My partner and I stayed here over an extended Valentines weekend. I had some work to do before our flight home, thankfully they had a business room. There was a deadbolt on the inside of the closet of a room with the label “lock for privacy”, which I proceeded to do as I had several meetings. Then in the midst of a meeting I heard a loud knock at the door. I opened the door to a female staff member screaming at me that the room is for guest use only. After replying that I am indeed a guest, she yells at me that I’m not allowed to lock the room as it also has access to storage… which is obviously confusing considering the previously mentioned sign instructing me to lock the door for privacy. Never in my life have I been treated worse as a guest of a hotel. She was honestly so aggressive I don’t feel comfortable addressing her directly even though I am now sitting in the lobby writing this, after cancelling the rest of my meetings due to the incident which totally embarrassed me in front of my client. Also worth noting, I have worked in customer service my whole life including guest services at a hotel. Roxy has no business being customer facing.

I stayed at the Park Shore Waikiki for 3 nights in late March 2022. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, directly across the road from Waikiki beach and the view from my room overlooking Diamond Head was amazing, however, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The air-conditioning in my room was incredibly noisy. The walls were very thin - I could hear everything going on in the rooms surrounding mine. Styrofoam cups were provided for coffee but no glasses or cutlery were provided (this would have been an added convenience). The room wasn't very clean either. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and hair in the shower. The worst thing though was that the water in my shower would not heat up so I ended up having 3 cold showers for my three nights at this hotel! I reported it to the front desk and maintenance was sent to my room. I was told by maintenance that I would have to let the water run for about 3-5 minutes before it warmed up. The next morning I let the water run for 15 minutes and it never warmed up. This was very disappointing. I really wanted to like this hotel. It was very convenient for a quick stopover in Hawaii and the views were amazing, however it was let down by poor maintenance and poor cleanliness.

Park Shore Waikiki was great! It’s in the perfect location right next to Waikiki beach. The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is clean. The pool area is great and has an excellent view of Diamond Head. While my friends and I stayed, they had a cool star gazing event on the pool deck where we got to see Saturn and different star clusters through a telescope. You also get a few free rentals of beach equipment (boards, umbrellas, etc.) for free, which is really nice. We enjoyed our stay.

My recent stay at park shore hotel was great! We had a large group of 12 (3 rooms total) My family got the 1 bedroom suite as we wanted space for our 8 night stay. The 'wet bar' is a great space when you have kids to keep snacks. I feel the space should've had a larger refrigerator vs a standard mini fridge. It also listed several appliances like a blender that was not in the room. The pull out bed was very dated but worked for kids just fine. The space only has 1 bathroom but works just fine-besides the toilet had issues flushing right when we arrived. We loved having 2 separate patio spaces, listening to the ocean all day and night as we had the best views! This place is absolutely the best location we were able to walk anywhere with young kids very easily. The beach is literally across the street and the rock wall makes it incredibly safe to swim all day long! Overall the rooms and hotel could use updates but I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. Staff is very helpful and friendly!

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing location, very convenient walking distance to diamond head and to everything in Waikiki. Also, it was the first time at a hotel where I felt like the resort fee was worth it because of the free beach rentals they provide through beach candy, in addition to the towels and nice pool. Only recommendation would be to improve the wifi speed, but cell service was great.

Overall, the stay at this hotel wasn’t bad. The standard room was smaller than expected. If you don’t get a room that faces the pool/beach your balcony will be very small. The staff did their best to resolve issues as fast as possible and were very friendly. Amazing view of the beach, which is across the street. In walking distance to restaurants, and shopping. I liked that they held your bags for you if you had a late flight after check out. I wish the check out time was a little bit lately due to Hawaii being on a different time zone. I didn’t like that if you didn’t have a suite that you had to rent a microwave from them (daily fee). The hotel does not provide breakfast. Also, if you rent a vehicle you will have to pay for daily valet parking. Shuttles are not provided for this location so you have to make your own arrangements to get to and from the airport or other outings/tours. I would suggest that the hotel upgrade their elevator control for only the hotel guest to have access to the rooms.

Stayed here for 12 nights and we loved it. The room was larger than it appeared in the photo and our 'partial ocean view' was perfect. You could easily see the ocean, as well as the park across the way. The room was clean and tidy and the AC worked well and was quiet overnight. We liked the coffee area downstairs and enjoyed the complimentary coffee every morning (we came back to buy a bag.) The lobby is also lovely and the quick access to the beach was perfect. If you want a resort experience, there are other hotels you would probably prefer, but if you are more interested in going out and about than this hotel is great value and in a lovely section of Waikiki. The service was great- every member of the team we spoke to or dealt with were friendly and happy to help. In particular we would like to shout out James on the front desk! On a final note, we had an excellent surprise during our stay as the hotel had booked Stargazing Hawaii to come to the pool deck one evening for stargazing. We didn't know about it until about an hour before but it was a lovely surprise and great experience. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you are looking to stay this end of Waikiki.

