The Hyatt Place is a bit dated but the location is perfect. It is walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo, beach, lots of shopping options and farmers market. The staff are all friendly we did not encounter one problem at the hotel. The room was cleaned daily which I thought was only going to be every couple of days so that was a nice surprise. Especially after a long day coming back to a clean room was perfect. They offer chairs and towels for the beach which is great. There is a Dominoes located inside the hotel which was a bonus for the kids. The breakfast was edible, not the best or worst. It is at least a hot breakfast daily. You eat on the 3rd floor outside which was amazing. Enjoyed breakfast with a nice breeze every morning. One last important thing, the beds were pretty comfy and the hotel was really quiet. It made relaxing at night very easy.

First of all, I want to mention I am a travel guy and have traveled to many 4, and 5-star hotels almost all around the world. I believe staying in a good hotel is an essential part of memory of the trip. Jumping to reviewing about this hotel: honestly, I couldn’t find anything wrong. Every thing was perfect. Very kind and welcoming staffs, a full variety of breakfast options you can even consider as a whole lunch. Plus, there is a $5 daily Credit for buffets you can select from several cakes or beverages. They also serve free coffee and tee all the time at the lobby. There are also purifying water machines and ice makers, free towels, and chairs for use at the seashore which is less than a 2-minute walk from the hotel. We had a very cozy quiet room where we could have a nap even in the middle of the day. overall I am absolutely satisfied with the hotel and definitely come back here again. And its price compared to similar ones considering the great breakfast is great especially when the location of the hotel is one of the best and most convenient. In the end, I like to appreciate the nice gentleman, Mr. Kyle Ragan, the manager who I accidentally met once and talked about an issue for which the hotel was not responsible and was related to a third party, but he generously helped me to resolve it.

The property is a nice property a block off the main strip and all in all we were satisfied. However, A surprise $35 per day "Resort Fee" that we thought was already paid for when we already reserved paid for the room in advance is definitely not okay. Also upon arrival, you are greeted with another surprise valet parking charge of $53 per day. The Valets were friendly, but during busy times it just may take a while to get your car, so plan ahead. However, again, it would have been nice if these additional charges were known ahead of time. You can also park other places on your own for less. The buffet breakfasts and coffee were very good! Just beware of pigeons! The staff mostly tried to keep them away but guests that just walk away from a plate full of food for them to get at is beyond oblivious. We like that they have water stations throughout to fill your provided water bottle. Room was clean and housekeeping was good. We had a small issue and the manager was very helpful. It was nice that they have complimentary towels and chairs for the beach. We paid for a "view" of Diamond Head, but it was blocked by other tall buildings, so there was no real view. Also, it would be helpful if at check in, the front desk would have told us which elevator to take to our rooms. We spent 20 minutes looking for our room only to find out that the other elevators located by the gift shops went to our room. We had no idea these existed.

Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach is amazing!! It's not 5 star as in opulent but certainly 5 star in service, cleanliness, consistency and comfort!! We love it here every time. đź’– We checked in late at night. The room was comfortable and certainly clean. Exactly what we expected. We asked about a different room only because we were hoping for a slightly different set up and what we got was outstanding! Comfort, view, and impeccable service all around!!

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. We enjoyed our stay but here are our thoughts. The valet and bell service were top notch. All the guys that worked in these departments were fantastic. The front desk staff could really use some help. They were not friendly and they had trouble locating my 2nd room. This was finally corrected, and I did get the two rooms I reserved. Free breakfast is a nice perk, but it does have a limited selection. The coffee that was provided was decent for hotel coffee There are a lot of birds, but I am not sure what could be done to remedy this. The water refill stations on the first floor are really nice, and it does keep you having to buy bottles of water. You also get a $5 credit per day to use at the bistro, and that is a nice treat. Overall, if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel in Waikiki, this is a great option. However, if you are looking for more of a Hawaiian vacation destination, I would look elsewhere.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Close to stores, restaurants, and most important, the beautiful beach. Jeff and Ryan were absolutely fantastic!! Took great care of us, very informative with ideas of things to do, places to go, and just great to chat with. Very cool dudes. Hotel is great with free beach towels and chairs every day. We can't wait to come back!! đź’—

