Absolutely LOVE this place. We ended up going here several times. Love the hot hazelnut latte and vanilla latte. Our friends enjoyed the affogato coffee, fruit bowl, overnight oats, banana chip muffins and the egg and cheese croissant 🥐 was really good and fresh too. Amazing and consistent every time. Top notch if you're an espresso lover. ☕♥️

This little coffee shop is hidden just down the street from Kona coffee. The papaya boat extremely good and the coffee is very good as well. We came in around 8am and there was no line so it’s nice alternative to some of packed spots close by.

Beautiful little hole in the wall coffee shop with some food options. The staff was young but very friendly and professional. Their coffee list has all the typical drinks and a few interesting flavors, but I enjoyed a simple iced latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich on croissant instead of a bagel. They have a few CBD drink options which sound delicious, but I did not try one myself. With only a couple tables inside and a few more outside, you can sit down to eat but it seems to be more of a grab and go coffee and snack spot. There was one power outlet available if you really need to charge something, but I wouldn’t try to bring a laptop to work for too long. But I do give them bonus points because if you are ordering to stay there then your drink comes in a glass with a reusable straw, which was a pleasant surprise!

Skip the line at Kona Coffee and walk one more block to here! We had lattes and breakfast sandwiches and it was all great. Would recommend to avoid the crowds and still get tasty treats.

Coffee Shop 831 is an amazing cafe spot despite being a small place in the midst of Waikiki. Although there are many other cafes in the area, especially very popular ones, Coffee Shop 831 is a nice addition for one to visit. I visited this place on a Monday, which is now open until 3:00pm. I was greeted right away by one of the workers. She was very friendly. However, I was very surprised that they had no food available even though it's 12:40pm and the cafe is open until 3:00pm. Perhaps it is my lack of proper research, but I didn't see any information online that their kitchen to make food is closed at 11:00am. As a first timer to the place, I really wanted to try out their food even if it's something as simple as a bagel with cream cheese. And that's where the customer service comes in. The woman offered me a bagel with cream cheese even though their kitchen is closed. I agreed as, again, I wanted to try out their food. I will definitely return again before 11:00am to taste their other food on the menu. It is comforting to sit on the outside as well as the inside. It is a very small place, which means one must expect no seats if it gets crowded. It's a nice spot to have a chat with your friends or family. The coffee is also great. Just having the bagel with cream cheese is also really nice, which makes me excited to try out their other food items. While I was relaxing on the outside, I was surprised that the woman came out multiple times to check on me if I'm doing okay. Not many cafes do this in Waikiki. Another great factor to the customer service of this cafe. Overall, Coffee Shop 831 gives great food, good customer service and has a nice atmosphere. If you're a tourist, check out this place. If you're a work-goer, this can be a nice addition to your daily cafes to visit. However, be reminded that their kitchen closes at 11:00am even on Mondays.

This coffee shop was such a gem on our trip! As a huge coffee lover I was excited to find some local coffee shops while in Hawaii. Most that I had we’re very subpar and I really wanted to enjoy them :/ with that being said I was so happy to find Coffee Shop 831. Walking in the shop has a very cute setup and items for sale and a lot about their store ideology and mission. The coffee was 5/5 it was delicious. I just got an iced latte with lavender and it was delicious! What surprised me though were the breakfast sandwches! They are each made fresh on the stove and soo delicious. Its so rare to see a coffee place make everything fresh these days and it was such.a treat. I def recommend this place to anyone looking for some good coffee and breakfast (:

Wish I had found this cute coffee shop earlier in my trip. But no worries I managed to find it and I was not disappointed. Right off Kuhio drive tucked away in coffee heaven 🥰 I ordered the honey spiced latte and my friend ordered the pumpkin spice latte. Both very good and customer service was great. They offer a variety of coffee latte pour over you name it. They also sale their coffee. If you are in the area drop in!!

The service, the coffee, the flavors!!! Everything was amazing. The Kona pour over coffee was smooth, and the Honey Spiced Latte was divine!! The açaí bowl was full of fresh local fruit!

The oatmilk latte was pretty good, but the reason for the 4 stars is the service. Not sure if they were down a person the day I went but they were very inefficient. I waited about 20 minutes for my drink. I would go again in the service improves!

Visited the first day I was here. The papaya bowl was great but the caramel macchiato wasn’t that good. Came back on my last day to get an acai bowl, which was good but the yogurt is really hard. Can’t really mix it in with all the fruit. However I mentioned the caramel macchiato wasn’t sweet enough last time. So they added extra sweet for the order so they’ll add more syrup shots into it. Came out so much better.