I stayed at this hotel during the week I got married and it was fantastic. I paid a little extra, but you get what you pay for. The view of the Diamond head and beach was absolutely gorgeous. The service we were provided was friendly and quick. We had absolutely no issues with our stay at the hotel. The valet was exceptional. It was very convenient to have the restaurant we had our wedding dinner at attached the hotel plus the discount for staying at the hotel and the complementary rentals for the beach. This hotel came with a lot of perks and benefits, including a fabulous location. I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

We have stayed here twice in the last twelve months, each time for seven nights in an ocean front room. The hotel location is wonderful -- the beach is across the street. If you are a weak swimmer, there is a huge enclosed area of calm water on this beach. If you love to swim in the shallow among fish then the left side of the pier offers this opportunity. The view from the ocean front rooms is great. We love to have breakfast on the balcony. The staff is helpful and warm. The ABC store at the lobby level has just about everything we need for food, snacks and drinks.

We stayed 3 nights at the Park Shore. The hotel was very dated and in great need of an upgrade/renovation. We had an oceanfront corner king room. While the views were amazing, the A/C could not keep up with the amount of heat that came through the windows and we had to keep the curtains closed during the day. The sink was clogged and the bathtub plug would not stay open so you had ankle deep water when showering. There was no sitting chair to relax -and the carpets were dated. The day we arrived, we opened the curtains to see the view and the were a giant greasy hand print in the middle of the sliding door (not sure how the cleaners would have missed that) so it didn’t I still confidence on the rest of the cleaning. All in all, the hotel was in a great location at the quiet end of Waikiki with the beach right across the street. We ate once at Lulus (room service) but it was subpar also. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We will not stay here again unless there is a major upgrade or renovation. For the price, I would rather spend a wee bit more for the Hyatt regency, Outrigger Reef or Hawaiian Village.

View from the room was fantastic! Overall service at the hotel was excellent. Lulu's restaurant was good as well. 3 things.. If you want a coffee pot in your room, you must request it (no charge). The sleeper sofa in the room was rock hard to sit on. Coffee in the lobby only available 3 hrs in the morning (I'm used to hotels having coffee 24/7 in the lobby). Thank you Park Shore for a wonderful Honeymoon stay! John 14:6

I'm not a connoisseur of fancy hotels/resorts, but I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location and proximity to the beach (literally across the street) can't be beat. The beds were very comfortable and the view from our balcony was stunning. Their valet service was also great - there was always someone available and their service was prompt. Definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a resort-type stay with true beach access!

Regarding Park Shore’s response… yes, we were finally moved after almost 3 days of complaining about the air conditioning constantly running and leaking all over the floor. We had to dispose of all food bought due to the wait for a room. The resort Fee’s were $599.00. Which we got ZERO DOLLAR refund, but we’re given a late check out. And, we owed an additional $9.60 for. DON’T BE FOOLED about this resort. It’s CHEAP FOR A REASON. just a terrible stay. DO NOT STAY HERE… VACATION RUINED. We stayed over March break 2023. Room air conditioning didn’t work and leaked everywhere. We couldn’t get service for 3 days. No TV remote in our room for 2 days. No help. Fire alarm went off by mistake two different nights at 2:30am. Front desk ‘help’ after 10pm looked stoned and was zero help. It’s cheap, but there’s a reason… it’s absolutely garbage. Pay a little extra and stay at a different hotel. Totally ruined our vacation.

Enjoyed our stay. We are in our 60's and the quieter location near diamond head suited us. The staff could not be any nicer! The Hawaiian coffee provided free in the lobby was excellent. The hotel and pool are spotless. The rooms need some updating and could use a comfortable chair but overall a very enjoyable stay

Where to start...one of our rooms was stinky, one of our rooms did not have working outlets, and one of our rooms didn't have hot water or working outlets. A bit disappointed in this hotel. It is in an extremely convenient location. The staff was helpful, however, our hot water situation was not resolved. A portion of the resort fee was returned in good faith but still not fun taking a cold shower. This hotel was okay but not necessarily worth what we paid. I hear the coffee was good.

Very good view of both diamond head as well as the beach. Taking a bus is a nice way to get around from here since the bus has a stop right out fron of the hotel. Service is good and was quick to check in.

In all my years traveling to Oahu ... 1st time staying at Park Shore Hotel. They have such WONDERFUL customer service.... true Aloha spirit. They take care kamaaina guests as well as regular visitors!! Convenient & super friendly valet parking service, and their location is absolutely perfect! In the heart of Waikiki but since its strategically located in Waikiki near the park/zoo end it's enough space to still enjoy a bit of calm/relaxation from the hustle craze that's in the center of Waikiki. I believe it's my new favorite place to stay when I visit Oahu now! Will definitely return again!

