Gym is the best I've worked out at, not only does it have everything you need mats, food/drink counter, bags, weights, rooms, sauna, shower, etc. But the community there is solid. Some of my best friends I've made in Hawaii have been at this gym, whether you're a fighter or a bodybuilder this gym is it. Mad respect to Juan Gomez too who seriously helped me out with my membership needs

I've been having issues with my membership (due to a different UFC Gym) but Travis, at this gym, was able to get it all sorted within minutes. Great customer service, Great Gym!

gR8 atmosphere with an equally gR8 staff. Join today and start to train different. #COOLHANDVETS

  • 5Divine D. 3 years ago
Definitely feels like home. Joined classes, made new friends. Learned from coaches, found the ones I like and know I can always book a session for their expert services. Do my own solo workouts or with friends whether it's group classes, weight training, strength or stability training. I knew after a free one week trial, I wanted to put in a big deposit to pay less monthly. Eventually broke even, so now it's profit for the value of taking as many classes as I want and 24 hour available entry to workout at select gyms. And with my "Ultimate VIP" membership I've visited other UFC gyms locally in Hawaii, nationally in the mainland like California, and internationally like at the grand opening of UFC Gym Singapore. I'm even thinking maybe I'll open up my own franchise someday, maybe in another part of Philippines more accessible to incoming businessmen and businesswomen.

(Translated by Google) During my stay in Honolulu, I bought a 1 day pass for $ 25 to see what an American gym would look like. I think it's very attractive that you can use it as many times as you like within 24 hours. I was able to train twice in the afternoon of the first day and in the morning of the second day. The types of utensils were plentiful and very good. However, this was the only place in Honolulu where Japanese was not understood w (Original)

Amazing front desk staff. Regarding the gym, very spacious and I've never seen anyone wait for equipment. Classes are numerous and diverse. 24 hour access is clutch

This gym is amazing. Not only are the staff cool a nice they actually do a great job at making me feel at home here. Amazing team with an amazing gym that not only provides the best workout equipment, it also has this sauna that helps me get rid of all the toxins from drinking last night😂I love this gym thanks man.

Amazing gym with great staff and very friendly members. On top of that, the gym is so freaking huge! I’ve never been to a UFC Gym this big. Walking from one end of the gym to the other already feels like a good warmup. They also have a good little food/snack area called the “Armbar.” That area even has live music every other Friday. For anyone that wants to work out, take dance classes, do mma, boxing, Jiu jitsu, etc. This is THE spot for your exercise and learning needs. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym.

  • 5Phantom A. 1 year ago
Greatest gym i have ever been to. It is pretty HUGE. The people are fantastic, they break down the lessons for easy follow, the instructors are pretty good! Most of all, they have a shower and locker room in the gym. And they got a octagon! Last but least, the gym membership are pretty reasonable plus you can take as MMA lessons as you can. Plus ambience and atmosphere is amazing. I only wish we have this type of gym in California. 10/10 would go back here again. This also have became part of the reason why, I wanna move here in Hawaii. Mahalo!

  • 5J. 1 year ago
If you have kids, the classes are awesome, for boys and girls! I take my 6 year old 2 to 3 times a week and it has been so good for him. Big thanks to the instructors! The parking is a little tuff, we usually ride bicycles.

Been coming to this gym for over a year now. I was super uncomfortable being in a gym. I joined because I wanted to train with Justin Benavente, he is a personal trainer at UFC gym (he also does massage anu cupping therapy). I've been training with Justin for almost a year now and have grown to love the gym. I can now do things on my own and that makes me feel empowered and confident. All the coaches and staff at the gym are super friendly and encouraging. I've recently signed my daughter up for youth jujitsu and UFC's (DUT) version of a HIIT class. She is loving it and has been so focused it's amazing to watch her grow. Another one of my favorite things to do is take all the DUT classes on the holidays, all the coaches are involved and it's super fun but an intense workout. I've definitely been taking advantage of all the free perks that come with my membership!! And I love having access to a sauna!

  • 5Ana S. 1 year ago
The ambience here is very alive, the music is awesome very upbeat. Every coach and class I've taken is exactly what I was looking for. They are all very nice and encouraging people, no judgement zone. They have so many classes to choose from and a wide variety of free weights and machines. The price isnt bad either. Totally happy with my choice. #iloveUFCgym #UFC #GYM

  • 5Jadine O. 8 months ago
Went a little after 8pm and gym was not as packed and able to use the machines we wanted. Nice that it is 24 hours now so we didn't need to rush. Can't wait to do the classes again, just time constraints on my part...waah!

