This is an extension of the Hale Koa Barefoot bar -- same prices/drinks/military discount etc. This bar has a FANTASTIC view of the ocean and of Diamond Head. Seating is pretty limited here, so if you're with a larger group I recommend the Barefoot bar instead. Great place for a relaxing drink by the water!

This place is so relaxing. Let’s say you had a rough year. Maybe you started the year by implementing laws forcing tech companies to bypass encryption and access secret backdoors in their products so you could spy on your own citizens indiscriminately and in complete secrecy; and you also opened up a huge new coal mine in an area of your country that was renowned for its natural beauty, incredible and massively important ecosystem, and attractiveness to tourists, without any regard for the effects this mine could have on the climate; you led an “increasingly regressive force” of a government that was ranked dead last among 57 countries in climate policy; you also probably had it rough when your government was downgraded from “open” to “narrowed” because of your recent police raids on journalists, the growing trend of prosecuting whistleblowers like Witness K, and the increasing crackdown on peaceful protest (how tough it must have been for you to oversee law enforcement officers who strip searched teenagers and arrested them for engaging in peaceful protest); you ran a government whose citizens reported the lowest trust in government ever recorded in your country; and then, to cap it all off, your country experienced some of the most massive bush fires the world has ever seen in conjunction with record breaking high temperatures, causing incredible loss of your own citizens’ lives and property. If that happened to you, you’d clearly need to escape and unwind. I can think of no better place for that than Koa Oasis beach bar. How good are their Piña Coaladas?!

Beer with a view: this shack was my favourite place in entire Waikiki. Kona longboard from tab never tasted so well. Hidden behind Fort Derussy Beach park this shack has something unique. You can sit here for hours do surfing in shallow waves and still enjoy your beer. Favorite place among the locals.

Good drinks $12.50 ea, Pina colada was surprisingly not too sweet but also not very strong, the Mai Tai was great and much stronger pour. 7yo had a massive guave juice for ~$3. You can't beat the view and there were lots of tables and open seats, although very little shade late afternoon.

one of the best spots in Waikiki to witness the beautiful Hawaiian sunset! with cocktail on hand, sands on your feet and a nice warm sun - this is why i call this island a paradise on Earth.

I kinda love this little shack. There aren't a lot of places to drink on the beach, outside of fancy restaurants. Kao Oasis is so chill. Super friendly service. Not sure why military discounts are so prominent, since last I checked we're not a fascist dictatorship and first responders don't get a discount, but que sera sera. A great little place to stop and pause and admire the beauty and the fun of tourists from around the world.

Love these little places along the beach! Drinks are reasonably priced and refreshing. We enjoyed numerous piña coladas and lava flows during the hot days and during the sunsets. The barman was very fun and pleasant.

Great place to watch the sunset with a drink, what else can you ask for? The guy running the stand was pretty friendly too.

Had a fantastic drink at this place while watching the happenings at the beach and in the ocean! Also took a lot of great pics with my Paper Shoot Camera!

This place was great!!! I find nothing more relaxing than a tropical adult beverage prior to floating on the warm ocean water. The bartender can make a mean drink and they are all delicious. This location has a military discount on pretty much everything. The guy running the shack was super nice, gave us recommendations for stuff to do in the area, and gave us water...not because we asked, but because we looked thirsty. Cannot recommend enough this place is better than the actual hotel bar.

Me and my husband enjoyed having cocktails so close to the beach. The drinks were tasty, we got a blue hawaii and a mai tai. Prices were cheap compared to the usual price of cocktails here. We saw a seal out in the water when we sat down. Super cool location 👌👍🤙

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of Mai Tai's each which are freshly concocted by Kimo, a super friendly guy. The setting is great, right on the beach with great views. The prices are completely reasonable. Just a short stroll from Trump International Tower behind the Army Museum. We came back the next day.

Great little place to catch the sunset with a nice, un-fussy tiki drink. I loved that my drink came in a disposable plastic cup but still had an orchid garnish- just the right vibe for me. The owner was super nice as well. The sign said they closed at 6 but he still had a line going by about 7 and was still serving customers.

Heartless guy was not willing to sell us 3 draft beers some minutes past the hour to help us enjoy a perfect sunset. First bad experience in wonderful Hawaii. Too bad for Koa Oasis Booze Shack.

IT IS OPEN AND AMAZING! This is truly the cutest beach front bar with little snacks (chips & hotdogs). Highly recommend for anyone wanting to sit by the beach at sunset! The drinks and service is truly the best we have received in Hawaii. I cannot recommend this place enough!

😐 We checked in here for a late lunch and it was a bit of a disappointment. The food was better than it looked like and the beer was alright as well. The place was almost empty and there were a lot of pigeons. I gave only 3 stars for the service because you order online and there's little interaction...
