***Day 91 and love this place*** If you are a DoD cardholder, stay here. We spent 76 days in the Hale Koa, 10 days at Tripler Lodging, and now here. It's a great place to stay because of the following: 1. Centrally located. Close to Waikiki without the traffic. Close to the NEX. Short drive to AMR, TRIPLER, SCHOFIELD, WHEELER, HICKAM, and attractions. 2. No parking fees! Hale Koa is $110/mo. 3. Continental breakfast. Much better than Army IGH. 4. Larger rooms. You get a private bedroom and a family room. 5. Two TVs with internet and NetFlix 6. Large laundry facility 7. Swimming pool 8. Small concession to buy food, drinks and snacks. 9. It's FORD ISLAND! It's historical! Drive down the road and view the USS Arizona from the shore! Take the tour of the USS Missouri and the Museum. Fish from the southeast point! Collect seashells on the south shoreline. Walk the historical trail. Visit the USS UTAH. All of this and more... Right here on Ford Island. 10. Subway, barber, and PX/shopette just down the road. 11. The price is right! We paid $155/night. 12. Pets welcome. The dog hookup spot is across the street. 13. Awesome views 360 degrees. Hit the HELPFUL button if this was beneficial for you! Free breakfast, mini snack shop, pool, patio, playground. Front desk staff very polite and helpful. Staff at breakfast area extremely helpful. Military affiliate only.

Enjoyed my stay. Rooms were big, kitchen available, and the staff was friendly. There is a laundry room on site, continental breakfast is available, and there is a well stocked store. The Lodge also offers shuttle service to the Navy Exchange.

A good hotel if you have pets. There is a free breakfast every day. They have ample parking. They do not have a business center, so if you need to print something you’ll have to find somewhere else. The rooms were decent size and there is a kitchenette. There is a fridge with a freezer. There were a few assorted pots, coffee maker, toasted, mugs, glass cups, plates, bowls, a colander, and utensils. They will clean your room every 4th day. Employees are friendly and helpful. They had a vending machine and a laundry area that takes quarters. They do have a machine to get quarters if you have cash.

Our stay was really comfortable, we had 2 queen beds and a kitchenette w 2 electric burners, a microwave and coffee pot. The kitchen comes equipped. The living room has a TV and DVD player, a foldable couch and a small table w 3 chairs,a desk and an accent chair. The front staff is very nice and helpful. The lady who cleans the 3rd floor is wonderful, and incredibly sweet. She cleaned our room very well and provided towels and toiletries. We would def stay again. I just wish there was more options for breakfast. They have 3 types of cereal, toast, plain bagels and sweet bread. Milk, coffee, water and OJ. Blueberry and strawberry yogurt. Hard boiled eggs and oatmeal packs. Sometimes they have the waffle maker out, not all the time, I'm not sure why. They also have a pretty big gym with a few dumbells, ellipticals, bicycles, treadmills and Smith machines. The pool is always really clean and it's a nice size. They also have a few floaties out there for babies. We stayed there a month and we were very happy with our stay. The rooms are clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

The room was okay. I had to live here for a month waiting for housing and the wifi would disconnect every 5 minutes making everything impossible to do. And when it was connected it was the worst wifi I’ve ever had. The room size was decent for a hotel but there seemed to be no area to really “walk” there’s barley room between the beds and the TV and the bathroom and kitchen area were to small and cramped to do anything with. Overall was a really bad month.

Aug2021-Great place to stay if you have kids and pets. Not very big rooms and not very fancy but basic and clean. The amenities include a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers (specifically bldg2) a pool (which is cleaned everyday and is stocked with great outdoor furniture) a big dog park right across the street with beautiful views and basic breakfast in the morning (includes cereal, granola bars. Oatmeal, milk, teddy grahams). The rooms come with basic items that you can use during your stay. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff is fantastic. They are really friendly and local with very great tips on places to try. We have made friends with quite a few of the staff! The pool

