This park goes from beautiful neighborhood hang out to drug infested shanty town week-by-week. The bathrooms are scary to use sometimes. There are usually people off their heads hanging around in the shade, and most of them are harmless, but other times they aren't harmless. I've found a needle just sitting around on the cement before. The grassy area a quite lush and nice. The trees are humongous and beautiful and offer great shady areas to have a picnic. In the afternoon parents bring their kids to play on the nice playground. There are busy basketball courts that have been recently resurfaced. Two busy pickleball courts that always have games running. The field of grass used to be very nice, but recently it has become pocked with holes and is quite dangerous to run on as it becomes a hazard to break an ankle. Even with the occasional screaming schizophrenic and the homeless domestic abuse situation, this park gets a 4 star from me because the daytime is quite beautiful, and the community of good people who populate this park during the day far outweigh the negativity that floods in at night.

Took my dog to the dog park. The park itself is a good size park. I went in the afternoon when it was empty since they don't have a separate play area for small dogs. The park looked like it could use some tlc. But it was a place my dog could run off leash for a little while which was good. This was my second time here. I do plan on going back but only in the midday to early afternoon when there's hardly anyone to no one else there.

Nice and open in the middle of the city. Just make sure you watch your kids.

MWN park is your typical playground. It has a decent equipment setup. The bathrooms are always closed. I assume that’s because the homeless set up camp in the park area so the city probably keeps them locked up to avoid the liability. There’s two basketball courts. Lots of awesome street art on the buildings to look at while your children play. They also have two convenient water fountains on the premises of the playground. Street side parking is available. There’s also plenty of seething available for the parents.

Pleasant urban neighborhood park with recreational facilities. Not as many homeless/vagrants as previously; bathrooms can be dirty, unclean and not a pleasant place to visit. Do not frequent park at night--no continous vigil/security.

A great park would rate 5 stars if you never ran into the homeless. They never really bother you. I wouldn't go there after the sun starts to peak. I always bring my children there, though now they are older and have different needs. So, I bring my niece and nephew now. The restrooms seemed to keep breaking down. But the grass is green, the playground is nice, and the basketball courts are solid.

A lively decently sized park during the day. Highlights are the 2 permanent pickleball courts, the dog park, the basketball courts, and being in a family-friendly neighborhood that's conveniently located near many stores. Lowlights are the homeless that camp in and near the bathrooms. Stay away, especially at night!

This is a neighborhood park mostly used by nearby residents but also outside sports teams and fitness groups. Street metered parking can be sparse. There are bathrooms that work and somewhat maintained. The bball, pickle ball courts, and playground area look regularly maintained as well. The drawback is the vast homeless that troll the area. They're very boisterous and confrontational with eachother. If you have small children, keep a close eye out. I had a random person break from his pack and continually try to engage conversation with my 10yo son. An alarming moment for sure so be aware!

Park is fine, it's a park. PARKING is another story, the only safe place to park is in the commercial parking garage around the corner. Lots of people park along the street on Sundays without paying the meters but whether or not its enforced is up to you to gamble on that ticket if HPD decides to ever do their job. The bathroom is clean enough, not as homeless stabby as some other parks.

Nice big park. Playground, basketball courts and even a small dog park. Nearby buildings have art work as well

Great place to play pickleball. Brand new courts and nets. Lots of homeless drifting around so best to leave your valuables in your car or close by. Parking is only $1.50 an hour.