Can't beat the views from the Junior Suite. The staff was exceptionally customer centric taking care of every request. The valet only parking was fast, never waiting more than a couple minutes. The location connecting to Lulu's and an ABC Store was convenient. For an older building I thought it was well kept and a good value overall. Would stay there again.

Our room and all other spaces were clean, tidy, and comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. We had no issues during our stay. Additional conveniences: The hotel gives you a nalgene/water bottle when you check in and has a filtered water machine in the lobby. There's also free sunscreen and beach towels that you can use during the day and return. Guests also get free rental of beach equipment (body boards, etc) from Beach Candy, a nearby shop. Note: Be aware that parking is valet only, and there is a daily parking fee. There are also resort fees, which are not included in the room fee. This is the case for EVERY hotel on the strip! You will not find a better deal somewhere else, it's just the nature of Oahu hotels.

Perfect location beside Diamond Head, just on the edge of all of the commercial stuff, with the option to turn left and avoid all of that, or go right and shop to your heart's content. The beach is just steps away, across the street. The partial ocean view was beautiful, overlooking both the ocean and the park! The staff was friendly and always willing to help! I will definitely stay here again!

You can't beat the location. We took full advantage of all services. Free beach chair rentals, morning coffee in the lobby was delicious, I used the laundry room once, no issues there. The swimming pool area was well kept and inviting. The lobby is very nice and modern. The hotel staff is attentive to guest needs. Cons: Unlike the lobby, the hotel rooms feel outdated. We had a few issues with the vent/cleanliness. I still gave it a 4 because everything else was great and I hope this isn't the case in every guest room. We had several interactions with the front desk and other than the vent issue which took a few calls to resolve, they were very atentitive to our needs. Tip: Go for the rooms with view of Diamond Head with partial ocean We had 2 rooms. One with Ocean View and 1 with Diamond Head partial Ocean. Go with the latter. The view of Diamond Head is amazing.

Park Shore rooms are very nice, location is great but what makes it shine are the always friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Travis and his team on the front desk and to the GM for obviously creating a quality environment for staff and guests. You might find fancier but you won't find better. I gave rooms 4 out of 5 simply to say its not luxury but top quality

Loved this hotel. We were left a small but thoughtful gift for our honeymoon. The location is great, literally steps away from crossing the street to the beach and includes towel cards as well as a free beach item rentals from a store nearby. There's two ABC's that are also within steps of the lobby. Staff were kind and helpful, our safe stopped working but they sent a maintenance worker up within 10 minutes to have it fixed right away. Views were great with our partial ocean view. Since it's at the end of the strip of hotels, it's a bit less busy and less obstructions to the view. Within a two minute walk of Hawaiian Style Rentals if renting a moped is within your plans. Hotel is pretty clean considering the number of guests returning to the hotel straight from the beach. The furthest western end of Waikiki is walkable within 25-30 minutes which you won't even realize with the views of the beach. Will definitely be booking this place when I return.

Right on the beach! I stayed here nearly 10 years ago and still remember Andi, Michelle, and Macy who worked there during my stay. At the time I also knew the names of some of the housekeepers as well. It's a smaller hotel but I enjoyed the personalized services and felt like family. My day would start by asking the staff where there favorite local places were, and my night wouldn't be complete without sharing photos from the day with them. Absolutely loved this place and the staff who were more than accommodating (especially after booking issues due to Priceline).

Just what we were expecting. Great location right across the street from the beach. Beautiful views of Diamond Head and the ocean. Highly recommend the ocean front view. It's on the less busy area of Waikiki but was still pretty busy. You could hear street noise from the lanai, but I think that no matter where you stay, that will happen. It was quieter then further north which seemed to be more of a Las Vegas atmosphere. If you prefer less commotion, Park Shore is perfect. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. We were offered cleaning services everyday. The ABC store in the hotel was very convenient and had everything you could possibly need. The front desk staff and bell service were very friendly and on point. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in an absolutely fantastic location being at the end of the hotel strip on Waikiki beach and across from the Zoo. Right across the street from the beach and has 3 rentals at the beach shop each day included with the hotel fee. The rooms were average but the front desk staff were fantastic. It is a bit noisy due to being on the corner of two roads, but mostly on the weekend. The housekeeping on the other hand... When we arrived in our hotel room late at night, the faucets around the sink had not been cleaned of the beard hair shavings from the previous occupant and remained all over the back of the sink, into the sink and on the soap dish. It was immediately obvious so how it was missed by housekeeping, I do not know. As it was late, I cleaned up what I could with a tissue (gross) and first thing in the morning alerted the front desk. The front desk person was rightfully appalled and contacted the housekeeping department immediately. We went out for the day and when when we returned late afternoon, the bathroom had still not been cleaned. I had to go down to the front desk once again to request a cleaning of which it was eventually done. As you have pay an additional $50 a day on hotel fees once you arrive, this was pretty unacceptable. No compensation was offered.

