While the main water fountains don’t work, there is a spigot on the right corner of the entrance to refill bowls/ jugs. Best not to come when it’s over 80’F. There isn’t a lot of shade. The only shaded bench is in the small dog area (35lb or under). Small pen doesn’t get much use so if you come in the morning when no one is likely there you can get a shady spot. Best time to come around 5pm during peak time if your dog is well socialized. Good people. Even better doggos. If you have any grocery bags, bring ‘em and tie them to the fence. Anything helps.

I love that there are two sections for this dog park, smaller dogs separate from the larger dogs. Great view. My problem is the water faucet for the dogs has been broken for a few years. And in the summer the grass is very dry and hard. I also worry about erosion at the far end, by the water. And the gate between the two sections needs to be fixed. My chunky monkey squeezed between the gap to go play with the smaller dog. Not good if there's an aggressive dog in the mix.

Nice dog park. Lots of space, and a little dog park as well. There isn’t much shade, and only one water spigot by the entrance to fill up water bowls. There aren’t usually doggy bags so make sure to bring some. There are some nice views at this park.

The park is well maintained and all the doggies had a good time

Great place to bring your dog just to let them run and enjoy the outdoors. Warning there is no dog water fountains they are all broke so bring your own water for your dog.

Good amount of space. Small and large dog areas. Large part has minimal shade, but small area does. Fountains don't work. Benches in both areas.

Mornings are hot here -cuz of the lack of shade. But early evenings are perfect. Nice breeze. Sunseting in the background. And it's sooooo much cleaner and less crowded that Moanaloa dog park.

Wonderful place to go for a run/walk/bike.

Huge open space for big dogs so my dogs can play fetch. Wish there was a little more shade in the big dog area and the water faucets in there don't work so you have to use the one on the outside of the gate.

Decent dog park. The size makes it worthwhile. It’s located across the street from the Navy Lodge so if you’re staying with dogs, this is a good place to take them and let them run. Don’t use the water here. Bring your own water and bowl. There are some benches and a few dog toys to play with but all in all, it’s fairly sparse. There are shaded areas to rest will you dogs goes ham here but mid-day temps and humidity can get high so be careful.

Really beautiful park, dogs are pretty well trained for the most part.

Water fountains are broken, no trash bins just bags....refill doggie bag container full of trash. Pros nice big space and you have the Ford Island walking path 👍

It's has space for the dogs to run and play, also has a nice few buuut not alot of shade in the large dog park, one trashcan when entering or exiting, no restrooms, water doesn't work, and no bags.

Nice park, very muddy... trash hasn't been taken out in months though...

OMG, Ford Island Dog Park is such a great place to treat your favorite canine! 🐕🐶 It is well maintained and there is ample space for both the big dogs and the lil ones.
