My boxer mastiff Prince has natural honey on his bandaged wound and it is regenerating his muscle & tissue growth. This is the best approach for and older dog, and we hope to avoid surgery. Its a natural way to heal. He loves his doctor and aunties at the hospital. If you like a place with people that truly cares, focuses on looking out for the patient, has great parking, and makes you feel like family, this is a great place to bring your fur baby.

We have been taking our dogs there for many years now, and we are so happy with them. The doctors and especially the nursing staff have been amazing. They are our extended dog family and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The care the staff provide to my pet is as if he was theirs. I have absolutely no issues taking him in for his regular nail trim and am also comfortable in taking him in for day boarding. There is a great team at the Kaka'ako Pet Hospital. Thank you all for everything you do.

My rescue dog from Fur Angles had an oral surgery appointment scheduled before I got her. They were more then helpful informing me about what was going to happen and what I needed to do for her. The care she received was outstanding from start to finish. Would recommend 100% for anytime looking for a vet.

The clinic is clean and friendly. I originally didn’t like the curbside only appointment option, but thankfully they also had in clinic visit. The veterinarian was very nice and very thorough with the explanation of what was going on to us.

There's no one else we'd trust our fur baby with. Dr. K and her Team have been Tibbie's primary care physician from the time we adopted her, 13+ years ago. The KPH Team treats Tibbie like a member of their family, she's never just a dog/patient. We want Tibbie to live her best life and as such, we ask a lot of questions. KPH has always been patient and understanding and have never given us the impression that we were overthinking or overreacting. Our Tibbie has her favorite technicians and we've never been given weird looks for requesting them. Oftentimes, her two favorite people, Joyce and Kally will come out to get her when they see our truck in the parking lot. Although there are many Veterinarians closer to us, we gladly make the 45 minute drive to KPH. Our baby is worth it.

I know my cat Bella is a wild one and hard to handle, but everyone I’ve worked with has assured me they will help me with not only her health but the many things like nail clipping that I cannot do by myself. I appreciate how kind everyone there is.

I recommend this clinic for anybody on Oahu! The staff have always been incredibly kind, friendly, and prompt to answer my questions and concerns. They are transparent and truly want to give my cat the best, healthiest, and longest life possible. My cat seems to love them too, after the second trip she no longer meow'd on the way, she knew if she was in the carrier in the car it the destination wasn't something to complain about. Best Vet team I've ever had!

Great vet. We’ve taken our dog here for 5 years and love it. She’s probably seen every vet at the clinic as we just see whoever fits our schedule the best and they’ve been all very kind and helpful.

We first met with Dr.X for our Teddy's allergy occurrence (ear infections and foot irritations) and our want for a holistic approach versus our our previous pill pushing (Apoquel) vet, and we couldn't have been happier with her equally holistic approach that required no frequent shots or pills. We simply switched him to the z/d Science Diet Formula, which had worked wonders. Fast forward several months and we suspect a ear infection on its way. We take him in and $300+ later are told he is fine by Dr.X who also applauds is for our proactive behavior... he gets an infection in his ear not even a week later that results in maroon coloring, yeast production, and skin flakes from scratching. We bring him in for an emergency visit. Spend another $200+ for an exam/culture, cleaning, AND THE VERY SAME OINTMENT ($15) FOR HIS FEET AND CHEST THAT WE WERE TOLD EXPLICITLY TO NOT USE FOR HIS EARS TO DROP IN HIS EARS (Animax Ointment). Anyway, went to go pick up the ONLY food that helps my Teddy and the vet tech tells me we have to make an appointment for an annual check up, which means shots, exams, and whatever for another 250+, before we can pick up any more of the food my Teddy needs daily. Trying to make a profit in exchange of my dogs needs. I SHOULDN'T NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON FRIVOLOUS EXAMS IN ORDER TO RECIEVE MY FURBABIES ONLY FOOD.

Very hesitant to use this company, despite their high rating here. They want to charge $25 deposit before they do anything. Then when you ask for a quote , they refuse to put anything in writing. Of course this was another sign that they are going to rip you off. Since Covid , they don't allow you inside the building. So you cannot see what they are doing. A third bad sign. I'm not sure if they helped with my cat or if it would have gotten better on its own. So I don't trust this company and will not be doing my business with them. Too bad.

