We had a terrible stay here, the host became extremely irate and out of control after asking for a simple request. Our family is very thankful for the neighbors who heard the incident from next door, the local police for their support, and Airbnb safety support. Would recommend to no one, you can take the host's word for it or ours but it's better to be safe than sorry and end up like us. If I were you I'd take your Waikiki plans far away from Tropical Studios, and if you do go there, make sure you buy an extra bolt for the door.

Perfect studio in the heart of Waikiki. Having a kitchen, private balcony and dedicated parking spot was fantastic, and my kids thoroughly enjoyed the on-site pool. Niko was easy to work with and made the whole experience very smooth. Highly recommend.

Not a good place to stay. Dont stay here. Dirty place, dirty CR and balcony, TV not working, No wifi, they will give you the wrong information for Wifi, old stuff inside the room, the water in the bathtub drain is clogged, the AC is so noisy and not working ptoperly, there's COCKROACHS also! 😠😠😠. So nasty!!! Felt the dust inside the room. Not a good place to stay for your vacation.Go somewhere else! Believe Me!!! Waste of money!!!😒😏😌😠😠😩😳

The studio condo was a perfect size for my husband and I. The parking in the building was great. I have to say having the security using the key fobs made us all feel safe. The Marine Surf was in a perfect location, close to everything. Having the balconies was an added treat and made us feel that we were part of everything going on in the area. If and when we come back to Hawaii I will definitely stay with you again. The place was stocked with everything. I couldn’t believe how you provided everything we could possibly want in the unit. I would recommend your place to anyone coming to Hawaii. The one and only thing I have to say, is the mattress on the bed sloped on one side and wasn’t as comfortable as it could have been. I would suggest replacing it. The studio my daughter was staying in had a tub the wasn’t draining well. After contacting you, someone was there, right away. It was nice being able to contact you directly while we were there in a text and within 10 minutes you answered any questions we had. I really loved it there. Thank so much! This room was perfect for the week we were in Hawaii for our daughter's wedding. It was a great size, it was clean, and the amenities were perfect. The only problem I had was that the water was turned off on the day we were getting ready for the wedding. It was a maintenance thing and so I don't blame the property owner.

This place was AMAZING! 10 min walk to Waikiki beach and a steal of a deal! Immaculately clean and they thought of everything! Check-in/check-out instructions were crystal clear and easy to follow. Niko was great to work with and put finishing touches on the place that gave it a personal feel. Absolutely perfect. I would happily come back here and recommend it to my loved ones!

Outstanding on all counts! If I could give six stars, I would. Niko went above and beyond to assist us, including with a few trip snafus that had nothing to do with the apartment. Location is perfect; right in the center of Waikiki, shops, bars, restaurants, etc. The apartment is spacious and clean with great views. Definitely recommend highly.

Great host. Easy check in and check out. The location was awesome, right in Waikiki so in walking distance to anything you could want. And the building makes you feel safe because you need your room key to use the elevator or enter the building so I felt safe which I loved. Free parking is also very nice. Also very clean so I definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent place. Close to everything, has parking and beach amenities. We were even upgraded to a top-floor condo with an ocean view. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay so much we asked for an extra night! The rooms are simple but has everything you need! We travel with two small kids and having a full kitchen was just top notch! The housekeeper was so kind and Niko was very accommodating and answered my calls and text messages promptly. The location is walking distance to everything you need. Will be staying here again!

We enjoyed our stay here- 2 adults and 2 kids. Unit was clean and nicely equipped. Kitchen had all we needed, AC worked well, shared laundry machine just outside the apartment (using a card you charge money on so bring 1$ bills), always had hot water and good stream in shower. Location is great. Lots of restaurants, short walk to Waikiki beach and Parking under the building. Beach towels, Umbrella and beach chairs we could use were a bonus. Check in was easy without contact using easy to understand instructions. We loved it!! We definitely recommend !!

It was a nice central place to stay in Honolulu. The only suggestion I would make, is to change the futon mattress. It’s super thin and wasn't comfortable at all!

We had a wonderful stay for about 8 days!! Didn't have to bother about anything. Everything was already setup. The corridor to the open sky is the highlight. We wish to go back to the same studio if it is available.

Our stay at the Tropical Studios was great. While it is an older property, it was well maintained and walking distance to shopping, the beach, International Market and other nearby locations. The full kitchen made it easy to address dietary needs. Free parking was a plus, however, we found we wanted a car for only a day or two and rental cars are available through the owner.

I stayed in a beautiful studio apartment for 5 nights. The room had a well-equipped kitchen which I used and large bathroom. Unfortunately the laundry in the floor was out of order during my stay.

Lovely, well maintained studio that is just two short blocks from the beach. The free parking and kitchen were a real plus. Nikko, was very responsive. All in all a great place for a getaway.

We really enjoyed 14 days at Niko’s place! For us everything was great. The place was big enough, well equiped, it is great to have a parking if you have rent-a-car and it is in the heart of Waikiki.