Loved staying here! The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. Especially Anju at the front desk, she bent over backwards to help us get into a family suite when the room we were assigned at check in wasn’t quite big enough for our family of four and our two dogs. She was AWESOME!!!Obviously it’s not the Hilton on Waikiki but the rooms are really nice, the staff are very helpful, and it’s a great price. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Navy Lodge for 8 days for a PCS off island. The location is great for a commute to JBPHH. We have a dog and love how pet friendly it is here. Lots of space for the pups to play outside. We're on the first floor. It's just two of us, and our room has a sofa bed, full bed, separate bathroom, table with two chairs, AC and fan, desk, kitchenette with microwave, two electric range burners, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, and toaster. The bed is small and uncomfortable. We've noticed some ants/bugs, which is typical in Hawaii, but just giving fair warning. The rooms are a bit older and the property itself is older. The staff is really friendly and the property has really pretty landscaping. There is a laundry on each floor, $1.50 for a wash and 1.25 per dry. It takes quarters and there is a change machine. Cleaners come through every other day or so. There is a free Continental breakfast each morning. Very basic, with bagels, coffee, cereal, fruit, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. It's hard to get food delivery and very few food options on the island, and it's been hard to get Ubers (we shipped both of our cars) and have had to have friends help us with rides. It's basic with no frills, but spacious and we've had a pleasant stay overall.

Great place to stay on Ford Island. Historic, and wonderful views of Oahu.

Great for PCS since it will be within your TLA. Furthermore, you can change the length of your stay as many times as you want for free, which is a great reassurance as you attempt to find local housing. They allow pets if you are bringing them. There is also a mini Nex with your daily food/alcohol needs, which alone makes it way more convenient than the NGIS on Pearl Harbor.

The room was huge, clean and had everything I needed if I wanted to stay scuttled away. The grounds were nicely kept, just be careful to not park under the trees. The birds go will leave a mess all over your car.

Very disappointed with my stay here. The elevator breaks down numerous times a day and they do not have the budget to fix it. It has been this way for over a year and a half. There is extensive black mold in the air conditioning units and I got very sick as a result. I had to leave due to these problems.

Lots to say about staying here. -Employees are nice and do the best with what they’re given. -WW2 building made of cement = terrible WiFi and cell service while inside your room. Not their fault but still an inconvenience. - Coffee machine for breakfast breaking constantly. Should seriously consider have multiple especially with how many people stay here. -laundry is expensive 1.50 per load for washer and 1.25 for dryer. Quarters only. ATM in lobby and the front desk will provide change which is nice -Rooms don’t get that cold even on the lowest temperature for the AC unit. -LOTS of bugs around the property. It’s not uncommon to see a dead roach in the hallway every day that’s been stomped on or died otherwise. Dog food in the room attracted ants so store it in an air tight container. -Pool goes to 6ft deep and is a nice activity for the family. -Plenty of parking -Convenience store in the lobby is alright it has a okay amount of items but you can tell things sit there for a while and don’t get cycled regularly. -Pet friendly no issues at all. -No family rooms available for a dog, spouse, and two kids… wish they were able to provide more information ahead of time instead of day of. -Seems like the more funds need to be provided to property to be better maintained.

Stayed here for 10 days during a very stressful PCS. My visit here made things even more stressful after having issues with housekeeping which were addressed with manager with a poor outcome. Stayed in several Navy Lodge locations throughout my naval career and this location was by far the worst. Nevertheless, the area is nice, front desk staff were gracious. The store in the front was convenient. Just make sure you stay on top of housekeeping.

The review is in regards to the building. I plugged in a 65w item (laptop charger) and the plug sparked, and the cable was burnt through ruining my property. It also took out the power for the whole room (lights, TV, etc). Front lady stated the electric wiring was old & they would put in a maintenance ticket. So we were left without lights in room, without TV, etc. Also the elevator is not wired correctly and it does not land on proper floors. The sign posted is dated for April, my stay is in Nov (7 months unfixed). You push the button for floor 3 and it stops at floor 2. So, old wiring throughout building. Staff is friendly and very nice. Whomever owns the property, needs to invest $$ in updated electrical.

This is a great place to stay! The island has a 4 mile running/walking path that is amazing for family walks. It's a short drive to restaurants and stores. The nearby mall is a nice way to spend an afternoon. The hotel has nice rooms with decent amenities. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Definitely recommend this hotel over the ones available on the main base. I think you get more for roughly the same price.

My first stay here was in 2019, the room served it’s purpose. The staff was professional and courteous. Fast forward to 2022, you could tell they became careless. The property looks not maintained as it previously was. The moisture in the room is disgusting. I understand that the pandemic and the Red Hill crisis would make management make the necessary changes. In addition it should be a laundry room on each floor versus than it only being four washers and dryers. The dryers are money hungry and they need to be replaced.

Excellent stay at the Navy Lodge for a PCS. Marjorie (manager) really worked hard to make sure that the stay met all of our needs…A+ service!

The only bad thing is the area. Being here without a car, it's a 30 min walk to the end of the bridge. They have decent vending machines, breakfast included, and a decent minimart, which is all nice extras in my opinion.
