I was brought to this restaurant by a friend. My friend ordered the ribeye steak, which is today's recommendation. I ordered grilled mackerel. It was like grilled mackerel at a barbecue shop, and it was a good grilled mackerel. Adding lemon and soy sauce makes it even more delicious.

2nd time to Bob's and they didn't disappoint. The mix plate od beef ribs and baby back ribs was delicious. I actually liked the baby backs better this time. Rest of the family had the tery chicken, fish sandwich and burger. Everyone had a full belly.

Really good food, big portions. This is not a tourist spot per se, and seating and cleanliness can be better but mostly locals seem to just grab and go. I hope it stays the same because trying to be upscale would make this inaccessible to locals. Also seems like kinda sticking to your seat while eating sticky bbq is the experience. I would surely go back, the kalbi was done well and wasn’t chewy at all. Highly recommend to try this place, considering all the hyped up food of Oahu this will be worth the price.

good smokey flavor - open fire like how BBQ should be done! Kalbi was good and tender. Steak/beef was hard to chew. rib was a bit salty. big portions though. only has outdoor seating and it's a... rundown neighborhood.

Food was absolutely amazing & service was awesome too. We asked the nice woman at the counter for her recommendation and she didn't lead us astray! Hidden gem for sure!

I have eaten here now three times in the last 2 months. There barbecue beef ribs are really amazing. I know some reviews didn't like the pork ribs but the beef ribs are generous portioned and priced very well. Their chocolate malts are priced very well and super tasty. The food was delicious 2 out of 3 times I have gone. The only reason they don't get a perfect is that I had my ribs overcooked once. They remade my plate and apologized. Food is amazing, staff is super friendly, and prices are bargain for the amount they give you. I highly recommend.

Extremely misleading. Ordered Giant Burger. Definitely NOT Giant at all. If this small patty is what they use for Moco Loco I wouldn't order that either. Fries were under cooked. Ordered ice tea got Lemonade. Expected a much Better Burger from a BBQ spot. No flavor at all.

Pretty good food for a fair price. Not absolutely amazing, but still good! I’m glad we stopped here instead of eating more in town

The food is delicious!!! I'm so happy I got to try this place because it was on my list and I came all the way from Virginia!! The prices are great and the portions are huge!!! Definitely big enough to share!!! I got the beef rib with shrimp and loco Moco and both had great flavor, especially the fried shrimp!!

Very good beef ribs and polish sausage, the price is a bit up there as I've come to expect here, but the portion is good. Not as undesirable a location as some have posted it to be

Bbq rib was far the best from their whole menu. It was perfectly cooked and very tasteful. Teriyaki chicken was dry other than that everyone was pretty good

They have quite a diverse menu for being such a seemingly small place. It was very good! We all loved it.:) Outside only seating, no bathrooms.

We loooooove this place. This is affordable good food with huge portions. We came here like 3 times when we were on our honeymoon! Amazing food, can’t wait to go back!

Great food and great portion. We got teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken. It came upto about $35 USD. The price was fair for the portion that was offered. Only downfall to this place is the location. Lots of homeless people around. We saw one lady going through the garbage looking for food at the restaurant. I recommend to takeout and eat somewhere else.

Had the Hawaiian equivalent to beloved Rochester classic, the Garbage Plate. Slaw was of the mayonnaise variety. Kimchi was an interesting inclusion for a BBQ joint (by main land sensibilities anyways). Mac salad was fine. Hibachi chicken was tender. The sauce from the chicken made everything better. All in all, it was pretty good. A hike from Waikiki but we were in the area after visiting the Bishop Museum.

I tried the Katsu Chicken and Loco Moco. So far it's one of the better loco's I've had since I've been on island.

It's a plate lunch place that is open late. No frills, just good food. I've never ordered their fish... But everything else is really good and very reasonably priced for the island. You don't come here for the service (but all they need to do is take your order and give you food and they've always done that for me) and the atmosphere matches the location so I can't give it a bad mark. I know some may feel uncomfortable here, but I've never had problems. The shop cats are friendly 🐱

We recently moved to town and kept passing by this restaurant on our many trips to Lowe's. It reminds us of a walk up in our hometown so we wanted to give it a try. The customer before us said everything on the menu was delicious and we wouldn't be disappointed. He ordered a fried shrimp burger, so we tried that. I was craving a burger and fries, so ordered that, as well as a combo plate lunch because..Hawaii. The plan was to take home the plate lunch, but it was devoured before we left the table. Everything was satisfying, including the large soft drink. I considered ordering a shake, but the look of the machine gave me pause. An easy stop in and friendly staff if you want to give it a try.

BEST PLATE LUNCH ON DA ISLAND! GET DA MALT SHAKE! SUPA GOOD! (NUMBA 21 WIT DA MALT SHAKE BRAH 😋)

The location at a junction of two busy roads tells you this place must be good because it's not a pretty place to dine. Most customers were picking up takeaway orders but we decided to eat in (at a table under a roofed area with no walls). The food was classic American barbecue (sweet glazes) and was tasty and good value. Vegetable sides were lettuce with thousand island dressing and Korean slaw (the dressing was only slightly sweet). This is not a place for uncommitted carnivores.

Great food and service. Haven't been by in awhile because we moved. But, still as delicious as I remember. Ate in my car because outdoor seating was too hot. Small parking lot, so we were lucky to come by when it wasn't busy

Honestly, I was underwhelmed. I heard RAVE reviews of this place, but it was just ok. The shredded pork was pretty flavorless, even when I added bbq sauce. The bbq sauce was too watery for my liking. And the macaroni salad had WAY too much mayo, which overpowered any other flavor that may have been there. Definitely needed more vinegar or something. The saving grace was the teriyaki chicken and the curly fries, which were really good! Probably wouldn’t go back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Legit kalbi ribs and bbq chicken plate!! Don’t let the shabby shack fool you, the food is great and the staff is cool.
