Oh, where do I start with the absolute pleasure that is shopping at Whole Foods on a Monday at 7 pm? It’s quite the magical experience. You would think a store of this stature would have their act together, but no, the charm here is in their unique approach to customer service and efficiency! With only two cash registers open, the lines grow to a modest gathering of around 30 people each – it’s almost like a mini community event every week. I must say, it’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, discuss the weather, and ponder the meaning of life, all while standing in line with your ice cream melting. But let’s not rush them into opening more registers – it’s clearly a well-thought-out strategy to enhance our social lives and test our patience. Plus, who doesn’t love the suspense of wondering whether the avocados will still be ripe by the time you make it to your car? Pure brilliance, Whole Foods, keep up the good work!

Wide variety, chill place to hang, great service, and they got a Amazon return center. This branch has something for everyone of all budgets. Service is great here, everyone is competent in skill while having a great attitude to helping people.

While we were still in covid pandemic... I went to Kahala Wholefoods in the early evening. I was rushing to pick up some groceries as usual. My friend gave me a $100.00 dollar for the food bill. I took the $100.00 dollar and put it in my shirt pocket, not putting it in my pocket good. So while I was by the fruit produce the money ($100.00) fell out of my pocket. As I was shopping to the back of the store by the seafood area. Something told me to check my shirt pocket.... the money fell out. I headed back to the fruit isle right by the oranges. I start to check the isles and und the displays with my flashlight. Then I stopped one of the workers as he was passing by. So he started to helping me to look for the money. then aother guy started to help us, too. Something told me to go to the front and check, and ask the manager at the Service Center. To see if someone turned in a lost $100.00 dollar bill, that was on the floor in the isle by the oranges. The manager said Sorry, no one turned in any money in the lost and found. But let me check with the other manager that is on the register. Low and behold she came to me with the money that was clipped to a piece of paper. then she told me it was returned from one of the workers that worked in stock. She had Lavender Hair. I went to look for her and thanked her for being so honest.

Convenient location, easy parking is the biggest draw, followed by some specific product availability like Silk unsweetened soy milk, salad bar choices, multi-grain bread... Otherwise, it tends to be more expensive than other grocery stores, less variety of some items, often long lines to checkout. Not my 'go to' store. Although, just got hand scan set up for checkout, which is So Convenient and fast. And just discovered today that you can return Amazon items there. Super easy. May end up there more often after all.

Now that's a place in for a wide variety of healthy quality produce, fish, meats, grains and more. They also serve prepared hot and cold foods along with a bakery that puts out an array of just delicious cakes, pies tarts etc I'd say a must to visit for your grocery items and shopping enjoyment. I wish I took pictures and I think I will sometime soon to add to this post. Wheelchair accessible, restrooms, and located at Kahala Mall where you can shop for Anything with the wide variety of shops, eateries etc. Plenty of parking. Enjoy. Aloha Joseph

The a la carte box lunch offers a wide selection of hot foods and salads. You build your own lunch and it's charged by weight at $11/pound. Two pounds of food can easily feed two people.. Utensils are provided when you check out. Lots of outdoor seating that's mostly in the shade of umbrellas, some trees or the long prrmanent eave overhang out of the front entry_exit. Besides the food counter it has a market section. We only go there for lunch. Love eating healthy choices provided.

Kinda wished the sushi selection was more diverse but everything else was top notch, as usual. I also had fun feeding the birds outside on their very clean and well maintained patio.

Fresh vegies, fruits in season enoy shopping for them. Spinach is always our base in our starting salads, & free form selections thereafter Large floor layout, we like their fresh local vegetables, freshly baked in house dough, Old world looking, glass display cases, with products that are in arms reach. To be bagged upon selection. Niece store to walk throughout, schedule permitting, particularly if there happens, to be some spare browsing time on hand...!

Like other Whole Foods, the Kahala location suffers from confusing checkout line organization worsened by overhead signage that directs people to stand in the way of foot traffic, no floor markers for checkout lines, and short-staffed registers (the whole store is understaffed and probably underpaid). This confusion leads to customers making mistakes and leaves everyone frustrated. There's a national chain of neighborhood grocery stores that has figured it out, so get a clue, and stop wasting our time.

Beats Ward Center Location on Customer Service and availability of goods. Everything else, Ward Center location wins, hands down. But dam, do you guys have Customer service experience beat. I think because Ward is just so busy all the time...

