Lady working the front desk not keeping her mask on consistently. Constantly pulling her mask down and up. Very rude to whoever she was talking to on the phone at the time asking about a patient's info. Also, the PA Vincent Tenorio, was not wearing a mask AT ALL when first interacting with me. When I asked him about wearing a mask, he claimed that he did not need one for the test he would be administering. Then he comes back with a mask. When I returned after a few days for a follow-up appointment, the front desk lady continued to "wear" her mask, even despite them having a line of people getting tested for COVID19. It is absolutely frightening and disappointing to see those working at a health facility with such negligence for public health and safety. I will be reporting them to the Department of Health. Cheers!

Do not go to this clinic!!! Every single employees are snappy unprofessional, outside inside of the clinics are covered with dirt, zero visible hygiene. Gross, disgusting, dingy area. Beyond rude patient service. Dr and nurses are very unkind and unprofessional. Disrespectful must be a mal clinic. Only takes cash on top of it.

If you have the option of going somewhere else, I strongly recommend you do! THIS PLACE IS A WASTE OF TIME AND THERE IS NO PROFESSIONALISM! My husband and I came here on a referral from our insurance, same day, and we waited outside for hours! During the time we were waiting, my husband called the clinic to see what we needed to do (whether it be filling out paperwork or checking in over the phone), and the Lady told us that we just need to wait outside and wait for someone to hand us a form to fill out. There were like 8 people all waiting outside and no one was outside handing our forms. So finally a lady came outside and started performing covid tests on people in the line in front of us. I went up to ask her where the form is to fill out and that we've been waiting for hours, she told me that everyone is on Lunch and they are eating so we need to wait. I asked how long until they'll be starting to take people, she said 1:30pm and it was 12:50pm. Also keep in mind this was told to us after waiting waiting outside for 40 minutes before hearing that. First of all, it is very unprofessional for an Urgent Care Healthcare Facility to state that they are open to public if they don't hAve any staff available to take appointments/walk-ins. Also, employees should be taking Lunch breaks 1 at a time or two at a time NOT all at once. Again, they might as well be closed for that duration of their Lunch break. Just overall horrible client service! This place is a literal joke, just don't come here. I would rate this a -5 if I could! Update: they didn't even start taking patients until 1:47pm. Also, after they took our covid test, we waited in the back like they said. A guy came out and my husband tried telling him we're waiting for a doctor and he didn't even stop to listen, he just said okay, while my husband was mid sentence, and went inside. STAFF ARE HORRIBLY RUDE!

Paid $50 for a Covid test. Then they sent me a bill for _another_ $300. I'm sorry, what? I never agreed to that. And in what universe does a Covid test cost $350???

I wish I could rate it at 0 stars! On 12/01/2020 I went to their Waikiki Location to get a Covid-19 test. The testing was performed in the parking lot. I didn't see the doctor. They showed me their price list and I chose the PCR test that was not for travel and cost $25. I paid $25 right there and received my test results within 3 days. I was happy with their service at that point... but! Then, in May 2021, I received the bill from the Clinical Labs of Hawaii for $125. When I called the lab, they said that this was the bill for the same Covid test I did back on 12/01/20 and already paid $25. This additional charge was not disclosed to me during the visit and I don't understand why I should pay the bill from the lab directly, but not from the facility I went to. The lab advised to call my insurance and see if they will cover the $125 for the test. I called my insurance and was surprised to find out that my insurance also paid $219.90 to Dr. Brenner at Kalihi Kai Urgent Care for the same 12/01/20 visit. I asked my insurance to give me more information and they said that they see that it was a doctor's office visit for pain complaints. As I mentioned before I have never seen the doctor during my visit at their parking lot! So the Kalihi Kai UC billed my insurance for the service that was never performed, took $25 "service fee" from me for swabbing, and had the lab bill me $125 directly for the actual test. Isn't it illegal to bill insurance for something that was never done?! I am surprised that this place is still open after running the business practices this way.

I would not recommend coming here for COVID Testing. It took 2 hrs to do a rapid test even when they were only 3 people in front of me in line. Waste of time, go somewhere else

The staff here was very welcoming and offered me to lay down while they ran my tests. They even brought me a pillow and a blanket :). I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you!

Refused a nurse hotline referral and other forms of covid testing as "valid" test. Then they said they would exam me but only after I pay for and take one of their rapid test. Terrible service.