It was exactly the way it was advertised. Well stocked with everything needed for a furnished studio only thing missing was it’s not handicap ready. Perfect location walking distance to the beach free parking as well will use again mahalo

Stayed here for 3 nights! Spacious clean room with kitchen, balcony and partial Ocean view. They had two boogie boards, beach chairs, extra towels for use. Had a nice TV with Netflix, we watched a movie too😀Check in , check out was smooth. They have a pool on the 4th floor. Free parking. Would visit again.

Great location, close to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. It felt safe and had everything we needed to cook meals. We would definitely stay again.

Pro: excellent location, parking garage included, strong water pressure for shower, fast wifi. Con: extremely noisy; there’s a bar/club nearby and very very loud music until midnight. On top of that, there’s non-stop street noise! Couldn’t sleep well for three nights. Amenities are old or broken. There’s a damage next to the door lock. The room is dark at night since only the floor lamp was working. Avoid even number rooms coz they are facing the loud bar/club.

Best location and accessibility to everything Waikiki! Very convenient parking in the building with elevator. Comfy room with provided beach supplies and kitchen appliances. Quick responses from manager and building maintenance when power cut out. Highly recommend!

We had everything we needed. It was clean, and close to everything. They were very friendly and accommodating. Nice view. Best part was the location!

Best No Frills place to stay in Waikiki. This is a condo apartment so do not expect fancy hotel amenities but the place is accurately described. The best part is the location and parking. It is right in the heart of Waikiki, close to beach, restaurants. Comes with free parking that saves atleast $30-$60 per day. Definietly a great place to stay if you plan to explore Honolulu and not just stay at Waikiki beach all day.

Not fancy but clean and neat with everything you would need including kitchenware, beach gear, beach towels, etc. Excellent location. We didn't find the noise to be a problem - there was music at night but not excessively loud. We couldn't have an early check in but were able to leave our bags which was great.

Great place to stay, great location. Board, chairs, umbrella, snorkels all provided. Free parking. Room spacious and clean and tidy. Plenty of towels. Well stocked kitchen. Communication easy. Good value for money. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Amazing stay, at first I was apprehensive because I am spoiled and love standard hotel amenities, but the hotel-condominium format is pretty great. Stocked home wares, practical items, etc. were provided, including tons of extra towels and beach stuff! Keurig and kitchen appliances came in real clutch, and room was cleaned well. View was above average despite me not paying extra for better room view. Bathroom and shower pressure were great, and bed was quite comfortable and soft with lots of pillows. Lobby and elevator were well cleaned and excellent working condition. Niko provided 5 star and prompt service when we had an issue, and took responsibility for everything. Would love to stay here again next time I'm in Oahu!

Room was small, but had all amenities needed. Location was really good as well. It was right in the middle of Waikiki. Stores, shopping mall, and the beach were all walking distance from the room. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but pretty straightforward after you realize where it is at. There is also a public pool between 9-5 a.m., but I didn't get a chance to use it.

Location, Location, location Highly recommended if you want a comfortable homely stay with a nice view. We stayed there almost a week with two kids. You will not found daily room services like hotels but they are well stocked towels , bedsheets , blankets and beach towels . Morning tea at sea facing balcony was amazing experience. Easy walking distance from beaches, food places and shops. Plus free parking is really a bonus in Waikiki area. Kitchen was loaded with all utensils and crockery . Beach chairs and other beach stuff provided by them. 5 star for their efforts to make guests comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marine Surf Waikiki. It was the perfect size for our family of four for our one week stay. We really enjoyed the location. It was about a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach and just minutes from several different places to eat. The free parking was an incredible plus in a place where parking can be difficult to find. In addition to the kitchenette, we enjoyed the extra perks of having beach towels, beach chairs, and a boogie board. If we didn't feel like going to the beach, the pool was a nice option. The kitchen was nicely stocked with the necessities to prepare meals in the room if you don't feel like going out. Although it is right in the city on a busy street, we couldn't hear any noise inside our room. The check in and out process was simple. Our flight was delayed 6 hours and we still got in with no problems. My texts were responded to in a very timely manner. The ONLY issue we had was the shower was not as warm as we would like at times.

The BEST thing though was the shower. The shower pressure is AMAZING, like showering under a Hawaiian waterfall! The only negative thing worth noting, is that it is right in the city, so it is a bit NOISY. But you get use to it and it settles down in the later evening. Overall, a great value! Thanks Nico. The rooms feel very homely.

We had an excellent stay on the 12th floor. I was initially nervous about noise based on reviews; it is noisy on weekend evenings (live music), but I came prepared with earplugs and slept fine. The pull-out sofa was adequate for me (I am small), but perhaps not comfy for a larger person. My son is 6', 180 and had no problems with the bed. We had a slight problem with the microwave the first evening, but it was swapped out first thing the next morning. Not state of the art cookware, but the kitchen is functional; we cooked nearly all of our meals and had everything we needed. Niko and Ula are very responsive, I would definitely stay again!
