Walk in clinic

😠 I was dissatisfied with Doctor’s on Call @ Sheraton Waikiki. When I walked into the clinic, no one noticed me, a woman came in behind me a few minutes later and they immediately went to her, although she saw me standing there, she should had said that I should be helped first! Or maybe yet, I should... People often mention results, clinic, test, doctor, needed, time, call, desk, asked, care,

We came here for pre-travel covid testing 48 hours before our flight departure. We ended up having to rebook our flight because we did not get the test results in time. Turns out it was because the technician did not enter our information correctly. For one in our group, the last name was spelled wrong. For another the birthday was entered wrong. As a result, our results didn’t show up in our account and we had to call to figure out where our results went. The lack of attention to detail and organization here is really quite concerning.

This clinic is disorganized and unprepared for the Pre-traveling COVID tests. While we were in the clinic, they did not ask to confirm our registration information, and later misspelled our name and birthdays, which caused a few of my friends to not be identified with the system. Communication with the clinic was also difficult, they provided no updates on our lab results and we had to follow up multiple times for their mistake. Their disorganization eventually caused us to miss our flight. We paid 150 for the rapid test and did not get our results in time.

I was dissatisfied with Doctor’s on Call @ Sheraton Waikiki. When I walked into the clinic, no one noticed me, a woman came in behind me a few minutes later and they immediately went to her, although she saw me standing there, she should had said that I should be helped first! Or maybe yet, I should have SHOUTED I HAD BEEN WAITING FIRST! (She was returning for her test results). So I continued to wait for another minute, then I walked around to the back inside the testing clinic to the area what appeared to be an administrative desk, stood there for several moments, they all made like they were busy yet I didn’t see any other patients in the large room! Finally the gal behind the main computer looked up and asked if I needed something, so I told her I was not acknowledged at the front no one helped me. She said to go back there and someone would help me. When I got back to the front, they were still talking to the woman who was there for her results and when one of the guys saw me, he assumed I was with her! Instead of asking me if I had been helped yet or need any help! I told him I had an appointment at 1pm, my name was on his list; I showed him the form I took with me (from the doctor) and asked if he needed it and he said no, he saw my name on the form. Quite odd as I don’t recall ever not surrendering the doctor’s order. He asked for my identification card, I gave it to him and he told me to have a seat opposite from where we were. I sat and sat and sat and sat and thought, is he going to give me my license back?! What is he doing??? Next thing a tester in full PPE garb approached me; she gave me back my license and administered the nose test (only outer nostrils swab). I asked her about viewing my test results and she asked if the doctor had given me a packet to create an account with Doctors on Call, which I do not recall receiving. As I was leaving, the gal behind the administrative desk said the doctor will be able to view the test result online. What about me?!? I’d like to know the results at the same time the doctor sees it. Very very bad system and I will let others know about my experience today!

I’ve taken my daughter here twice and had great service both times. Her pediatrician is at the Kailua Straub, but both times we needed urgent care on a Sunday when neither the Kailua nor the Hawaii Kai locations are open. You’ll want to make to park in the Sheraton parking lot, not the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, in order to get validated parking - I posted a photo of what the Sheraton parking entrance looks like. To get to the clinic, you’ll want to proceed down one of the staircases to the right of the hotel lobby entrance. Once your visit is complete, be sure to ask the person at the front desk to validate your parking!

I've been going here for years and I find the nurses and doctors extremely pleasant and caring. I've always been so/so with everyone else. I just finished an extremely irritating phone call when calling in about switching insurance. I was interrupted four times and received a condescending tone the entire time. I'm rating three stars because I love the treatment here, but the individual I just talked to needs to be addressed because I'm sure I'm not the only one that has been met with that disrespect.

WORST visit EVER. This place is unreasonably expensive and people who work here are simply inadequate. PERIOD. Unorganized on so many levels. They spelled our names wrong and got our dates of birth wrong as well. They all better get their sh%*s together or get fired. For real. Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider visiting this location.

I used this clinic to get my PCR (Abbott ID NOW) - I choose this one so can get my results within an hour. As soon as I walked in, there was someone there to direct me and I was guided all the way through. They were all very professional and the process was very easy. I would definitely recommend.

