I had Nano hair strokes & shading done and it came out so very very very natural! Makoto drew one hair at a time to create perfectly shaped and natural looking brows! I never expected the results to be this amazing and painless. I walked out the door with very little redness and no swelling. I could have met someone immediately after the procedure without being noticed that I just had my brows done! Makoto was very thorough during the pre-procedure counseling and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. Mako is absolutely amazing! It is so worth the wait. I wanted more of a natural look and she nailed it. I am not a big make up person, so now I wake up, put some powder on my face, mascara and liner and I am out in 5 minutes. Her skillset is off the charts. You need to book with her now !

I have been looking for a "Korean style", "Asian style" eyebrow microblading in Hawaii. I usually do it in Korea but due to the pandemic, I had not been able to. There are so many microblading places in Hawaii but I did not like the thick and too glammy, "local" look. I wanted very natural and clean and so I'm so very glad I found this place. The artist Makoto is Japanese and she is so sweet and listened to what I wanted and I really appreciated that. Their location was very convenient, the studio was immaculate, and my experience was amazing. I am extremely picky about getting anything done in Hawaii but I am so pleased to find someone locally so I dont have to wait every year to go to Korea. I would definitely recommend this place! 😊

Makoto (the owner) worked on my eye brows and herbal Peel facial, Ari worked on my lips and, Lani worked on my eyeliner. They are all very patient, courteous, professional and respectful. The facility is super clean and well organized. The quality of their products and work results are outstanding. Mako is an expert and a perfectionist. She has put in countless hours in the PMU game and she has many many awards from competitions all over the world to prove it. Just trust her! My eyebrows are absolutely flawless. My husband approves too! I am a loyal customer and the service here is like in Japan. Top notch. I've also had my eyeliner done by Lani and I'm coming back in Jan for the follow up session (you need 2 sessions). Not to mention I see Deko for my facials and she gets my face to look youthful and so supple. I get a facial every other month. There's no other permanent make up place in hawaii that I trust! I completed the nano stroke eyebrow course and am in the basic eyeliner course now. I highly recommend taking classes with Makoto, especially as a beginner as there is a great balance of guidance and creativity/independence. The school absolutely sets you up for success and gives you all of the tools, learning opportunities, and guidance needed to become a confident PMU artist!

I was referred to Suzukoo from a friend. She highly recommended the services for eyeliner and shadow. I went to my first appointment and was immediately impressed with the set up, the cleanliness and professionalism of Makoto. At the end of the procedure, I was very happy with the results. I followed up at 6 weeks for my touch up shadow liner. Loved it! Painless! I also completed a Rebelle session. Makoto informed me of what to expect and the following days. I purchased the 5 session package. This procedure made my skin so soft. I also use much less facial products because my skin absorbs the product much better. Highly recommend the nano stroke eyebrows if you are looking for a natural yet defined eyebrows look!! I'm extremely happy with the result! If you want to read my full-report, see below :) Tips and Expectations (from my perspective): 1) Wear your make up to show what style of make up and eyebrow you like when you go to your appointment. 2) Makoto drafted the eyebrow based on the consultation and measurements of my face, and drew the outline of eyebrow - this looked really funny and she told me to ignore the outline because the eyebrow itself would be "inside" the outline. Imagining that was impossible for me, so I basically checked the shape and trusted the process. 3) It was NOT painful at all! Makoto put some topical numbing stuff, and I did not feel pain at all. Maybe some irritation or discomfort when she was working on the same area repetitively but totally bearable. 4) Swelling and scabbing were very minimal, so I could go out immediately after without worrying about looking funky. Just had to make sure to wear a hat to protect my eyebrows from sunlight. 5) Scab came off about 5-6 days after and it was very minimal. Kind of like how you get sunburn and your skin peals off. 6) Not wetting my eyebrows for 10 days was challenging, especially during shower. Makoto gave me 3 clear plastic visors that would stick to your forehead, which was really helpful. So I used them for the first 3 days of showering. For the rest of the 7 days, I washed my hair last and tried my best not to wet my eyebrows. 7) When scab came off, some parts lost color or became lighter which was expected as Makoto explained to me in advance. In my case, this was minimal and I even thought about cancelling my touchup appointment. But because of the slight unevenness in color, I decided to do the touchup. Makoto checked the color and condition, and proposed to change the tone of color to make it more brown. She said that depending on the skin tone, color come out differently from the originally intended color. It did not bother me but making it little more brown-ish aligns better with my style and I'm so thankful that she proposed that option. I'm very happy that I actually went to the touchup session!! I highly recommend Suzukoo Academy for anyone who wants to learn Makoto’s techniques. I took hair stroke and powder brow classes. I was completely beginner but able to learn so much from online lesson and able to be ready for in person lesson after 2 months. Online lessons were very important because I learned the basics of permanent makeup and basic techniques. Every time I submitted my homework, she responded with her comments and more suggestions. I could also ask questions anytime. In-person lessons, I got to see Makoto working on her models. It was very helpful experience for me to learn her techniques. I saw how she worked on her clients like brow mapping, choosing colors, machine techniques and so much more. During the sessions, I could ask questions and take pictures and videos. I also got to work on my own models on the next day I saw Makoto’s works. It was not like practice and took longer time, but glad I was able to work on my own model. Whole lessons were not easy. I needed to focus and practice a lot but it was worth all the time I spent practicing. Again, I really recommend if you are ready and want to learn from one of the top PMU artists!

