For this view the prices are reasonable. We were fans of the Shorebird Restaurant that used to be here: bbq your own cut of meat and get all the salad bar, rice, mashed potatoes and bread you could eat. The prices were lower, but the restaurant was looking older. That was two years ago. Today we see they’ve remodeled the bbq grill area and salad bar area; raised prices and changed the menu to include more a la carte choices. We came at 4:30 P.M. and were told we couldn’t order dinner til 5:00, so we asked for a table by the window ledge and ordered drinks and appetizers until we could get dinner. What a spectacular, shaded, unobstructed view of the ocean, beach goers, sail boats and Diamond Head. All five senses are engaged with the Hawaiian music, sea breeze and bbq, and amazing colors of the ocean. We had the Steak and Shrimp Nachos, which were superb. The shrimp was very fresh, huge and seasoned really well. Chunks of tender steak were hidden throughout the mountain of crisp flour tortilla chip strips, fresh guacamole (like 1 1/2 cups of guacamole), jack did, pico de gallo, jalapeños, Mexican cheese (either cotija or asadero, I forget, see photo), lemon wedge and a side of salsa. At the bottom was a smear of cumin-flavored black beans. Some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. We also got the Reuben sliders, salad bar, steak and shrimp kabobs, and those were all good. My friend said,”We should eat here every day. I could just stare at the water.” Our server was attentive and kept the cups topped off and used dishes cleared. We highly recommend.

This place has amazing views from the seating area. However, the foods is very expensive and the portion size is small. They don't have too many options to choose from. The service was very slow and the servers occasionally forgot what we ordered.

I had breakfast at The Reef Bar and Market Grill, which is owned and operated by the Outrigger Reef Hotel and located right on Waikiki beach. There is plenty of seating and is wheelchair accessible/friendly; as well as child friendly. They have a great variety on the menu or you can choose the all you can eat buffet. I was happy to order the Açai bowl which was delicious. #letsguide #açai #acaibowl #buffetbreakfast #allyoucaneat

Friendly service, beautiful views, but lacklustre food at unjustified prices. Kids meals were disappointing ... even to kids. Salad bar was pretty dull. Finally, “cook-your-own steak” is a recipe for hit-and-miss quality.

Loved the vibe. Went during happy hour and the Mai Tai's were poppin! That Bar Bacon was also a very nice treat while we were enjoying our drinks too.

The dinner service was wonderful, and the host was able to sit us near the water. If you sit near the grills it will definitely be hotter won’t get so much of an ocean breeze if you sit away from it. The food is excellent and there are great options for every kind of pallet. The prices are a bit steep but it’s still very good. It’s not quite the same as it was when it was the shorebird but it’s definitely still a good option for dining.

My experience is specifically for the bar. I was given immediate attention by the bartender and she was extremely welcoming and helpful. I was able to try out various beers and settled on a Mai Tai. It was absolutely worth the price. You get an amazing view of the beach and perfect seating to see the sunset. Out of all the reviews I have read your real value is grabbing a bar seat, getting a great drink and watching the sun set.

Lovely location right next to the beach . $22 fish tacos served both of us and came with delicious chips. Trevor our waiter was great !!! They don’t have barista coffee though so I wouldn’t recommend an iced coffee from there.
