Hans L'Orange Neighborhood Park

Park

😠 We were there visiting to play HPU. When one of the HPU parents warned us about the area and told us to keep an eye on or car and take everything out. With all the Covid restrictions and concerns Hawaii has about health and safety, they should vist the restrooms at that park.

This park used to be a safe nice place family would bring their kids to play on the jungle gym, see-saw, swings. Infestation of loitering of people and damages along with no c&c custodial care for this place rather looks of a depression state for what was once a proud park of the Waipahu community.

Its a nice ballpark. It's one of the few places that has enough lights and facilities to be able to broadcast games for tv from(the other is CORP). The sad part is the homeless whom hangout by the bathrooms and set fire to the pressroom above the 3rd base line. That park has awesome history.

Field is in ok condition. The outfield has some bad bounces. The batters box is soft. More maintenance needs to be done. Don't think of going to the restroom. The homeless have taken it over and it is horrible.

The toilets are dark and dingy. The water faucet in the men's side was broken and unusable. A few people were laying down immediately outside the toilets. My spouse, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters were told to go to another facility to use the toilets.

Love HPU baseball here but the city/county really needs to put some funds toward the press box and dugouts. They are in deplorable condition. HPU has cared for the field but the facilities need maintenance and upgrades.