I did permanent makeup for my lips, eyeliner, and eyebrows with Suzukoo. They are amazing and I highly recommend!! Parking is $2 for the full session with a reserved spot, the location is extremely clean but soothing and comfortable like a spa, the artists are very welcoming, accommodating, and brilliant at their craft! Best decision ever - I look so pulled together all the time with zero effort. 10/10 highly recommend.

I went to Makoto PMU Academy at Suzukoo Relaxation&Skin Design to learn semi permanent makeup. Makoto is one of the very few micropigmentation artists in the U.S. who can do hair strokes for eyebrows using the machine. Her art(eyebrow hair stroke, ombré, lips and eyeliner) is very natural and beautiful, that she won many prizes in various micropigmentation competitions in Europe and the U.S. Makoto’s teaching style is very organized and thorough. The textbooks are very informative. She makes sure you understand, and she teaches you very patiently until you are able to do the technique. Also, homework is very helpful because you get to practice at home on sheets of latex skin. You send the picture of your work to Makoto on WhatsApp, and she gives you feedback right away. I’m very happy that I chose Makoto Academy to learn micropigmentation. Makoto is such a great teacher and an artist, one of the sweetest people I’ve known who wishes you the best to be successful in your new career.

Mako is truly a great microblading tattoo artist ..She won Championship trophies in World Competition doing eyebrows, etc.... she does very good detailed precise tattooing - puts her own creation and style in her work and she gives you beautiful evenly matched eyebrows for your face -- indeed, a notch up compared to other local business competition in HI. I like her quiet Japanese personality; office is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated for her customers. I highly recommend her ... but because she is so good, you have to wait over a month for appointment. Honestly, it is worth the wait.

What a wonderful experience I had in SUZUKOO Relaxation & Skin Design, PMU Academy. From the start, I knew I was in good hands. While I was traveling to Hawaii, I had Nano Hair Brows done by Megumi. I had almost no eyebrows, but when I looked in the mirror after the treatment, I noticed that my eyebrows were fuller. I am very satisfied with the very natural-looking finish. No one noticed that it was a tattoo, and right after the treatment I felt no discomfort at all and it looked natural and I was very happy! I used to hate it when I didn't have eyebrows when I wore no makeup, Since getting Nano Hair, I've been able to go out without makeup. It’s great because it saves you time when applying makeup! I go to Hawaii several times a year, so I'm looking forward to getting a touch-up the next time I go there.

I had Megumi perform the treatment. The result was a result that overturned the image of conventional permanent makeup (eyebrows). During the treatment, anesthesia was applied to me, and even though I am sensitive to pain, I fell asleep and when I woke up, I was deeply moved to see a more dignified version of myself in the mirror than I had ever seen before. It's an addictive technique. I had treated by Megumi for my eye blows.The result was beyond my expectations and completely changed my perception of eyebrow art. I was even given conventional anesthesia cream midway through, and being someone sensitive to pain, I fell asleep. When I woke up , I was deeply impressed to see a dignified version of myself in the mirror that I had never seen before. It's a technique that becomes addictive.