  • 5Ronnie L. 3 months ago
Overall Im happy with this place. Pros: Lots of space overall, nice variety of machines, great fitness classes (I took Muay Thai so I go to the kickboxing classes), lots of heavy bags + red extra heavy bags, wonderful app to check in for classes, extremely fit men/women that motivate me to exercise harder, drinks/food upfront, there are spots and a large dance/yoga room and sauna where people can relax or chill. Cons: Not enough racks for squat/deadlifts, benches are usually full, weekdays 5-7p is so busy and a line for parking too, costs more than most gyms (but look out for multi year prepay discounts).

I’ve been a member at many gyms in the past but UFC Gym Kakaako is hands down the best experience I’ve had at any gym. Always greeted with aloha every time I step foot in the facility. Kris and the staff have exceptional service. Never once have I had an issue or bad experience. Glad to call this my home away from home:)

  • 5Leon BIGPAKE H. 6 months ago
Aloha; one of the better gyms I have ever been a part of. They offer everything you need from combat training, to weight lifting. They also offer massage therapy and child care when you need assistance to vet your workout completed. Only issue with this location is parking, which is really hard thing to get over.

  • 5Van L. 3 years ago
UFC is always open and always clean, which are both important to me. Furthermore, the atmosphere there is one of utmost respect. People are there to train and they are kind and respectful of other people's space and time by not hogging equipment sitting there on their phones and taking selfies. The staff is super nice and their trainers are the best. Ask for Chris Yoshikawa! He genuinely cares about your progress and really is there to help motivate you through the process. He's so knowledgeable of the human body too, which really will definitely benefit your training session with him.

The UFC Honolulu is by far the best exercise facility I have attended since moving to the island in 2017. I have been a member of this gym for 3 months now and the convenience of the facility, friendly ambiance, and cleanliness of the equipment/atmosphere have been the strongest influences on my consistent return. If you happen to stop by, I recommend you ask for Josee at the front desk to help you get settled in with the gym and what it has to offer. If you’re looking for a good trainer, you should definitely talk to Reggie. 10/10 would recommend to all of my friends and fellow students living in the Honolulu area.

  • 5Anthony S. 3 years ago
The best of the best on Island. Dealt with Juan Gomez - the Assistant General Manager and was treated like Ohana. This gym has everything, and more. Best, it is a 24 hour operation. Want to train like a world class athlete, then head over to this world class fitness center.

  • 5Jules B. 3 years ago
This is my favorite place because it truly is a gym for EVERYONE. It doesn’t matter your age or experience, there is something for every member of your family. They coaches are amazing, and the beginner or elite athlete can get what they need out of this club.

Personally I am a huge advocate of appropriate lighting, whether it be at a restaurant or a grocery store and when it comes to UFC Gym, the lighting is perfect. Not only do the lights prevent the mirrors from showing my true Gumby like form, they give me the confidence I need to push through a workout.

The assistant GM Juan Gomez, sold me on the gym. He was very personable, available, and sensitive to my pre- existing injury’s and financial limitations. The ability to audit every class a couple of times as well as sessions with a trainer/PT allowed me to better gauge what I can still tolerate as 46 year old broken down soldier, and UFC gym to up sell a membership package. And my wife’s lengthy trial member sold her on health and fitness again, getting her back in the gym for the first time in over 20 years, which absolutely would not have happened with just a 3-4 day pass. Also the boxing couches and class instructors were flexible, understanding of my injuries and quick to alter training to accommodate me. One more thing, in most every big commercial/corporate/chain/franchise gyms(24hr fitness, planet fitness etc.) I’ve been to walking in and going up to the front desk is akin to a wounded fish straying into shark infested waters. Had any sales predators smelled blood and started to circle I would have immediately walked away costing both the gym and myself an opportunity. But that wasn’t the cast. I was immediately referred to the assistant GM who, didn’t pressure me or attempt to “sell” me. His approach felt to me as an attempt to educate and maybe show off the place. And his kindness didn’t end the moment he got money, so thanks Juan.

I’m pretty happy with this gym overall, been coming for a year, but parking is abysmal 4-7p on weekdays. 4-8 car line always which can be a 30 minute wait to PARK. If your schedule is flexible enough to avoid this it’s a solid gym but if this matters to you go somewhere else. Lifting equipment is very solid and I like the sauna a lot, clean and good vibes

  • 4Evan R. 1 year ago
Gym is large and semi clean. Parking is tough at peak hours. Some of the front desk staff need help with customer service and friendliness. Danny, Kawai, and Josie are great.

