I love going to church here. The long time priest, Father Lane.. connects to everyone who comes to service, locals and visitors alike. I especially enjoy his personal addition to the gospel's word of the day. He will walk along the isles and allow you to think about the reading with thoughtful questions and comments. I love the choir and musicians, ..and especially when there is Hula at the alter. The traditional Hawaiian culture is infused into every service with explanations of the history and especially Father Damien and Sister Marianne, now saints, understanding how the Hawaiian island Molokai played such a huge roll during the Leprosy contagion that nearly wiped out most native peoples. There is celebration of life, marriages, anniversaries, graduations, confirmations and baptisms at the alter at any given service. There is so much giving at the local level with the food kitchen and other generosities. And, the view across the street from the church.. the greatest!! I always feel renewed and part of something much bigger than me.

Visited this beautiful Catholic Church in Oahu, HI. It was an amazing mass with Hawaiian music. The priest, alter servers and some parishioners were barefoot! The mass was said in English with some Hawaiian songs. Beautiful stained glass windows and architecture.

St Augustine by the Sea is a wonderful Catholic community. Everyone is warm and welcoming, and the priests are genuine, spiritual, and full of Christ. I particularly was moved by the blessing in Hawaiian, and the traditional Hawaiian liturgical dance by some of local community.

I rated 4 stars because of the parking situation there, we don't like it. No place to park. The Mass was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the choir was amazing!! His voice was so warm and beautiful. Love listening to the natives tongue when they sang, very spiritual. The Father's homily was touching and made me cry. About all the homeless there, being ignored and starving.

This is a place of calm in the middle of a very commercial area of Hawaii. It has a number of services each week and especially on Sundays. They also support the homeless here by providing meals and other assistance. The priest gave very good homilies and he also sings very well and leads the music with a beautiful baritone voice. The church is so beautiful and has priceless stained glass windows. That are also places in the church for the physically impaired. The sanctuary is easily accessible by wheel chairs. The members of the church greet you at the door and guide you to the correct location depending on your walking ability. During our visit we were kindly greeted and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the church building. Be aware that there are to collections during the service. These collections are for a variety of needy organizations and people. One this time was for the retired priests and nuns of Hawaii Another was for the support of the people who live on far away islands where there was a recent underwater volcanic eruption. The money raised is used to bring water to this island. I highly recommend visiting this church. It is an oasisโ€™ in the middle of a very commercial location and is an opportunity to relax and think of your place on this world we live in. . When there is not a service the front gate is closed. There is al a sign at the front gate with all the information about sponsored activities.

Beautiful church with really welcoming people. The sanctuary is very clean and very safe and really nice and comfortable. The pastor was very animated and very caring. As a visitor, I was so surprised that everyone was so welcoming and it was nice to see so many Catholics right at the beach in Waikiki. The community here really has a good sense of faith and it is a really a joy to see

St. Augustine by the Sea in Hawaii is a wedding venue that exceeds all expectations. We at HNL Studios, have had the privilege of shooting in this location. The highlight of the venue is the St. Augustine Church. This charming church embodies timeless elegance. The church's intricate details, stained glass windows, and warm lighting create a beautiful backdrop for exchanging vows. As wedding photographers, we are constantly inspired by the stunning architecture and atmosphere.

This church is of interest, since it is staffed by the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Saint Damien of Molokai belonged to this order. The parish campus is where you can find the Damien and Marianne Museum,. which has been built, but has not filled because of COVID. The church is open a few hours a week, so plan accordingly if you want to visit the interior of the church.

Beautiful Catholic Hawaiian church! Have gone to mass here a couple times and they dress and traditional Hawaiian attire and if the choir is present they sing praises in Hawaiian! It is beautiful and full of life :-) if youโ€™re in town for mass donโ€™t miss it!

Great service. We went there twice during our trip. The morning (10 am) Sunday service had a more traditional Hawaiian vibe from the music and clothing of the aides. Location is very convenient, a brief walk from Waikiki Beach.

If youโ€™re looking for a more traditional Mass on island, highly recommend St Augustine. I attend the 5:30 Sunday Mass and itโ€™s very simple: one pianist, one presiding priest (deacon on 2nd Sunday of the month), and a few ministers. The Sunday morning Masses are much more full and contemporary, but they do a great job of celebrating the liturgy. Plenty of parking in the back of the church and within walking distance from the hotels and restaurants in Waikiki.

Beautiful church with a lot of history. It's always great when you can be away from home and still find a place of comfort to worship.

A wonderful place to attend Mass. Wonderful Mass celebration. Close to our hotel. The Covid protocols in place were good. We had to reserve a place for Mass, to keep with social distancing.

Beautiful and historic parish here on Oahu. Mass was wonderful. I didnโ€™t see a dedicated parking lot. I guess most parishioners are tourists or within walking distance. The stained glass all around the church is absolutely gorgeous. If I was staying in the area longer, I would definitely come for services again.

A beautiful church and service. The day I visited on my quick trip to Waikiki, I got to witness a couple renewing their vows and celebrating a 40th anniversary at 7am mass. The service was uplifting and just a really beautiful church! Made the day perfect!!

Impressive interior. I feel like I could be in Italy. Quiet and intimate even though Waikiki city is right out side the stained glass windows

Itโ€™s nice to come here and attend a mass in the evening, then watch the sunset right after. Our family ran into a nice gentleman who went here every Sunday morning for the past 20 years and then he would get a cup of coffee from McDonaldโ€™s in the mornings. Plenty of parking for church.
