was also incredible on property.

This was an awesome place to stay!!! Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Beautiful gardens full of frangent flowers and fruit. They have friend dogs that we got to play with. Pool was very nice we swam early in the morning before we started our day. The breakfast was delicious full for different fruit, breads, and traditional sides of back, potatoes and rice. She made us eggs and pancakes. Beds were super comfy with large pillows. It was truly a pleasure to stay there. We will be back and will recommend highly to anyone we know. Our hostess (I wish I remembered her name) so friendly and kind. She let us borrow all types of stuff to make us feel like we were at home. This home was decorated beautifully as well. It was like being transported in time.

This bed & breakfast is in a wonderful location, I found this gem browsing orbitz with one room left available. It was convenient because I paid in advance so check in with Tomomi was a breeze. It is a very intimate quiet setting, it seemed like the owner& family lives there. They were all super polite! I managed to get a lot of great pics around the property that Tomomi helped me with after she served me a delicious customized breakfast. Would recommend this to someone looking for a little escape to an exotic classical Hawaiian getaway ( very )close to town.

The location is in a quiet location. Three members of our family booked here for a mini reunion. Tomomi is the main point of contact. She is one of the most caring, giving people in the world. We fell in love with her. The parking is really tight. There is also a business run from the Inn as well that takes up parking (get a smaller car rental!) The breakfast is nice - eggs, protein (ham, bacon, or sausage), starch (toast, bread, rice), fruit, vegetable, and the best homemade strawberry compote ever! There is air conditioning in the rooms. Moving on - there is so much potential for this bed and breakfast. The themes for the rooms are beautiful. However, the chairs and couches in the rooms desperately need to be redone - when you sit down, you almost sit on the floor. The Inn also needs to address the strong odor - cross between cat and musty. Note to traveler - bring your own toiletries as they are not provided. We had a nice time with nice people.

The location is beautiful with mature landscaping that is taller then the hour and adds to the vibrant frequency of a natural setting with beautiful views and natural surroundings. The pool is well maintained and with the waterfall it adds to the mood of relaxation. I learned as time was spent majority at this location for me to work and relax. There is so much potential and as a guest I wish I knew how to book an apointntment for the services taken place at the Salon and Acupuncture. Their is no menu for food and those staying a week and other guests were asking the same questions as myself as to not knowing what food was available or when. The owner Mark unfortunately is controlling and asked me to not speak while on the phone with my Mom during my stay twice! Interrupted conversations and made my stay uncomfortable at the end! The lack of rules as I was in the area for eating and during the time I paid to stay and work! No regards to my time or value of me as a guest whatever a low value towards women and that was most unfortunate to witness an owner not only unpredictable, unpleasant and degradation of women I witnessed made my experience tainted. The atmosphere as the woman owner believes she is having memory issues and Mark the other owner controlling her was unbelievable and unbearable to witness. The house is absolutely beautiful and with more attention to detail for guests are needed as disrespecting others like myself an educated woman I would not recommend interacting with Mark one of the owners as he made clear from the moment I walked in before even getting checked in or paid for my stay. The toxic masculinity he brings to a house of women who he claims both have memory issues according to him brings my score lowered. The parking is an issue as having delivery or picked up is not complaint for those with disabilities or guests as they get blocked in with no way to easily communicate issues. Mark told me I come into the home as they are all unvacinted and I felt Awkward with the way he worded his speech talking down to me each interaction. I put four stars because as long as you don't mind getting whatever they serve during the short window and expectation to not hang around as he asked me to go put and didn't understand the concept I was paying to injoy the atmosphere and liked that no one else was their in retrospect I resize it is because he creates an impact as an owner for guests to feel like they are unwelcome! The gate out back it metal and the whole back yard is caged in for their ten cats and many dogs he explained which for safety is good except in case a fire it is dangerous as no key or way to unlock in an emergency! What felt safe at first started to feel like an emotionally free space got twisted as the more time their two nights was to much for the space allowed to speak or be welcomed. If new owners one day I would visit with proper maintenance of expectations and communications that are business oriented and professional! I was asked not to go outside at night because of lighting and after it rained another worker was discouraging me from going outdoors. The whole point for me was the yard!!!!

The convenient location is what I was looking for and that is all we got. We arrived after a 14 hour plane ride and the parking was only a few tight spots. We were led to our room up several flights of stairs with multiple bags so please be aware if you have any accessiblity issues. Then we enter a hot room, so we turn on the AC and head to pick up a few essentials and return to the AC that doesn’t work at 9:30pm. Tried to call the number that was provided with no answer. Opened the windows to dust covered all on the top of the windows. We were going to try to stick it out till we pulled back the bedsheets and the mattress was exposed. We immediately left and tried to call again with no answer and booked another hotel for the next couple nights. I am not one to leave a bad review because I feel like there are things that occur, but after 2 unreturned phone calls and an email that was never answered informing we would not be staying I didn’t know what to do. But trust me, they charged my credit card the final day. Also the pool looks nothing like the pictures, not sure you can swim in it at this time.