  • 4Stephen S. 1 year ago
UFC gym is pretty solid. They have a good selection of equipment, and the gym traffic is usually ok (I go in off hours though so...). They have been pretty on top of keeping their machines in good repair and available over at least the last four months. Most lifters rerack and wipe down, so that's a plus too. Areas for growth: The parking can be a bit of a traffic jam (at least they stopped the valet service). The dumbbells in the free space workout room are busted up with sharp plastic edges on some. The male side showers are a mess but functional (if you plan on using them). Hours are no longer 24/7 (blame the pandemic, hopefully full service will return someday)

  • 4Dubbya A. 1 year ago
It would get 5 stars if they worked out the parking lot situation. There is a tiny lot in the back and an alleyway that you can park in. If you’re lucky you might not have to wait in line to park but the gym is always packed during the day so you’re going to wait.

Love DUT classes and coaches are awsome.

  • 4Natalie M. 3 years ago
I like the equipment and different spaces that is available to everyone. I like the Suana that is in the bathroom. Your cleaners do a great job. And we really the people that take care of our kids in childcare. I give it 9/10 because some days parking sucks. But other than that I really like this gym. Much better than 24 hour Fitness Ala Moana.

  • 4B. 3 years ago
I love this place but can we do a better job with the cleanliness of the locker rooms and bathroom areas. I hate going in there after a workout or a class just to see it look like it hasn't been cleaned in days. Other than that the place is great.

  • 3Jonas B. 3 years ago
A very decent gym when not over-crowded. The worst part of it remains its members, and with attendance quintupled in the last two years, it’s difficult to recommend it.

  • 3Makena G. 1 year ago
It’s okay not the best not the worst. Parking can be hard but at meat your don’t have to pay for it. This is NOT a 24 hour gym. They try to advertise it as open all the time but it is 24 Monday to Thursday. Friday to Sunday the close at like 8 or something. Also the billing is weird… and the front desk is not friendly. Like I said it’s okay not the best but sufficient.

  • 2Salamander S. 11 months ago
For the most part I like this gym. It has new equipment and is fairly clean. However the blonde girl (Emma) who works at the check-in desk is consistently rude to the members. Her attitude can be described as nothing less than toxic. I am surprised she is still working here, as she probably looses the company a lot of money in memberships. Hope they deal with this soon

  • 2Stephanie W. 2 years ago
I signed up with UFC right around the time after the first COVID shut down. Originally I had just enrolled myself and then after a month and a half I added my husband. I was told that I was being switched from the $59.99 membership to the $89.00 membership. Turns out they just bumped up my membership and then added my husband on another membership under my same credit card, making me think that I was only paying $89 for the both of us since you can supposedly bring a family member with you. They had my husband sign the updated contract as well, but little did we know it was another contract! We just thought he was being added on to mine which why they bumped me from 59.99 to 89.99. What they actually did was not only bump me up to pay more but then they charged me for another membership under my husbands name when really all wanted was him to be added to my account as a guest since you’re allow to bring one person! In addition to that that they charged me 2 annual fees. Regardless of when you sign up they will charge you on October 31st per person! Which is crazy because they were shut down most of the year due to Covid. When I called to question the billing an employee named L-Jay was so rude to me and refused to let me speak with a manager. He wouldn’t hear me out or let me explain what I was showing on my bank statement. He made me feel like I was lying about the charges. When I asked for the customer service line he told me to look it up online. I can go on and on about what was said, but the fact is ...it was handled very poorly! I refuse to give my money to a gym who doesn’t care about how they treat their customers. My advice to anyone wanting a membership at UFC is to be very weary of what you are signing. There’s a lot of hidden fees that they don’t tell you about and if you need to make changes to your account.. make sure they explain to you what you are signing. If you can, don’t give them your credit card information!

  • 2Kingdom M. 2 years ago
The gym is really nice. The facility is clean and there is plenty of equipment. Most staff members are friendly. However, DO NOT trust these guys with billing. I would not keep a credit card on file. Use a virtual card and set a limit on the card for the gym. You may get random charges or be charged for more than expected and when you try to address it they are rude and not helpful. If there was another gym with boxing equipment and decent weights I would go elsewhere. Read the other reviews. If you get random charges or overcharged don't say we didn't warn you.

