😠 Star at reception is rude and unhelpful. Dr. Haverkort-Yeh weirdly didn’t mention that there was an adderall shortage she just prescribed it and sent it over to the pharmacy knowing it wasn’t in stock. When I call back to see if we can find other pharmacy or maybe an alternative medication she says... People often mention Scott, appointment, phone, Manakai, office, time, staff, Malama, medical, call,

Star at reception is rude and unhelpful. Dr. Haverkort-Yeh weirdly didn’t mention that there was an adderall shortage she just prescribed it and sent it over to the pharmacy knowing it wasn’t in stock. When I call back to see if we can find other pharmacy or maybe an alternative medication she says I have to schedule another appointment. Then after another appointment for the same thing we finally get a prescription that someone might have in stock they keep forgetting to send it to the pharmacy. Marjorie, her assistant can’t be bothered to resend it or call me back. That being said, Jeff is great and Dr. Scott is unproblematic

I just read the new review about manakai o’malama as I’ve long wanted to give them a bad review remembering attempting to call for a week and no one answered the phone or returned calls. Whenever I call to make a simple request the assistants don’t know what they’re doing, are rude and condescending inappropriate, and no one calls me back. They take months to get anything accomplished - bloodwork, etc. I am shocked they are still in business I believe they discriminate against certain types of patients

I took my girlfriend here after her car accident and she has been going here for a while. We had a very difficult time getting in touch with someone at the office. I spoke with several different people but they all seemed a little confused or flustered when I tried to schedule her appointment. Fortunately I spoke with Jeff on the phone. He was wonderful and understood our situation and helped get her set up with the doctor and explained to us everything we needed to know before coming in. He got her paper work emailed to us in seconds. We arrived 20 minutes early wuth the paperwork but when we came into the office it just seemed chaotic. There were only 2 receptionist working but they were so occupied with other things that they forgot to check her in. 10 minutes past her appointment time, the nurse took her in. A couple weeks later we got a bill, I called and asked to speak with someone from billing but they put me on hold for a while. When I finally got to speak with a biller she seemed upset and had an almost condescending tone when explaining to me the billing process. Despite the issues with the front desk and billing, her doctors and therapists have been great. If service was better then i would give a higher rating. I would suggest looking elsewhere for treatment if you can, but if you do choose to go here then I suggest speaking with Jeff or an office manager for help.

II called to arrange a "new patient" appt and the girl was so kind, patient and understanding to my needs. She made an appointment in the next day or so. It was my very first appt and the front end was very welcoming. I was called in right away and Roxanne was great, but at the end I was rushed out but I had told her I had a couple of other concerns, but she said we can talk about it on the next visit a week later. I don't like feeling rushed to leave, but I'll give it another try when I go back this week. By the way, how long can a visit be? I believe I was there in the room for maybe 10- 15 minutes top. 🤔

The Staff at Manakai are top notch. They are curtious The Doctors are personable and always do their best to make me feel heard and understood. They offer so many services from PT, Massage and acupuncture all of which I have been a recipient of. Highly recommend.

The therapists, nursing staff (Dorothy) and providers (Dr. Levy) are great..if you can actually see them. The reception is a mess, doubt me, keep reading comments. When they're busy they will literally pick up the phone and hang it up, simply to stop the ringing. This is Dr office, a healthcare facility..not a McDonald's. Incredibly unprofessional. Answer the phone. I was in too much pain to actually come in to see Dr. Levy with the sole purpose of discussing this and the new medication he prescribed. The "new girl" at reception, who is no longer new, she's been there since I first started going here, yet somehow is either blamed for everything, as if that's supposed to make it ok, never emailed the telehealth link. I tried calling for hours, got the hang up game until 10 min before my scheduled appt. Too late. She is either unable to perform the duties, so maybe time to let her go, or she gets blamed. Since I talked to her, I'm guessing it's a mix of excuses. She never called to say she messed up, nothing. Just let me wait 4 hours to be told she "did it wrong " by a coworker. They've mixed my appts (never ever leave without a printout, even though your "proof" won't matter when you get there but still have no appt.) I feel bad for the service providers who are undoubtedly not making the money they should be due to these errors. Mostly, I feel bad for the patients. Shop around. Why go to a facility that is a chaotic mess and screws up your appts? If you need PT or other services, go where you'll get them.