First let me start off what a beautiful place this is. It is a hidden jem. 1 of a kind inn. Beginning with the front entrance and continuing thru out the house, wonderful artifacts, paintings, figurines, statues, and fun things that catch your eye. Then there is this garden, probably the best garden I have ever seen, so many things to look at and adore. Gives you plenty of shade thru out. Also there is a salt water pool to enjoy in the middle of it all. I can not say enough about the family that run it. The owner was a great guy to talk to, alot of great info of the place and the island. The woman who seems to run it Tomomi, she was the best, caring, host you can imagine, she took care of your check in, and made you comfortable to stay. She even cooked the breakfast the next morning. Which was very very good. The family makes you feel like your home!!! Will Definitely be back. Thank you guys for a great stay. All the way from Chicago.

You will have to walk up stairs. Needs some work, but definitely quaint. New owners as of June 23. They have some learning, but in due time. Parking is tight so if your getting a rental, go small. That is the best for Honolulu anyway.

Unique design with cool back yard. The host was extremely helpful upon us checking in. Parking is very tight, the sheets smelled and don't expect any extras, which is fine but the price does not justify what you get.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Love the garden, the porch, the pool and breakfast. It's very intimate bed and breakfast and it's very clean. However, here are the things to note: * They need a better way for parking * All you will get is a liquid soap in a bottle that smells great! - So bring your own soap/shampoos/conditioner/lotion. * It's a humid state and they keep the room windows open, so the sheets has musty smell. (When your dish sponge is old smell). * There is a massage service for $68. We have not tried it yet, but we will when we're back.

Seriously a dream staycation! Loved this place! and how it took you to a different era! I stayed in the Cooke's room which is ideally good for 2 people and possible a little one. Definitely recommend booking at least one night stay here. Staff is very nice! Place offers wifi, a/c, tv, private room, private bath, towels, clean sheets, blankets, hair dryer, body soap, and breakfast/coffee 7:30 am - 9:30 am. There is a beautiful garden and pool in the back. Check-in is easy and after 3 pm. I booked through airbnb and from start the finish the service here is superb! Keep in the mind the house is historic so it's not your luxury 5 star hotel, but it's so cozy and lovely i would chose this place over an expensive waikiki hotel any day! My only suggestion is to bring your own shampoo/conditioner as that is not provided. There are also 4 adorable dogs on the property! Parking is on property as there are is a small parking lot in the back.

This place is epic. If you are looking for a romantic old school place to stay outside of the Waikiki craziness this place rocks. The house is like 100 years old and full of class and character. The staff is awesome. Super nice and helpful. I took the Mrs. down here on Valentines day 2018 and could't be more pleased with the stay. Rad location and rad peeps. Thanks guys, we will be back.

My wife gets her acupuncture done here, at Jujube, and she loves this place.

Jujube (oriental) Acupuncture staff are very calming and friendly; encouraged us to fully enjoy the grounds and waterfall.

I booked 5 nights and took the risk before knowing what I was getting into. To be fair, the room could be adequate for many travelers. My problems with the space: 1. Safety and security were not good enough for me. Check in did not involve checking ID, there was no front door secure lock to the whole building, and the room lock was a standard house key. Even though the neighborhood feels safe, the facility did not allow me to feel secure enough. 2. The biggest reason for me taking time to give this review is, there is no where to file a complaint. No refunds, no manager-like person available on site (although there were staff on call, when I voiced my concern, they seemed like it was out of their control), so I felt like there was no one to take my concerns and find a resolution. I’ve also tried reporting the situation to Agoda, but because of the β€œno refunds” policy, the customer service chat sent me into an endless loop that resulted in the feeling that there was no way to have my concerns heard and addressed. I called all phone numbers available and emailed the hotel with no reply over the last 18 hrs, so finally resorted to booking another hotel and creating this negative review. 3. The B&B was in a Victorian house and the room, hallways, stairs with no elevator and bathroom felt more like a youth hostel. There was a small community fridge in the hallway and pitchers of drinking water, again safety is an issue with open access to everyone. Room had a chair but not a workspace with a desk. Small 24” tv. Community laundry facilities, I missed breakfast which was between 7-8:30am. This is not a horrible place, but safety, security and lack of higher management presence has been missing. The strict no refund policy is really a pain, as I need to leave the island earlier than my check out date and there is still no way to communicate this or get any money back. I would NOT recommend this place.