Very pleased with our stay, staff made it extremely enjoyable and the cleaning crew always greeted us with a smile. Our rooms were SPOTLESS, I even took the covers off to check for bugs and there were none, just a white clean mattress. The breakfast: amazing! Honestly looked forward to this a lot, loved the fresh yogurt bar so much I recreate it at home now. Eating by the pool every morning was a fun memory. I would stay here again for my next trip, I really enjoyed the free towel/chair rental. I also liked the little gift bag with the water bottle and still use it almost every day.

We stayed at Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach for 10 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great as it is about a 2min walk to the beach and also close to bus stops which travel around the island. We liked the breakfast, which we didn't realise at the time comes free as part of the cost of the hotel costs. We also liked the fact that we were given a free $5 to spend on food and drink for each day of our stay. We also want to say a big thank you to the cleaning staff, in particular Carmella, who added some fantastic personal touches to make our stay even better. They noticed it was our wedding anniversary and gave us a little note of congratulations, a card, sparkling wine and some cakes to celebrate. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

I was very upset at their lack of shuttle service at first. But this hotel is very, very nice, and do provide a cab ride with a very respectful and respected cab company at a very good price. Very friendly and well dressed employees. I am very satisfied with my whole experience with my stay here. Very nice accommodations and great experiences.

Everything was great ! Great location close to the beach just a few blocks walk and everything you need : shopping malls , restaurants and a grocery stores . My room was very quiet no noise and a cleaning provided every day . Friendly and helpful staff. I don’t know why I saw a lot of comments about elevator but I didn’t have any issues with it. Didn’t wait longer than 1-2 minutes :) overall I spent a good time and satisfied with my staying at this hotel . Next trip when planing to go to waikiki def will stay at the same place

Everything was great- just not my scene. Parking was very difficult to find and took over an hour to get settled. Other than that, the hotel is great. Staff was overly kind and helpful. (In a good way) and I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities. Very clean, beds were not bad. Pillows were terrible but I don’t expect nice pillows anywhere. One perk was having the food trucks lined up in the alley outside. We grabbed dinner late and didn’t have to go far.

Awesome location, clean rooms, AMAZING staff! Loved our stay here. If you are looking for a nice, affordable hotel, look no further. Rooms are a bit dated, but very clean. It isn't a fancy resort, but it has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place, from the customer service to the facilities. The rooms were comfortable, and we slept soundly each night. The valet parking folks were on top of things and brought us our vehicle with little prior notice. The atmosphere downstairs was comfortable, and we enjoyed the open environment. The only item that I would mention is that the breakfast didn't have much variety. I have stomach issues, so I am unable to eat eggs, meat, and potatoes for breakfast. I would suggest adding cereal, toast, or something like that for folks who aren't able to partake in the heavier breakfasts. We enjoyed the location; we were able to walk to the zoo while there. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Employees were very friendly and helpful. The room very clean. But the showing of the rooms that we thought we had reserved were nothing that shown. At least they had a leni where at least chairs faced forward. And room big enough to pass each other without bumping into each other in passing. For what we paid and what we got.

We had booked this hotel to stay in before going on a cruise. The first night, for some reason, the room we booked was not available and we ended up in a king standard which was quite all but very clean with a walk in shower. The error was quickly corrected the next morning, we packed our bags and went touring, and the staff moved our bags to the new room: a Specialty king room. We were also refunded for the difference in price for the first night: great overall service by the staff. The hotel is located about 200m from Waikiki Beach, there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area. The included breakfast bar was excellent.