  • 2sean b. 1 year ago
Great gym, but billing is a disaster. #1 said i had to freeze account in person. Billing date was on 12th so i went and froze account on the 11th. I STILL GOT CHARGED for the entire month. Aparently you also have to give exact amount of time you will freeze the account or they just open it back up and charge full price with no warning. So I pay for the month but explain that i would like to freeze my account for max time of 6 months. Girl says ok all good i got you. Next month comes and again I am charged full price. After recieveing email from manager who said would do me a solid and void the full price charge I have yet to be refunded or heard anything back. It has been a week, and of course their phones go straight to a full mail box. Gym is dope, butmanagement and billing not ok.

Appalled at the level of disrespect, dishonesty, and rudeness that i encountered at this gym and by Danny (Danielle) especially. So gross that the workers here are overcharging multiple customers and are trying to get away with it by lying, not answering for customer support, and saying rude things to customers. Wish I never went here in the first place. They are scamming their customers and think they can get away with taking people money and charging them without consent. Please do yourself a favor and don’t go here. Here is corporates number to get your money back, don’t let them get away with it 877-2-UFCGYM

Very unfriendly staff. The lady ( little, wears glasses ) that was at the reception at 12pm on the 21st of April was very rude. I was training at the gym with a gym pass for month. I used to speak so highly the UFC gym and had so much fun going there. I used to tell all my friends about it and posted a lot of stories. When I was there today, I wanted to join my friend for training for this day only ( but my gym pass expired ). I told the lady, that I’ll be leaving the island soon, that’s why I can’t get a new pass. She didn’t understand it at all and actually talked to us for a few seconds only before she continued talking on the phone. I was driving and we were looking for a parking spot for a long time. I just don’t understand why someone would be that rude and make you feel so bad. It’s not only the fact that she sent me back home but also the way she said it was very rude and unfriendly!

  • 1Ola O. 2 years ago
The gym advertised $21 for 21 and the terms and conditions do not specify residency. I was charged $130/month, given the fact that I was in Hawaii just for 3 weeks. I called back 3 times to get clarification on the ad and what I was charged for, they would placed me on hold for hours and hours. I got really frustrated and went back to meet the guy (Ricky) that signed me up. He said that I was wasting my time and he said the residency conditions applied. I am like you say something that is different from the terms and conditions of your ad. The staffs are not professional. I do frequent Hawaii and I will never return to this location again. I will opt for other gym with better service.

  • 1Granya B. 10 months ago
The employees at this gym are dishonest and actively committing fraud by continuing to charge your account after going in and cancelling your membership. The workers aren’t able to provide basic customer support. Danny and Juan are particularly terrible as they will convince you to workout there and if you try to cancel your membership they will not submit it. Only become a member if you want your money stolen from you

  • 1Kai C. 8 months ago
I like how they have childcare and a smoothie bar, but a lot of their treadmills no work. Switched to 24 and still getting billed after canceling membership. Here is corporates number to get your money back, don’t let them get away with it 877-2-UFCGYM

  • 1Tommy G. 8 months ago
I used to speak highly of this gym until they continued to charge me after my cancellation. A LOT of people experience the same thing, but I didn’t think it would happen to me. After you cancel with them, CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD. Very dishonest staff. Members: file a complaint with The Better Business Bureau. It takes 5 minutes and makes a difference.

  • 1Carolina P. 6 months ago
Very dishonest company. Do not signup for this gym. They mess up your private information and have zero financial and membership organization. I did a trial at the beginning of 2020 before they closed due to the pandemic. I canceled it and spoke with them several times over the phone because they refused to process my cancelation. Last year they called me, reporting I owed money for a membership that did not exist. Today, I received a call from a collection company saying I owe $400 again for a membership canceled in 2020.

  • 1Nathaniel V. 5 months ago
Dishonest staff that do not follow through with promises regarding contract term. After signing up to a three year deal that was guaranteed to have no additional expenses, I continued to get yearly fees on top of the lump sum I had already paid. Two years after I started, they informed me my membership was almost up. I asked Juan, the staff member who signed up myself and my classmates, to help resolve the issue. He kept saying he would look into it and fix it for weeks and months, until he just started ignoring my calls. Would not recommend UFC gym or Juan to anyone considering a gym membership here.

  • 1Jessica W. 2 years ago
I agree with the previous post - don’t give them your credit card information! I signed the membership cancellation papers early last year, was free and clear from my membership, and just now received a random charge on my card. I have contacted them multiple times to get this resolved but they’ve basically ignored me and told me I had to submit and claim and do all this legwork to correct the fraudulent charge. I cancelled my membership a year ago! Management is unhelpful and clearly inept and customer service is terrible. Also this gym is extremely dirty.