Rapid Covid Test for $170 overall, is it worth? On August 16th, 2021, I was pregnant and had fevers and bad sore throat. My insurance was Kaiser but at that time, it was almost 4pm and I could not drive up to their testing place so I chose Kalihi Kai Urgent Care's Covid Rapid Test. I paid $50 at the Kalihi Kai Urgent Care after providing ID and Insurance card! I did ask about my insurance and the staff said that was fine, I needed to pay $50 for the Rapid test anyway. I paid by credit card so I still have proof of this payment. At that time, the procedure was conducted outside right their door. They said it only took 15mins but I waited 30-45mins since being tested till I got the result. I understood that they were busy, that was fine. Then I got the Positive result, which was shown in YELLOW PAPER saying that I need to isolate at home bla bla, signed by their provider. And then the staff came to me again and asked me to give them the specimen again. I questioned, they said this specimen would be sent to the Labs ( Clinical Labs of Hawaii) to make sure that I had Covid and that they can report to the government. There were so many people being tested for the second time in order to send to the Labs like me. The staff DID NOT mention about extra charge, they DID NOT ask whether I wanted to have the second check or not and if there was an extra charge, would I want to continue or not! I left this place thinking that I just paid $50 for the Rapid test and the part of the Labs was included. Today, November 14th, 2021, I received a bill from Clinical Labs of Hawaii, saying that I owed them $120 for the PCR test. If I got the result from the RAPID TEST already, WHY DO I NEED TO RUN THE PCR TEST? Not necessary at all! I did not know that the Labs will charge me, if I did, and I just got the positive from Rapid Test, why on earth that I want to do the PCR to pay extra? It sounds like Medical Abuse! I, as the patient, DID NOT KNOW about the extra charge, I was only asked to give them the second specimen through my noses so that they can send them to the Labs to double check and report to the government. How terrible after 3 months I have to pay total of $50+$120 for just a COVID testing! I was very disappointed about how the medical staffs from this urgent care performed on their Covid testing process. It was Costly and Unprofessional! I only want the Rapid test, and now after all I have to pay $170 without knowing about the extra charge from PCR! I wish on that day, they could tell me that "okay, this second specimen is for the PCR at the Labs, there is an extra charge..." to get my consent! How terrible it was. $170 is a lot for just a test, especially in this horrible pandemic, $170 could be used for many necessary things! To the Kalihi Urgent Care Supervisor, if you read this, please explain! To the other patients who was charged like me, please speak out! I know there are a lot of people who received this situation too! AND To any government's agents, please investigate! Thank you!

Great place for people in a hurry. My wife and I have gone here multiple times over the years, and it's always been quick and complete. I see all the negative reviews about how "dirty" it is outside; it's in Kalihi on a busy road, there are many people walking around. Blame the people who own the building, not the tenant. Everyone has always been nice and polite to me, I don't know what all the people are complaining about. This place is about efficiency, sorry if you need everyone to bow to you. I'm glad the place is nearby, they've helped my family out a lot.

Very rude staff, doesn’t know how to explain the difference from rapid and PCR test. Wouldn’t entertain questions either “I have to go, I have to go thank you bye bye” Couldn’t set up an appointment Wouldn’t discuss my insurance etc etc Trash

The office was incredibly dirty. The gown they gave me to wear had hair on it. Staff was unprofessional. This is the only doctor office I’ve visited on island where my insurance did not completely cover everything they charged them for. I’ve seen multiple specialist on island where I only owed a copay. Go somewhere else.

Worse front office customer service ever!! Called on behalf of my dad who was declined a doctors note FOR BEING SICK!! When I called they answer the phone but put the phone down, I had to wait a minute but repeat hello 3x until a lady came on. I explained to her that my dad felt sick so he went in, a covid test was performed and it came back negative so he was told he could go back to work and was declined a note. She said there was nothing they can do and he can be seen again to get a note. But why now? Why now can he get a note? All I wanted was the note he was declined the first time. She said she didn’t know. So I asked to speak with the doctor. She said no they were too busy and hung up. What makes this time different? His job would only send him home after going into work SICK. And if he stayed home wouldn’t he need a doctors note eventually?? After calling back and getting through, someone else answered and couldn’t help me either. They declined him a doctors note and still wouldn’t write him one but apparently if he wants a note he needs to see a provider again they could write him one??? Makes no sense! They had no supervisor on duty and said to call back later

After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous. I am not local, and most of these reviews don't seem to be from locals or regular island visitors. Space is tight (welcome to hawaii) and I'm just glad there was an urgent care to check out my ear. It was ruptured and the doctor knew exactly what to do and took care of me fast. Now he was a little late to work.. keep in mind.. hawaii... Aloha time.. if its an emergency go tonthe ER.. I saw nothing wrong with the facitly or the people ..different experience than home.. but I'm somewhere else soo.. Very knowledgeable ..and knew what they were doing. I do recommend if you need care. Service was absolutely horrible. They charged $2 for a mask (which I didn’t mind paying for/I understand the logic) but then lady brings out a mask that she had placed under her clipboard. When I asked to get a more sanitary make, she got an attitude and sent another worker out. This lady proceeded to give me a mask from the box AS SHE SHOULD- took my money with her gloved had - and then proceeded to tell me I couldn’t be seen until my insurance FAXED them some paperwork. They had me waiting outside (which I also understood because of my symptoms) but they were so rude and cold. People deserve better…I took my business elsewhere. It’s rough enough being sick, but being sick and being treated like trash AND being unsanitary is where I draw the line. Not going back, and making sure TriCare avoids sending military members over there as well.

Horrible! Very unprofessional! RIDA CABANILLA ARAKAWA is the owner of this clinic and is Very Very Rude and unprofessional! Making threats of sending a bill to a collection agency when it's the first time receiving the bill after 2 years from a COVID test visit.

The care that I received today was professional and comforting. I went in for an infected insect bite. The Dr. explained the procedure what need to be done. Dr. has a great sense of humor when I was worried about getting a shot. Medical assistant was very friendly and helpful. If I need urgent care I will definitely come back to this office.

The staff here is very friendly! I checked-in and waited only a few minutes before being seen. Arthur Domingo, PA-C is professional but also very easy going. I felt comfortable and he had me feeling better within a couple of days. I would definitely come back again!