The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the sea with some ocean view rooms, suitable for families. There is a dining car in the street downstairs, the staff is enthusiastic and fast service, the doorman helps to carry the luggage, the room is clean and tidy, you can free bath towel and beach chair, breakfast miso soup, rice, three staple food different every day. The elevator is small, there is a small cockroach in the room, and the room facilities are a little old. Overall feel good, worthy of recommendation.

The hotel is about 2 minutes walk to the beach, the location is great and very close to the zoo for the kids. There are towels, beach toys, chairs, and boogie boards available daily for free. You are given a $5 daily credit to be used for food and drinks at the hotel. The daily breakfast was wonderful and lots of different options for everyone. You are seated outside if the weather is nice and since you are in Hawaii there will be pigeons, so watch your food. There is a swimming pool but we didn't use it as you have the beach right there. The gym is close to the breakfast area and you have people walking through constantly with food during morning breakfast hours, so it makes it hard to work out and awkward. I had stopped using the gym after the second day as there was too much traffic. The hotel room was nice and enough room for all of our stuff. The bathroom can use little bit of updating but overall it was a great stay and we will definitely be staying here again. We had stayed at the Hyatt Regency before but it was too noisy for us so this time we stayed a few blocks behind the main strip (Hyatt Place) and it was much better.

Had an excellent 10 day stay. The room was large with an incredible ocean view. The service was super!!! The staff are very kind and friendly. Thank you Lyn for your kindness and great work! The breakfast each morning is same except for Mondays and Thursdays when they serve a variety of hot breakfast sandwiches. I missed the peanut butter condiment so I bought my own and the fruits which are now only pineapple instead of the variety that included melons. We will definitely be back at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach next year. Truly the best!!!

We loved our stay at Hyatt Place. We stayed for 10 nights and had a great experience here. Firstly Joy at the front desk was amazing and gave us a early check in as we had come all the way from New Zealand on a overnight flight and hadn’t slept. She was amazing and we were so greatful to freshen up and made our start of our trip so much better. Great location back off from the Main Street, great and lovely housekeeping, lovely rooms, good breakfast included and bonus there is a laundry on site. Would recommend to anyone!

The hotel is in a good location not far from the beach. The rooms were clean and the cleaning and breakfast staff were really nice people. However the resort fees offer very little value. Many of the large hotel chains, including Hyatt, Marriot etc. are undergoing legal action against 'junk fees' including resort fees as of 2023 that often remain hidden on aggregate booking sites. We used this hotel and I was charged a second round of resort fees after booking through a travel agent and paying in full what was required, so whether the fault is with the hotel's advertising or the travel agent, I will not be returning to either.

We spent an amazing vacation. We arrived to the hotel a little bit earlier, but the manager Mrs. Joy checked us in immediately. We were so glad and thankful! Our room was spacey enough and nice. The bed was super comfortable, had a new mattress, new soft pillows and bright white linen. We would like to say “Thank You” to Mrs. Raquel (She greeted us with a smile every morning and always kept our room clean). Breakfast was fresh, different and contained fruits. It’s situated 3 minutes walking from the beach and the tourist city center. Thank You crew members for our excellent work!!!!!

I strongly recommend this place for stay in Waikiki. Very clean and comfortable place. It’s less than minute was from Waikiki beach. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Breakfast buffet is icing on the cake, lots of options and good spread. Amenities were great with free beach towels, chairs, toys for use. You can use their day parking for 12$/day from 8am-12PM if you don’t want to do valet parking for 60$. Ample street parking at night around the block and also Zoo parking is walkable. I only have positive experience to share from my stay.

Like others have said the hotel is dated. The rooms themselves could use some updating but otherwise the hotel is great. The location is perfect and they have valet parking available. It’s $45/day. Continental breakfast in the morning on the third floor which has a variety of foods. The hotel is three blocks from the beach and the hotel will give you beach towels and chairs to take to the beach. Great service. Definitely worth it and will stay again.

