My goodness, this place is underrated, especially the garlic aioli!! The BEST I’ve ever tasted! Wish I could bottle it up and bring it home! Garlic fries were amazing as well! Hamburger were cooked perfectly and juicy. Definitely would recommend this place for some good food!

Our first time in Oahu so we tried a lot of restaurants but this one just blew us away with its authenticity and taste! The tacos, mac salad, and even regular salad are to die for. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest. A must if you are in the area

This place is amazing. One of my must go to every time I come to Oahu. Their food is so fresh, so simple, and so delicious. They’re known for their tacos, and they’re tacos are in fact amazing. But most everything else on their menu is dynamite! I’ve never had to wait for more that 15 minutes even during very busy lunch times. Bring your family, friends, but more importantly, bring an empty stomach! You won’t be disappointed.

Not enough seating. Ordered Cajun shrimp taco and Cajun fish taco and let’s just say they’ve never tasted true Cajun. There was nothing that hinted it had any Cajun flavor or seasoning. Kal-bi burrito was overpowered by the slaw that they added

Convenient and delicious place to get takeout. Love the fish tacos and fish burrito. It’s not authentic Mexican but it’s Hawaiian fusion style (has coleslaw) which I like! I also have gotten the veggie burrito which is pesto based (cheaper than the fish burrito but still tasty).

I asked the friendly guy what was a typical Hawaiian item on their menu and he said hamburger steak, so I ordered that. It was pretty good especially the fried onions. The hamburger patty was beautifully cooked. For me, a little more coleslaw would have been great but all in all it was a pleasant lunch.

One of my favorite places to eat in Oahu! No frills surf shack style place with delicious food. Their fish tacos are amazing and the plate meals have generous portions at a decent price. Super fast service with very friendly staff. Enjoy!

Perfect amount of heat in their incinerator burger! Delicious combo with a little Cajun spice, pickled jalapenos and Frank's Red Hot. Burger was juicy and cooked perfect.

Partner and I stayed in Waikiki for a week and came here twice cause of how good it was! Both times we had it after walking Diamondhead and it was what we needed. The tuna Mac and slaw are super fresh and delicious. I got the Oho salad and plate and both were delicious. Partner loved the tacos. Prices are very reasonable as well. Staff friendly!

One of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had the food was off the charts, staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing what we wanted. Definitely worth making your way down to south shore grill you won’t regret it! Got 2 fish tacos, 2 shrimp tacos, and 2 Cajun chicken tacos, and chips and salsa that were WAAAYYYY better than expected!

The tacos are indeed awesome! I had one Ono fish and one Steak taco with Cajun fries and tuna Mac. Loved it all. The staff was very friendly. It is a smaller place seating wise but definitely enough room. Worth visiting.

I love this place! I’ll start at my hotel, do Diamond Head and get some tacos as a reward. These is just a great plate lunch place. Grab a Mexican coke and a plate lunch and enjoy. The best part: there’s a plate to try it all!! The tacos are my favorite but the chicken is also very good.

Very good fish tacos ! The ono was very tender and seasoned perfectly. It was juicy and melted in your mouth . The place was very tiny with very few chairs / tables. The person who took our order was very friendly and nice. Prices average.

Delicious food in an unassuming venue. The fish tacos were amazing and so were the pork and chicken plates. Not much dine-in space or anything approaching a view, but if you're looking for good food then this is the right stop.

The surf and turf plate was the best. You can choose from either ono, garlic shrimp, kalbi, and bbq chicken. So worth the wait. Great spot for food near diamond head

Super understated nook, but amazing plates. I ordered the Kalbi, it was so well-marinated and tender. I would be remiss if I did not mention the sides-- the coleslaw was crisp and vinegar-y (heads up if you prefer mayo-based!) And the macaroni salad was AMAZING. Service and vibe was low-key but friendly.

A must in Hawaii!!! I swear by the fish tacos! Hands down best taco in the world and I travel! We came back jus to eat the fish tacos!!!!! The aioli sauce hits!!!! And the best Mac salad ever!!!!!! I love it here, they treat us like family. Aloha, mahalo 🤙🏽

I lived on the Island 13 years ago and would come here frequently. It was incredibly satisfying having lunch here today and everything tasting the same as it did so many years ago. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much! 🌺🤙🏻

True Hawaiian spot with the view of diamond head. The store has minimum seating but the food is great🔥 I had the veggie taco, fries and fish burrito. I wouldn’t drive here for parking is scare on this street.

Wonderful local grind. Went there 3 times during my stay on Oahu. I had the Mauka Makai (surf and turf) - I chose Ono and Kal-Bi steak. The main comes with rice, slaw and tuna-mac. It is filling and very delicious. Would come back here every time!

Fish taco tastes average, could use more seasoning as it is pretty bland. Good side is that the fish is not dry. Slaw is pretty good but pretty disappointed that a large slaw is only 1/2 a container full. Two fish taco’s portion is generous. Worth a try.

The food was AMAZING! TRY THE CAJIN ONO FISH TACOS! I couldn't get enough! We went back multiple times! So GOOD! Better than all the food trucks on the north shore hands down!

Good food. I got the threes burger which was yummy and my wife got the fish tacos. She said that they were good as well. The pumpkin crunch was a little burned on top but it was still good. This is a great place to go to get some good food, without a long wait.

    Excellent fish tacos (taco Tuesday)

  • 3/5 B B. 2 years ago on Google
The food and menu here is amazing. Flavorful and fresh and made to order. It loses about a star and a half for a few reasons. 1- Seating. There’s no where to sit here. And there’s no park or anything on the street for seating either. The burritos are great, but definitely not wrapped where you could eat them standing. One day we opted for Morey’s (also amazing) just cause we wanted to sit and also get a beer. 2- Drinks. They don’t offer much in the way of drinks and don’t serve alcohol. Kind of a miss. Really loved the vibe and food, but can’t recommend to everyone because of some of the limits of the place.

I usually don’t care much for wraps, but I actually enjoyed this one, and the look soo good.. If in the area, check out this place.

Tacos are super good! Make sure to grab some Franks hot sauce with your tacos. Highly recommend you stop by here on your trip to O'ahu

Tacos! Delicious fish tacos… but it’s the season for pumpkin crunch! It beats a pumpkin pie for your holiday dinner! 10 outta 10 would recommend +++

  • 5/5 Henning L. 2 years ago on Google
Super hungry when we got there. I chose the grilled chicken box. The salad coming with it was decent, the mac and cheese very tasty and the chicken well seasoned. Would give 4.5 if I could because the chicken was a bit overdone, but it was too good for a 4.