Simply terrible. Just plain awful. Where to start... Wife's 1st appointment was later in the afternoon. Arrived 45 minutes early and receptionist refused to check her in. Waited over an hour and a half, asking multiple times if her appointment was in the system. This was met with annoyance and contempt that the receptionist should be bothered to do her job. Eventually found discovered that she was in the "back" system but not the "front" system, and was told that it was now too late in the day to be seen and could not reschedule in person. Horrendous first experience should have been enough to know not to come back. But, for the sake of chance she gave it another shot. Was called back and apologized to for the negligent service and rescheduled. Upon return to office, her appointment was supposed to be a 60 minute consultation as referred by her PCM. Dr. David Kaminskas came in, asked a couple general questions. He was not in receipt of any of my wife's records nor any information from her PCM. No questioning of her history of symptoms nor severity. No, he told her to "take magnesium and monitor your symptoms." When my wife inquired about the appointment being an in-depth consultation, he replied on his way out the door was "I have other patients to get to." I have a great many opinions I would like to express about Dr. Kaminskas and my wife's experience at Manakai O Malama, but the story speaks for itself. Would never go back there. Would never recommend. Just an absolute appalling lack of concern or attention at all. But at least they got their $225 copay out of us.

My husband and I have been getting our medical needs met at Manakai o Malama since 2009. The medical staff is courteous and professional, and the waiting area is spacious and comfortable. The doctors and physician assistants take the time and trouble to make sure you know what is going on with your health and have appropriate medication. We appreciate the ability to make appointments online or by phone. The only thing missing is the ability to pay bills online. Five stars isn't enough.

The doctors that I have worked with at Manakai O Malama have been great. I have recommended them a few times to relatives and friends. The administrative staff sometimes seems to be a bit overwhelmed, so, for example, you may need to follow up more than once by phone on questions or prescription requests. But for me, it's been a good experience overall.

I have been coming to Manakai O Malama for close to 8 yrs now for my pain management and if it weren't for PA Scott Acree, I would be either very ill or dead. I started out strickly dealing with my pain management, but Scott noticed other unmentioned issues in my chart, mainly high blood pressure. After several visits for pain, he decided to dig deeper. Well, because my blood pressure was not being managed by my PCP at another facility, Scott decided he would deal with it. After several blood test, it was determined that I was in stage 3 of Chronic Kidney Disease or CKD. This is one step above Diaylsis. He started me on blood pressure meds IMMEDIATLY, but the damage was done. He refered me to the best Nephrologist Dr. Tasaki which he took over my kidney care. My kidneys have now stablized. Also Scott did not like my cholesterol and triglyceride results. He put me on meds for this also. Now my numbers are like a 20 yr old. Scott continued to research my issues and continued to make things right. I am also grateful for Margie, as she always deals with any of my med issues or problems getting my meds. She understands how important meds are and goes out of her way to make things right. She does not wait around to be told what to do, SHE GETS IT DONE. With all this said, again Scott saved my life and my quality of life. Margie, well lets just say, she gets things done. ALL the staff are wonderful, but these two are my life savers. I want to add also the new staff member Kayla at the front desk. Whenever I call to speak to an individual, she does not just pass my phone call on to an empty office with an answering machine, BUT actually gets up and goes to look for the individual and makes it happen. Now, if I need anybody and she does not answer the phone, I will request to speak to her first. Thank you Kayla.

My family and I were in Hawaii temporarily seeking to get our annual physicals done and fill out some medical paperwork. We tried finding a facility that took our insurance but were unsuccessful. Fortunately we found this place. At first I wasn't sure we would be accepted or if the doctor would fill out the paperwork but thankfully Jeff spoke with me and helped me set up appointments for my whole family over the phone. He was extremely kind and helpful, always keeping contact with me through email if I had questions and sending me important documents and information. My first experience was there was wonderful, Dr. Levy and the office staff were so helpful and nice. Extremly impressed by the professionalism they shown. Highly recommend visiting the integrative clinic for your medical needs. Thank Jeff and Dr. Levy for all your help!!!

I was referred to Manakai O Malama from the Va. My nurse was very helpful, and a sweetheart. Dr. Levy reviewed my record jacket, and suggested a flew shot, and I was on my way. Exceptional service, extremely clean, and the people are just wonderful. Full 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

I (and my family of 4) have been going to Malama since we moved back home to the islands 10 years ago. As a single Mother of 3 boys you can imagine how often we must get medical care or advice for "something". ;) Scott Acree in particular is our PA - it is because of Scott we still go there. He takes time to listen, and even will answer personal texts (which I RARELY try to do) to make sure we are ok or getting the medical care we need. My kids love him too! I have been wanting to write a review for some time now and finally taking the time to do this as I know how important health care is right now. I hope this helps some other Mom find the perfect spot for her to take herself and her family. With Much Aloha, ~ Tamara & Boys!

My husband was recommended a Urologist from Queens which failed to make contact with us. After a few weeks of suffering Margerie called to check up on us. After hearing the referred Urologist didn’t get back to us, she quickly referred a Urologist from Straubs which we immediately received a response and appointment. Hats off to Margeries genuine concern and quick thinking we were able to receive excellent service from the best Urologist from Straub ( Dr. Chinn). Thank you so much Margerie for going above and beyond. ~A Johnston

😠 I want to give this place a better review, but I honestly can’t.