Save yourself the trouble and do not come here for a COVID test before your international flight. 1. The word "PCR" does not appear on the test results. According to Hawaiian Airlines they need to see the word "PCR" on your COVID test to allow you to check in. I was almost unable to check in. Luckily I did a backup test at CVS. 2. They say walk-ins welcome from 10am-5pm. That is not true. If you come at 10am there is a high chance you won't be able to get a test. We came at 9am and were able to secure a 2pm slot and were told there were many others who lined up earlier than that.

Came to see a doctor about my wife's pains. We were greeted at the door by a staffer, and they asked us about the symptoms, then recommended we call first for a televisit. The call was super fast and straight forward. The doctor gave great advice and prescription immediately. We were there less than 25 mins. This was painless! I wish my wife's symptoms were as painless as this. If you're looking for the place, it's to the right of the main entrance down the stairs next to a few other storefronts.

Avoid at all costs. 100% insurance and patient SCAM. I took my daughter here for an ear infection (swimmers ears) and despite making an appointment, they charged us for an emergency visit which is 5 times more expensive than appointments. They also asked us to come for a follow up at no charge but still charged the insurance again for another emergency visit. At both visits, the doc prescribed drugs that didn’t work. I called today to ask to get a replacement drug since they have diagnosed my daughter twice but they wanted to charge me a third time doe “virtual visit” even though it’s just switching medications without having to talking to the damn doc. SCAM and they feast off the tourists. No wonder they’re located right in the middle of Waikiki. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Only one or two people at the front desk are friendly, and the doctors I've seen are stupid. It doesn't judge what's right, it's slow, and it doesn't do anything. Don't go anywhere and call yourself a doctor. I will never go here again and do not recommend this hospital.

Brought my son after he fell and hit his head on a coffee table. I knew he needed stitches and we ran with him to get him checked out. Forgot half of our stuff. They were very understanding and kind. When the doctor looked and said that he does need stitches but she’s unable to do it due to how close it is to his eye. She didn’t charge us for the visit and then had their driver take us to a local children’s hospital, also for free. Thank you for all of your help!

I was on vacation in Hawaii, and had to unexpectedly get my appendix removed. Thank you to everyone that helped me get through the surgery quickly. I went to the Straub clinic (Sheraton) at 6:30pm and was assessed by Dr. Dunn to go to the ER at the Straub Medical Center (taxi was paid by clinic). I appreciate the seamless flow between the two Straub facilities. By 8:45pm I was in ER, around midnight I got results back from the CT scan that I needed my appendix removed. They realized I was a tourists, so I was scheduled early next morning for surgery to help make my flight the next day. I'm recovering well now in Vancouver. They didn't even use sutures on my skin, I just have an interesting clear patch sealing the 3 small incisions. I'll be back at work 2 Mondays from the surgery. Thank you to all the medical staff that was considerate and caring during my visit.

Do not see Dr Baliad or Dr Barahal. Both must be “Fraud” doctors or just don’t care? My wife saw Dr Baliad 3 days ago with blisters of face (3 marks), pain 10/10, ear sore / pain. He saw her for 30 seconds, didn’t want to come close, address ear with med and told her to take advil or Tylenol, all during 30 seconds!! She went back 3 days after, saw Dr Barahal but the nurse had to tell the doctor what my wife had, he didn’t notice at first that she had shingles! Both are sub par doctors!! What we expect is the doctors to perform a thorough review and prescribe right medication. What the first doctor prescribed was WRONG! Wasn’t ear issue but shingles!! Yes, we have a doctor shortage but these two are subpar!!! Both were not able to determine her illness. They must have gotten his training from YouTube or just collecting a check!! Both needs to be removed before Straub gets sued for malpractice! DO NOT see Dr Baliad or Barahal!! They both are Fraud from Straub!! The bright spot are the admin staff and nurses!! They are keeping the place running? Doctors must go!!

I needed to find immediate medical care and found this place through my insurance. Even better that they were only a 5min walk from our hotel. I received unbiased and quick care. Upon arrival they had me sit outside to do a video visit since I had a fever in the last 24 hours. Dr Bagarinao was kind and compassionate and thorough. They provided me with a sample medication with supplies as well as prescriptions and instructions on how to get to the nearest pharmacy. I would absolutely recommend this place without hesitation.