Fruits and veggies are fresh, but with price. All good quality, also with price. It's understandable if their own products are marked at a higher price, but when the same items from other market are marked at a higher price... then that's an issue.

Bakery- a couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of being assisted by a woman named Georgette at the bakery. It was a BUSY day (weekend during the holiday season) and she was so lovely and patient with us. My kids look for her every time we go into that Whole Foods now. I think it’s so important to recognize amazing customer service and really adding so much value to the customer experience. My son was extra annoying that day and changed his mind 2 or 3 times she just smiled at him & her voice was so full of love and patience. I was mortified since it was such a busy day but she truly displayed the feeling of OHANA. Mahalo Ms Georgette

Came all the way from Ewa Beach for the hand made burger patties my neighbor was raving about. But left with much more. Also my Amazon Prime membership gives additional discounts.

Whole Foods in Kaimuki or Kahala Mall excuse me is really nice but nowhere near as complete as the Whole Foods which is just behind Consolidated Ward Theaters. That is the whole foods that has a wider range of products however Whole Foods prices especially for their hot bar have gone way off the sharks. It was always ridiculously expensive and if you did the math you would realize that for going through and putting your food in a little takeaway container and paying by weight at the original price of like $10 a pound it cost you almost as much as what you pay to sit in a really nice restaurant. Which may be one reason why it's situated across the way from very expensive condos. And the same of course goes for the one in Kahala Mall. Now they're charging almost $14 a pound so it really is ridiculous. If you want hot food if you want any kind of meat product anything that weighs a lot you might as well go to restaurant where you can sit down and have them serve it to you. But for some people who only eat small portions and who want to indulge in a diverse menu that could be the best place to go there's no question that the one in Kahala Mall has a nicer Ambience because you can sit outside you've got the whole Mall there next to you so you can get other things to go with your food it's very bright and sunny and pleasant and the one which is behind Consolidated Ward is more of an interior building and they haven't really reopened the dining places since covid shut them down. There are still places outside to eat but not nearly as many and plenty of people do pick up their lunches there it's usually very busy. Even as an Amazon Prime member there aren't as many sales on that make it enticing to go there for a long time because of Amazon's purchase of Whole Foods prices in many cases were more reasonable more like going to a regular supermarket. And also there would be sales on which really made it worthwhile. Right now post covid all of the prices have gone up there are fewer sales and fewer products available for sale are on a sale that you really want to buy. Just a heads up the baking section with the fresh breads in Kahala Mall is much smaller and has fewer choices than the baking fresh bread section in the big Whole Foods on Queen Street. Your best bet if you're not going to get there till later in the day is to find out what you like and call ahead and ask them to save something for you because by the time afternoon rolls around chances are many of the breads that you were hoping to get have been sold out they don't have as much as they used to have before covid in terms of quantity. One recommendation I have for sure is that the baguettes at the Whole Foods Market Queen Street for $2.69 are fantastic and they come as close to what I have tasted in France back in the day of any baguette anywhere. That's only 20 cents more than what you pay at Safeway for a far superior product so if you want a baguette go to Whole Foods Market Queen Street.

I always love going to whole foods. I used to visit this whole foods often to meet up with my friends, we would have acai bowls and sushi. The prepared food is on the pricier side, but sometimes the produce and dry goods are very well priced!

The Kahala whole foods is smaller than the one in Honolulu, however has all the basic necessities you would need for grocery shopping. The selection here is also slightly different from Honolulu as well, as it is catered to the locals who live around the area. Depending on the time of day, parking becomes a challenge, since you are also competing with parking for the Kahala mall customers. They also offer daily specials at the prepared foods sections, weekly sales, Amazon returns, and have a large health section like they do in Honolulu. In comparison to the other grocery stores in the area their prices are reasonable.

Love shopping and eating at the Deli. Great place to get everything you want Price may be high and lines are sometimes long. So when I'm at Kahala Mall, it's a stop for me. Need to try that cozy spot to relax and unwind. Looks inviting.

Overall it's good, the store is clean the staff is friendly and is really helped me when I need to find things. A little bummed we can't use our household prime barcode, because it has to be tied to a certain mobile device. Other than that I would have given it five stars, but I understand Amazon once all the data of every device of every person makes sense to me

No complaints. Only thing that would make Whole foods better would be if it was in close proximity to a T.J's. I'm tired of seeing y'all carry the bags ...😅.... Trader Joe's snacks and drinks are on the Elite level of (Must Have). Wholefoods has been changing items and also not keeping select items stocked. Other than that it's my go to for shopping for Produce.