  • 1Dominik V. 4 months ago
This gym has very untrustworthy processes when it comes to billing. They say that your membership is cancelled, but then keep charging you for months. Don't come here, it's not worth the constant back and forth emailing with rude management, and constant CC fraud reports to the bank that come as a result.

  • 1j. 2 years ago
100% does not adhere to covid restrictions or enforce any mitigation strategies. Nice equipment but terrible everything else. The gym has virtually now parking as a result of it always being packed. I have gone at 7 am and at 9 pm, no matter when you go... it’s overcrowded. This problem directly affects the availability of equipment. People take forever on equipment sometimes with rotations of more than five people on one machine, even during covid. Additionally, equipment is often out of repair for weeks on end when the solution is as simple as ordering a new pin for the weight stack.

  • 1Summer B. 10 months ago
Honestly one of the biggest scam gyms i have ever come across. Danielle Poltz was especially unhelpful, rude, and dishonest on multiple occasions to me about the status of my account. They will continue charging you after you cancel your account. Committing fraud, absolutely disrespectful and will be telling everyone i know to not go near that place. No wonder they have a 3.8 review and it’s only going to get lower. Do your self a favor and get a pass at and other gym that has integrity and values customers needs.

  • 1mike z. 11 months ago
This gym is dishonest and do not recommend for military service members. Living on the island for three years, I signed up for a two year deal, which they offered is cheaper because you are paying up front. After the two year deal they informed me they would need to recharge an activation to go month to month ($149). After doing the month to month for almost a year I notified them I was moving In the next two months and what do I need to do to cancel the membership. They informed the membership cannot be cancelled until you are within three weeks of your desired end state. Once I got within the three week window, I told them I wanted to cancel, which they informed me I would be charged for the additional month following because you have to cancel more then three weeks out. I s loaned to them the whole military movement of PCS which negates having to pay for something when I am no longer on this island. I have tried to gain a refund but they are refusing to do so. This is ridiculous.

  • 1Omar J. 2 years ago
Do not trust these people with your debit card, they took $251 from my account in unwarranted fees and charges, after paying them in cash for my membership. When I called to ask about it,they gave me the run around and than finally told me that there isn't anything they can do since the payment was already deducted,no refund or anything,i am out of $251 never to get it back. They will lie and cheat to get you to sign up,and once they have your money, you can feel as if they simply just don't care.

I’ve gone to UFC Kaka’ako for three years now and I really love the gym and especially the employees, but it just has the worst most repetitive music ever. I was out for over half a year, and I came back to the same 5 songs blazing so loud I can’t even block it out any longer and it’s just nauseating. Please get some variety and turn the sound down to a level where we can at least block out the horrendous repetive music PLEASE 🙏🏻

  • 1Derek H. 3 years ago
The gym itself has quality equipment. But the customer service is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. The gym has owed me a refund for an extra month I was charged and they have been unable to process my request now for almost 3 months. Management refuses to return phone calls, texts, and emails and they originally claimed that they didn’t believe the promotion was legitimate when I signed up. They made me prove my case with photos that I needed to provide. After providing photo evidence, they are still adamant that there’s nothing they can do about it. “It’s a corporate issue, not us.” Bottom line is don’t trust anyone at the front desk or any of the management. I’ve never been more happy to leave a gym.

  • 1A. 1 year ago
Make sure to ask the contract paper. After a month they gonna charge extra $60 for ridiculous reason. I asked to deleted my card information, but they keep charging with my card. You'll lost money if you think a they will not cheat.

If only their janitors were more consistent with cleaning the bathrooms. Burnt out lights (previously for months), rubbish all over the place, filthy floors, no soap and CLOGGED UP SHOWER DRAINS. Who wants to bathe in another persons' filth?! For crying out loud, I don't understand why you guys can't do an hourly check-up sheet for your janitors simply for accountability sake.

Wait time for a squat rack can take upwards of 45 min. People trying to park on the side become complete animals during the day. Equipment has been old and busted for years now, barbells especially. AC hasn't been functional since… well, forever. Summer is unbearable with no ventilation at all. One of the coaches tried to cheat me out of a parking stall up front, saying it's for the manager only. I parked anyway and went in to ask the manager. He said it's open to anyone.

I've had this membership for a while. Pricing has been pretty good. However, I have not been using my membership for about half a year now and wanted to cancel my membership online. UFC Gym has made it so that we are not able to cancel our membership online. It seems that they want to make it as inconvenient as possible for you to cancel your membership so that it is less likely they will lose a customer. Very disappointing.

Parking stalls are taken for vale services. Either pay for vale, park on the street somewhere or get lucky.
