I absolutely love our new vet. We recently moved back to the island with our three cats and that in itself was an anxiety ridden adventure curtsy of our mainland vet who did not understand what we needed from them. But the staff at Aina Haina Pet Hospital made us feel so comfortable and I more than trust them with my kittens. They were able to get us in relatively soon after our move. Not having unpacked all our boxes when I called to schedule the appointment, they reached back to our old vet and got their records making things so much less stressful for us. With COVID restrictions we called on arrival and they brought out our new patient forms. Though we had three separate appointments scheduled, they took all three of them back at once to make things easier. They use the TeleVet app, they told me this when I booked and I forgot, and because I didn't have it downloaded this time around, our vet came out and explained everything to me face to face. I have so much confidence in her with her manner and how well she explained things to me. When we got back home the kittens were much less stressed and much more forgiving than they usually are coming back from the vet and I attribute that to how well they were handled during the visit. I cannot recommend them enough!

We have been going to Aina Pet Hospital for 39 years. We have taken all our poodles to Dr. Al Takayama Sr and Dr. Allen Takayama . They have taken excellent care for all our three poodles. They are honest and has our family in their best interest. They are doctors we can Trust and have Confidence in, this is what we all want for your four legged kids. The staff is also over the top they are always so pleasant !! This is a unsolicited review.

Great service nail cuts 11 or 12 some thing

We discovered this vet office after adopting our first cat from the Honolulu Humane Society three years ago. Right away we knew we wouldn't find a better vet. Over the years everyone from the front desk, to the techs, to our vet Dr. Nicole was amazing. When one of our cats became very ill they worked her in to be seen right away. When it came time to move, they helped us navigate the crazy red tape of moving pets during covid. When you take your pets to Aina Haina Pet Hospital you know that they are in good hands.

My pup usually goes to the vet on Hickam, but when they can't get us in we come here! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. They were able to get my pup in the same day I called and get him ready to go off island.

Great staff...very professional...attentive to your needs. Bring our Hoku here for yearly checkups and boarding when we go on vacation. We trust them with our pet!

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, we witnessed them acknowledge multiple customers by name so it looks like we found a good spot for our dog and cat! Our dog and cat aren't fans of the vet in general but they were able to get us in and out pretty painlessly. Our rescue dog unfortunately is unpredictable with her peers, they offer solo boarding which is great to have as a backup plan if we can't find a sitter. The waiting area is laid out oddly and was a bit chaotic, though that may be a product of it being a very busy day.

The staff were friendly and kind. They treated our dog well and were very informative. We had gotten our dog from the humane society about a month ago and didnt get our first visit until yesterday. They still honored the free first visit which was incredibly nice. Thank you!

We love the Takayama's! We've been going to their clinic (with our four cats) for many years beginning when they were in Aina Haina and Dr. T's father was the vet. They've taken care of a number of our dogs and cats over the decades and are wonderful caring people. Their staff also reflects this caring attitude. They have a thriving veterinary business at they are very popular in the East Oahu community.

AHPH treats you like family. We have been part of their family for over 13 years. They have helped to save our pets lives and comforted us when The White Ninja passed. Our Athlete Jake will be 17 next month and they treat him like one of their own!!! Great care at an affordable price.

I've taken both my dog and my cat to Dr.Takayama. He has always treated them with the utmost care and understands my concerns as a pet parent...a slightly over protective one. The staff is always friendly and they've been very accommodating when I've had to squeeze in because my fur babies have gotten into who knows what and eaten it causing the need for an urgent vet visit. I've tried several other veterinarians prior to Dr. Takayama and I was very underwhelmed with their care and overwhelmed by their prices. I'm very happy to have found the right doctor and place to take my babies.