Vet techs are friendly and caring. Dr.’s are also very informative & explains in layman’s terms. Easy to understand and talk to. Can’t wait for in-office visits again.

It was our first time meeting Dr. Takahashi. She was thorough in explaining what was going on with Blu and how she would treat him. I felt Blu was in good hands. Later when I went to pick him up I saw Dr. Koreyasu taking a dog outside so I went to say hello. She already knew what was going on with Blu and so I asked about prevention measures and she agreed I need to keep him on a low fat diet for life. I couldn't ask for better care from these two vets and their wonderful staff. I should say that Dr. Koreyasu was my previous dog's vet. When this dog got seriously ill with a major heart condition Dr. Koreyasu made the arrangements to have her put on the surgery list of a surgeon who flew in to Honolulu for complex cases such as my dog. She arranged for a pacemaker to be delivered in time for the surgery and even attended the surgery at no cost to me. My dog ended up living three extra years because of the efforts of these vets and the one whose surgical hospital was used and who assisted. I will always be grateful. Whenever I took this dog to see her Dr. Koreyasu she would sing and do a dance when we got close to the office!

Staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Quality care and convenient location. Couldn't ask for more.

We have been coming here for all of our 4 legged family members and they treat my family really well and they are so considerate about the intentions of the owners. Its not all about the money, but the care is no. 1

Ive been coming here since I moved in 2019 and honestly LOVED this place. The people are amazing and they really cared about my dog and her health issues. Dr. Kenny was an amazing vet and it’s a shame she moved away because I really liked her honesty and willingness to tell me the truth about all my choices to help my dog. I changed to a different vet and my experience was alright, everyone was still super friendly. This week though they’ve had someone who doesn’t usually answer the phones, I’m not sure if it’s a new or different front desk assistant. I called earlier last week and she was very unprofessional. Sighing on the phone, sounded agitated. It was not a good experience. I did call her out on it but let it go, everyone has a bad day at work, I understand that. Today when I called though for my dogs condition, she was very defensive and exclaiming that I am accusatory of the office and saying they are basically not doing their jobs. She became defensive about our phone conversation the other day and it was so unprofessional. It left me in tears mostly because it breaks my heart that I feel like I need to find a new vet for Lola. It’s crazy how one bad apple can really plant a bad seed. She was not a nice person… maybe she did have my dogs health in mind but it didn’t sound like it at all. Customer service is very important! Kakaako vet would do themselves a favor by taking her off the phones and having the wonderful people who usually work them on. Very upsetting that I am now looking for a new vet for help.

I really love Kakaako Pet Hospital. It's in a convenient location close to my home, the staff really take care of my puppy and they are super friendly. I'm glad my puppy is in such wonderful hands when we visit KPH for his check ups.

I used Kakaako Pet Hospital in the past when my pups regular vet went on vacation, then he decided to retire a few years ago. I permanently switched over to Kakaako Pet Hospital and am glad I did. I have had multiple bad experiences with VCA so they were never going to be an option for me. They entire staff seems to remember all of the pets names as well as the owners. I am extremely satisfied with the experience, professionalism, and rapport with the entire staff starting with receptionist and ending with the Vet I recently had to take one of my pups to be looked at and they were able to fit me in same day. I was not expecting that and everything went smoothly with no problems. Other than perhaps my accidentally hanging up on the vet but that was me not them. If you are looking for a vet or need one in an emergency, I highly recommend Kakaako Pet Hospital.

My cat was trying to pee but little or nothing in litter box. She was acting ok but her appetite was low and frequency to litter box high. I called in the morning and they were able to take her in the same morning. Shawnee was very kind and understanding during intake. Dr. Sasaki was very thorough and informative. explained what she found and did not find. Suggested what I could do in the future to prevent a recurrance. Being able to drop her off for treatment and getting a call when she is ready for pick up is great. I would recommend this facility and staff for anyone needing pet care.

We know our pet is in good hands when he comes to see you. Covid has been tricky, but you've managed to find a process that keeps everyone safe while our pet still gets great care. We are so grateful to be part of your 'Ohana!