Awesome service! Everyone was helpful and friendly, and it really seemed genuine. The staff were very knowledgeable when we had a question about taking the bus, where to find something, etc. We had an oceanfront king room and it was perfect. Views of the ocean and Diamond Head were amazing. We stayed for 5 nights and loved being across the street from the beach and within walking distance of so many shops and restaurants. We got 3 free beach rentals per day from Beach Candy plus free beach towel service and ocean floats to use from the hotel.

My husband and I had our honeymoon at Park Shore and I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel or location. Everyone was so friendly, the hotel was clean, and the view was amazing!! ABC is downstairs which makes shopping for local snacks and basic needs so much easier. The beach is walking distance or you can sit on your balcony and enjoy. Definitely stay here 🖤

My husband and I stayed here for almost a week and we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy and liked that there was a coffee maker plus a mini fridge. Our only complaint was the water cutting off while taking showers and hot water running out after a few minutes of using it. Besides that I think this was a good location to stay at.

Lovely hotel right on the beach. Amazing views, friendly staff and nicely appointed rooms. Rooms are on the smaller side, but plenty big for a couple. Prices are also very reasonable for the location, and rates include free beach chair/umbrella and paddle/surf board rentals. Pool was also really nice! Highly recommended.

We stayed for 5 nights. It is a perfect location for just about anything you want to see! Diamond Head and the beach/ocean views were beautiful! We would definitely stay here again! They gave us a number to text if we needed anything. Very quick to accommodate. We had a late departure and they let us store our bags there after checkout. Highly recommend.

The rooms aren't great, good, or even average for these kind of daily rates. The only attributes that keeps this hotel relevant is the wonderful staff and location. Would I book here again? I'll definitely compare other hotels.

This hotel went above and beyond our expectations and I'd outright say it's better than some of the glitzier hotels on the strip. First - Jon at reception was an absolute star and was so helpful for all our needs! The housekeeping lady was also so lovely and had a great chat with her when we ran into her We arrived as part of our honeymoon and were greeted to a higher room, champagne and chocolates. This attention to detail was 100% superior than the reception we got at the Sheraton hotels by the way which we paid more for. The hotel itself is perfect - great views of the ocean and Diamond Head, perfect location away from the main part of the beach and also the amenities included in the resort fee were great - floaties and 3 free rentals at the next door shop. We can't wait to return to Hawaii where we will book Park Shore without even thinking twice! Thanks so much to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly and efficient staff/service. Rooms need a bit of TLC but overall I would stay again. Beach access right across the street. This area is very touristy so if you like that then this area is for you. If not, pick somewhere off the path.

Had a pleasant time staying at this hotel. Literally steps away from the beach, and across the street from the zoo. It is also located right next door to an ABC store for all your last minute necessities (especially when traveling with children) Rooms were clean and presentable. Location was great! To the left hand side there is a small little breakfast/lunch spot and there is a restaurant available inside as well for quick grabs or last minute arrangements. The pool is a little small, but it's got a great view! The hotel does lend you beach towels to go out to the beach/pool. I believe they also have beach chairs and go-pro's available for your convenience as well. You have the option of valet parking, staff is great. They seem to only have one or two people working but they are fast and friendly. Never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for our car. The staff at the hotel lobby was friendly and helpful.

Honestly, this hotel needs remodeling on every level. My family and I checked in and when we saw our rooms, we checked out the next day and ended up staying at a Hilton Hotel for the rest of our trip instead. Our rooms (we had 3 rooms) were dirty and very small. They smelled like mildew. Unfortunately it reminded me more of a motel instead of a hotel. It was literally steps away from the beach but that’s the only good thing that came from the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until they remodel and change things. Sorry, I wish I could give a better review but I can’t.

July 27-July 31st Mediocre Tourists Options for entertainment and comfortable beach relaxing. Not a bad room view of the man made beach from the 12 Floor. Most Negative Part was the closing of their Swimming Pool at 7pm. Not accommodating to Vacationers at all. 10 PM or 11 PM sounds more reasonable. I won’t be back and would recommend the Macey’s or Hilton Village area for a better experience. On all the above.

  • 4/5 DOT 2 years ago on Google
The view to the beach is amazing and relaxing to wake up to. The hotel itself is decorated well but the particulars aren’t the best. Water rarely stayed hot in our room. It shut off randomly is our friends room. The rooms are small but it does the job for price. They don’t have ANY park and only provide valet for 45$ / day.
