The tower has been closed since Covid. The Marketplace has been taken over by the college. There is an "Old Spigetti Factory" restaurant still in operation. There are venues rated to the college, meeting rooms, food venues.

Another fantastic shopping center with luxury stores and tourist stores nearby. Lots of musicians in the streets. So fun.

My wife and I took TheBus from Waikiki to Aloha Tower Marketplace to take the Star of Honolulu tour to watch whales in the morning. When we arrived, the rain started and we walked on the inside mall and later toured the outside compound when the rain has stopped. There was not much to see since the shops were closed, including the tower itself, which appeared to have been locked up and closed to public for a long while. After the tour, we took lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory, which was a delight.

Home to Hawaii Pacific University, the Spaghetti Warehouse, and Aloha Tower. We ate at the Warehouse and left satisfied. They had not been open at this location that long before COVID came along. Highly recommend giving them a try. The Tower is still closed due to COVID restrictions. We have been before and it is small part of Honolulu history that hopefully won't disappear. The University too is closed at present. It's a unique campus setting and makes good use of underutilized commercial space. If you have read this far into the review you might be wondering if this place is worth your time. We enjoyed the time spent walking around watching the large boats in the harbor. I would say yes, go grab a bite to eat, take a stroll, and get away from the crowds for a bit.

Most of the businesses in the area were closed. The Aloha Tower is a unique structure but not something you have to see.

I don't understand why almost everything is closed during working weekdays, there are few people and it looks very deserted, while it is a tourist attraction that would definitely attract a lot of people. Otherwise, it's very nice here, well maintained, there are many restaurants, a promenade and a beautiful tower, which unfortunately you can't visit because it's closed.

We did The Star of Honolulu Cruise. My girl was in town visiting from the mainland and she booked this for us. 5⭐ experience all the way around. We made reservations for the very top deck, HIGHLY recommended, worth the price. The complimentary drinks, the food, dessert, the live music, not to mention the MAJESTIC VIEWS, the picturesque views, the sunset and the fireworks!!!!! A definite MUST, in fact my girl and I will do this again the next time she visits. Great, great, great time!!!

The going up the tower is prohibited, you can only take pictures in the surroundings. It part of the Hawaii Pacific University

it was a complete surprise to find this amazingly located outdoor dining area so empty, but that worked out to our advantage. wonderful service, superb pizza options, wicked garlic fries, great drink specials, and an Uber cool view of the water.

Surprisingly well stocked with all the essentials! It was the only place on site we found to buy coffee creamer which we sorely needed. We also bought fresh fruit, Benadryl, beer, and sugar. Very nice little market!

In its former days this area was filled with dining and shopping options. Now it's a campus for HPU students and it's former glory of the cool place to hang out has been lost in memories. It's sad to see a former late night hang out for the community turn into a quiet campus for rich mainland kids. There are a couple restaurants still clinging to dear life, but it's not the same. Even the old Gordon Biersch brewery hung up its saddle for the last time and called it quits. It was the long time hold out, but it finally had to fold. I'm giving 2 stars because the tower still looks nice, and there is still 1 bar that really hopping several nights per week, but even from the outside, it smells like bourbon street. (Not a good thing)

It's NOT a marketplace anymore!!! It's a College classrooms and dorms! They Kicked Out all of the shops and restaurants!!! Forget about this place, it's better to just go somewhere else! The ONLY Redeeming feature about this place is the Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurant! That's a Great place to go for a nice meal!

Folks parking here need to be aware of the "validation" system. WITH a validated sticker, you ONLY get 1 hour 'free'. 1 minute, or more, over that is $2 dollars for each hour OR FRACTION of. There is supposedly a 15 minute "grace period", but that's IF you ONLY park for 15 minutes or less. Also, I've never seen this lot cleaned, so anymore there are PILES of tree shedding to track into VEHICLE carpets.

Good spot with lots of restaurants and stores. Beautiful clock tower at night as well. Also happened to see a beautiful multi million dollar yacht docked at Pier 9.

Not much unless you are visiting HPU or looking for the Old Spaghetti Factory. Used to be so much nicer back in the days with Don Ho's & Gordon Biersch...

Parking is expensive, even if you get your ticket validated from one of the restaurant's at the Aloha Tower. It was a ghost town when we were there. Only saw a couple of shops. We dined at the only restaurant we saw open, called the Old Spaghetti Factory. Looks like a local University has taken over the Marketplace. It's a shame this area is empty. With so much history in this place, you would think more businesses would open and thrive here. This place is located near the business district of downtown Honolulu. It was at least nice watching the sunset, and the boats come in.

The tower was closed for reconstruction, but the Spaghetti Factory was there, good food. The area was nice to walk around. Norwegian Cruise Ship docks nearby.