Aloha! Today is Wednesday before thanksgiving and I ordered the 4 person meal online. I am 39 weeks pregnant ( ready to pop) and when I showed up to pick up my meal there was a line going around the Whole Foods Store! I freaked out because I can’t stand for long and my husband was at work. Well I showed up and saw this man (can’t remember his name SORRY but I do hope someone talks to you about how happy you made me) anyways I shared that I ordered my meal and could not stand there for seriously 2 hours the man told me wait here I’ll see what I can do. In less than 15 minutes he had my order. I know I did cut in front of a lot of people but you know what this is the one time in my life I can do this things…. Anyways… just wanted to say THANK YOU this man went far beyond for my family and I and did an act of kindness that nowadays it’s hard to see. Please please maybe read this in a store meeting or something so this man understands how amazing he is and keep on doing what he is doing cause he is pretty great. HAPPY HOLIDAYS MARIANA

I needed assistance early this morning and each associate I spoke with provided excellent customer service, especially the young man in the dairy section, and a team member in the bakery section, and all the way to the checkout associates. Your store has exceptionally well-trained team members!

I have shopped at this Kahala location several times and I'm not going back because I keep having negative experiences. Other Whole Foods locations have been nice but not this one. On 3/18/22 I was making my way around the salad bar and I waited for an employee to move her restocking cart which was preventing people from accessing the salad greens. She was stocking a cooler. I waited a couple of minutes and then politely said excuse me. She blew up like a time bomb. As she moved the cart she said loudly "Go ahead girl, get it!" Then she yelled "You go girl, IT'S AAALL YOOUUU!!! IT'S ALL YOU!" Everyone around looked to see why she was yelling but there was no reason so we all just remained composed and continued shopping. As I was getting salad dressing I saw that she was being very friendly to a Hawaiian family but with other non-Hawaiian customers she was very huffy, like if they were looking at something in the refrigerator section she was stocking. After I left I realized she put her cart in the way on purpose and was waiting for someone to "interrupt" her so she could try to create some drama. That's why others were avoiding her. I had to wait for 15 minutes to check out at the express line and when I purchased my few items the cashier said he would not accept the Amazon Prime QR code on my phone for the Prime savings because he said "we don't accept those QR codes yet but I heard we will in the future". I went to the Whole Foods location on Kamakee today and told the cashier what that guy had told me at the Kahala location and she said she had no idea why he would tell me that because they do scan the Prime QR code on your phone. Also, at Kahala in February I tried to order an iced mocha at the coffee bar but the barista was extremely confused about what an iced mocha was. I said 16 ounce iced mocha three times and then I gave up because she kept saying "What kind of mocha?" Also, the shredded cooked chicken in the refrigerator says $8.99 on the price tag but on the container it says $10.99 per pound and that is how much you are charged. The only nice employee was the lady in the beauty department, kudos to her for being friendly. It seems rare in that store. And like everyone else said, the lines are ridiculous. There were 26 people in all lines at 10:30am and there were only four cashiers open.

They have all kinds of food there. All the cooked food looks delicious and individually wrapped due to pandemic which is a good thing. I love the variety of cheese selections they have and crackers.

I love the hot bar! Well, I love breakfast anyways😊 it's convenient. I didn't have any breakfast sandwiches this morning, but I made my own, though, with the items from the hot bar. Cold bar is awesome, too. It's not your usual Ala carte/build your own salads. They have legit pre-made salads. Love it💪❤

Went in to get some breakfast. The customer service was perfect. And they even sold me on the breakfast pizza. As for the pizza itself. It was horrible. Not breakfast at all, just not good. I appreciate the option, but the ingredients need some working on. Mahalo

I live close by, so I like this location even though the Queen Street one is bigger and sometimes Kahala runs out of something I wanted, especially if it's on sale. I've rarely had to wait in line for long, which is crucial since I have two young sons. I've ordered online for curbside or in store pickup many times, and the food was always packed nicely, with produce chosen carefully. Seafood and meat counters are always quick, and someone always calls out they'll be right with me if their hands are full. If they see someone trying to cut in front of me, they let the customer know I'd been waiting. A couple times, a staff member offered to help me when I was having a hard time in store - without me asking. Once that made a huge difference for me because I had my sons with me and was having a rough morning. Thank you for that.