First off, they are serious about the covid 19 mandate, felt safe throughout our 1 week stay. GREAT STAFF. Easy access to various tourist spots: the beach, ABC stores, restaurants, rental cars, and so on. Okay to-go breakfast, has mini fridge, no bathtub, the door to toilet can be quite snug, decent balcony size. Valet price was okay for the location and accessibility. Pet friendly, so you might hear some barking from other rooms. They only have 2 elevators but they are fast enough with about 5min wait during rush hour. 20-25min away from the airport. Overall, it was a decent hotel.

Check in was smooth and the amenities were explained thoroughly. Maria was so kind and pleasant. She helped us celebrate our joyous occasion. The whole staff was great the entire time. I was very impressed by the quality and efficiency of the employees. Breakfast was great some mornings and okay on the other days. The hotel is ready for some updates but it’s kept very clean and the location is great. We parked at the zoo and liked it so much better than the parking garages. It’s cheaper and feels safe.

Pretty good for the price, great almost perfect customer service, the bell boy was beyond fantastic. The hotel is a bit dated and the occasional wind noise can be heard through the windows and doors but if you put a rolled up along the bottom of the door to your suite will eliminate all sounds. The carpets and deck are very dirty so prepare to wash your feet daily. I would stay again Despite.

I don't believe they ever vacuum the rooms. The breakfast was not good. It wasn't cooked well. We didn't like how we couldn't even see what we were getting. The carpet between the living space and the bathroom was coming loose. I cut my toe on a carpet tac because of it. The bar soap that was provided caused both my wife and I to break out. We had to extend our stay for another day due to a flight change and that was a nightmare! I was told it was all taken care of, then we came back and were told that they were fully booked and we would have to find somewhere else. After requesting to talk to the manager and pressing the issue, they finally allowed us to stay another night in the same room. The hide-a-bed was super uncomfortable. While the water bottles were a nice gesture, they were cheaply made so we just left them in the room. On the positive side, I want to say that ALL of the staff we interacted with were super helpful and friendly. It was nice having the purified water to refill our bottles. Given the nightly price of the room and parking ($45/day), I really didn't see ANY benefit from the "resort fee" ($125/day). That being said, I'm sad to say that we will likely not be staying there again.

We had the best stay at Hyatt Place Waikiki! Room was clean and comfortable. They upgraded us and let us check in early. This review is mostly for the customer service, from our early check-in, to the valet to the bartender we felt so taken care of! They even let you borrow beach chairs for the day. Would 100% stay here again.

Rooms were comfortable and we had oceanview. The continental breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of variety. Every day there was scrambled eggs/egg sandwich, a piece of fruit (orange or apple), yogurt, meat, (sausage or bacon) coffee and juice. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and close to many places to eat or shop. You can get two Boogie boards and two towels at the front desk to take to the beach which was a nice perk. The zoo is within walking distance.

Amazing hotel and very close to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large. We had 2 queen beds, a couch, a desk with a Keurig, a nice bathroom, fridge, and plenty of room to stretch out. The breakfast was the most efficient, quick, and delicious all-inclusive hot breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. It was so amazing to eat by the pool and watch the sun rise. The picture was looking out from the pool-side as it rose in the morning. They also offer free towels, boogie boards, and beach toys for the kids you can borrow. They also have free water bottle refill stations in the lobby. Definitely worth the stay!

Everyone was sooo nice and it was super clean. Close to the beach and tons of food and shopping stores close by.

These cakes are outstanding!! We ordered all of them and loved them. They have so many layers and aren't overwhelming at all. I had the regular but my family had the other slices and said they were amazing as well. They were quick with such a large order and knew everything in the store.

The pool area leaves MUCH to be desired. But the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Location is excellent if you want to be near the beach, shopping and Hilton Head.

Great hotel and wonderful place close to Wikiki beach. We received free upgrade also. Lots of activities near by. Tour specialist (Richard) helped us out with planning our entire trip including excursions in Kauai. Only drawback was breakfast. Due to Covid, they were serving few items and you can't sit and eat.
