We
went
here
for
dinner
near
the
end
of
our
stay
in
Maui
and
we
have
to
say,
we
wish
we
had
eaten
here
early
on
as
the
food
and
staff
were
so
good,
we
would
have
gone
back
a
few
more
times.
When
we
arrived
we
were
quickly
seated
after
a
few
COVID
protocols
were
followed.
The
waiter
Suke
came
over
and
introduced
himself
and
it
just
kept
getting
better
after
that.
Suke
was
clearly
knowledgeable
with
a
warm
and
friendly
disposition.
He
made
some
great
recommendations
on
the
meals
and
wine
pairings.
He
explained
how
all
of
the
food
was
prepared
fresh
and
all
of
the
pasta
on
the
menu
are
handmade
in
house.
The
food
came
out
efficiently
from
the
kitchen
where
Matteo
himself
was
running
the
show
on
this
night.
The
braised
short
rib
and
the
butternut
squash
ravioli
in
a
sage
and
butter
sauce
were
sublime
while
someone
else
in
our
group
had
one
of
the
best
lasagna
dishes
he
has
ever
had.
The
desserts
were
as
equally
delicious
with
a
flourless
chocolate
cake
that
was
so
light
and
decadent
it
melted
in
your
mouth.
The
absolute
star
of
the
dessert
options
in
my
opinion
was
Matteo's
own
take
on
an
Italian
favorite,
the
cannoli.
The
shell
was
light,
thin
and
freshly
made
with
almost
a
crip
cookie
texture
and
a
coconut
cream
filling
that
was
one
of
the
most
delicious
sweets
we
have
ever
tasted.
Last
but
not
least,
we
noticed
at
the
end
of
our
meal
when
leaving
that
Guy
Fieri
(Food
Network
star)
had
visited
and
also
left
his
stamp
of
approval
on
the
wall.
You
need
to
visit
Matteo's
when
in
the
area,
you
will
not
be
disappointed!