Avoid this place if you need PCR test for travel. We scheduled our tests about 70 hours before our flight, but they still could not guarantee results within that time. Furthermore, receiving the results is overly complicated and the people at the clinic gave misleading info on how to receive them. Instead of the results just being emailed when they are ready, you need to send a request for your results through a webform. The clinic then needs time (at least 1-2 days they said) to process your request for results, before they can finally send them by email. We don’t live in the US, but the webform requires you to write your US zip code, so we waited until the next day to call the clinic during its limited office hours, just to find out that you can just put any numbers as "zip code". All this bureaucratic circus caused unnecessary delay and stress.

Just don’t....look for another place, it will save you time and money because of them I missed my flight. Told me the test would be available within 24-46 hours, most likely 24. I had to call several times to get an update and how would they even give me my results if they wrote down my personal information incorrectly?!?! Don’t understand how they were able to mess things up but when I showed up there was no one there. Just keep looking for other covid testing centers

While in Honolulu, I developed a fever and visited the hospital. Since I had overseas travel insurance, when I informed them of this, they quickly prepared the documents and handled the situation cashlessly. There was a Japanese interpreter at the reception desk, which made me feel at ease. The nurse was friendly and explained things to me in Japanese, and the doctor was accompanied by an interpreter, so I had a good understanding of the diagnosis, treatment methods, and medications. Thankfully, after taking some medicine and taking a nap, I felt better and was able to continue sightseeing.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST — PLEASE READ THIS they first charged us $150 which is ridiculous... but we didn’t mind as long as the test result came. They got our NAMES and BIRTHDAYS wrong on the system (you literally just have to look and write down what’s on the license. how blind can you be?????) even though the place was NOT BUSY at all. the test results never came and they told us they had to fax it to us (who has fax when they are traveling? Ugh). Soooo not worth the price we paid for.

Experience on this site was absolutely unpleasant. Dr. Dunn, if you're reading this - I am !!!EXTREMELY!!! disappointed in your 'Patien-Doctor' conversation. Rude, judgemental and rough. This is not a way you treat a patient. Not coming back again.

This has to be the best Urgent Care we have ever used. Both my husband and I needed their services and they literally saved our vacation. The front desk was helpful and very courteous, the assistants thorough and the Doctors top notch. We have a timeshare right around the corner and are so relieved to know they are there for us if needed. They were lifesavers to us. Many thanks! Mahalo!

It was okay. The staff there is not exactly friendly but they are not rude either. It seemed they see people visiting the clinic as transactional people. In this COVID-19 situation, don’t blame them feeling that way. Gotta thank those who work in the medical field to continue to help. 👏

The absolute worst care ever. Dr’s and nurses should not have a degree! They refused to see someone in pain!! The sole purpose and dr’s oath is to take care of the sick.

I went there last night for a really bad migraine. I hate going to the doctors for immediate migraine relief because my first experience was so traumatic. But they completely changed my mind! The nurses and doctors were so kind and understanding. Christine was the absolute best! Very sweet and helpful can’t recommend them enough.

I am so happy I found this clinic. The shuttle service as a life saver for my sick daughter. They took care of us and were so helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to get us taken care of while on vacation.

I have never had a better medical experience! Being a Straub member made everything super easy. All the information they needed was in the system. Because of my spinal condition, I asked if I could use my yoga mats to lay down while I waited for a room. Instead, they got me into one straight away so I could use the table. I was there because the was in one ear was impacted, and I couldn't hear anything. Dr. Price came in almost immediately, took a look, and handed off the treatment to Divina, one of the nurses. She did a superb job, all the impacted was was gone, and I could hear clear as a bell. But there's much more. I'd left my phone in the taxi! Divina let me use the phone in the room to handle that little mess and arrange for the driver to drop it off at the security desk of my condo. They graciously allowed me to use the table in the room to wait for the taxi to arrive AND had the taxi driver call THEM to alert me he'd arrived. WOW! I wish I could transport that entire operation to the main clinic! It was excellence through and through. I could not be more grateful.

The local person at the reception desk who can speak Japanese is lying, and the way he speaks is threatening and arrogant, like someone from the immigration office. A liar who insists he doesn't have an exit stamp even though he has one. Never go here. I agree with the 3.2 reviews. I went to a clinic with 4.2 reviews because their attitude was rude, they lied and it was abnormal, and I was able to receive excellent treatment. I think this is a clinic that you should never go to if you are not feeling well. By the way, I can speak English.