We had our breakfast here... It was simply amazing, and the staff was friendly. I would go here every day. I know they'd make me smile, and that's how I'd like to begin my day. We had the Waikiki croissant, and Chocolate chip muffin, which was soo light, and coffee (supercharger and pour-over Hawaiian blend.) Everything was really good.

Cute little coffee shop that has a great assortment of flavored coffees! We got three drinks - lavender iced latte, white choco latte, and a classic latte. They were all delicious although we couldn't taste the white chocolate in the white choco latte so that tasted just like a normal iced latte.

Visited this place because Kona coffee place is packed with people! Tried out the papaya boat because it looked famous from this place, and oh my gosh, it was the best fruit bowl I have ever had. The price is reasonable as well. Please please try this guava boat, it is so delicious and fresh! Also very pretty 😉 Their coffee was also delicious. Note: It is a small cafe with limited space. I saw only few chairs outside the store.

Nice little hidden gem. Great coffee. Not a lot of seating unfortunately. Save yourself the 30 minute line in the overhyped coffee shop in the mall (Kona Coffee Purveyors), walk across the street and come here.

Coffee wise, this place is top notch. Local Koa pour over is worth the price. They also do espresso drinks so don’t worry :) The fruit bowl items are also really good, particularly the presentation on the papaya bowl. Overall it’s a toss up between this place and ALOH for health minded breakfasts (I give 831 the edge for coffee and ALOH the edge on food). Definitely check it out!

This is a great coffee shop. Both the breakfast sandwiches and acai bowls are amazing, and, oh yah, the coffee happens to be great 😍

Really good coffee. Wonderful to see the eco- /earth-friendly approach (sleeves, lids not automatically added) to this tiny local coffee shop.

When the larger coffee shop down the road had a crazy long line we came across this small coffee shop. We were delighted to find no line at the time. We got a coffee, a latte and 2 breakfast croissants. All were delicious and ready really quickly. I was a little bummed that they were out of the breakfast burrito, but we did show up a little after the typical coffee crowd.

My goodness people love coffee! In the case of Coffee shop 831 people love the smooties, croissants, matcha lattes, etc etc. That being said expect a bit of a wait. Coffee was fresh and locally sourced. Compostable straws, utensils, and cups are what’s up! Thanks Coffee shop 831.

Very tasty latte, the coffee is strong yet not too bitter. The location is pretty convenient and there's no line. Good for grabbing a quick cup of coffee. No indoor seating and very limited outdoor seating.

Nice little coffee shop right off the main road. The employees are friendly and know the menu well and can make recommendations. The cold brew is great, as is the papaya bowl. I highly recommend this coffee shop if you’re in the area. Support local businesses 🙂

Kona coffee purveyors is great, but if you want to skip the hour long line and get an equally good cup of locally grown and roasted coffee check out this local spot. It’s just as good (which both are amazing) and there is ever a long line. They have a small breakfast menu too with papaya boats, croissant sandwiches etc.

I ordered a large decaf latte with oat milk and it was delicious! Expensive but delicious. It’s about the same price as Kona coffee but it’s better. I will probably go here one more time before I leave. If you don’t want to wait in line and still want to get high quality coffee, come here instead of Kona. They also have some interesting CBD infused drinks as well.

The Waikikian Croissant was good. Avocado, Eggs, Bacon, Cheese on a croissant. Yummy. I thought the Latte was okay. The 2 people with me also had lattes but did not like them. The prices were pretty steep as well.

I got a green smoothie and a matcha latte here. The smoothie was mediocre, and the matcha latte was 95% milk and very watered down. We waited about 20-25 minutes for our food. Cute local shop, but don’t get the matcha here.

Food: relatively healthy feel, fresh fruit. Coffee (medium roast) not over-powering, balanced. Gluten free options. Ambiance: chill, non-tourist feeling, local Service: friendly, easy Bottom Line: definitely visit to get away from chain restaurant feeling

One of my favorite places for a healthy and delicious breakfast. Organic Coffee and Smoothies, besides the Breakfast Sandwiches which are a must. Love the decoration too and there is always Surfing passing on TV!

Really good drip and lattes. Smaller shop on a side street in Waikiki. Highly recommend this location especially since some of the other shops have crazy long lines...Finding good coffee on this island has been difficult, which is a bummer.
