One of my favorite restaurants. I always get the veggie sampler with our choice of 2 meat dishes. Try Sambusa and Ethiopian ice tea to start, and if you have room, the baklava for desert. So good!! Fair warning you'll be eating with your hands.

Ok so this was… good. I really like trying food from different places, and I love African, so I decided to go here. First off the service was weird. Not good, not bad. Just weird. We were the only people in the restaurant but he was paying very little attention to us. The food was very different, but still tasty. The menu isn’t organized good. You can order individual items, or a huge platter. This ended up costing a lot. It also took a long time to come out. The atmosphere was nice, and along with the food, we had a good experience. It’s also good because all their stuff is vegan. They are lucky I like posting high reviews bc i know they are trying :)

This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. I didn't know what to expect and I enjoy trying new ethnic foods. First of all the initial entrance and dinning area seemed a bit small however we were introduced to the outside area and it was beautiful. The greenery and water features were beautiful. Thumbs up all the way. We started off with the appetizers. And it didn't disappoint. The sambusas were golden brown and delicious. 2 pieces for $7.50. The food here is indeed pricey and the food is served family style. Prices for food range from 19 to 25 dollars. The flavors were unique and unfamiliar though several of the dishes surprised my with it's flavors. The Ethiopian style iced tea packed a "punch" so to speak. Kind a like punkin pie drink.

One of my first stops on the island and a joy to experience every time. The food is an adventure of spices and care. I love the vegan options, and enjoy sharing my favorite wots with friends and family. The food is what you'll go for, but the experience will keep EL on your mind.

I've never had African food before. Everything tasted great! We had spicy lamb and the Ethiopian Love Sampler. I Love the experience eating without utensils, the bread was perfect. Only prices were more than expected, small kine sticka shock, Africkn dent in our budget.

Small, simple place, better than expected food. A bit of a mom and pop feel, probably seats 30 people. Fairly short menu but something for everyone. I had beef tibs and it was some of the best I’ve had. Good portions, reasonable prices. Service was pretty good. Would return.

This place is AWESOME! I stumbled in here accidentally and it has been many years since I have been in Ethiopia. DID NOT DISSAPOINT! I had the vegan sampler. It's sometimes a challenge to find "healthy" vegan. This was. Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great food if you're looking for something wholesome and family style. Eat with your hands! That's always fun. The bread is like sour dough so be aware.

I used to come here all the time it was really amazing food. But then it closed after covid and I'm not sure if they have new owners now or what. the last time I went there, during covid, the food was just ok. I'd go check it out again for sure when I go back. I'd be so happy if the original owners are still running it.
